  • French police have come under scrutiny after accusations of an 'extremely hostile' attitude towards Liverpool fans around the Champions League final at the Stade de France in Paris.

Footage circulated online of police using pepper spray and teargas on fans, seemingly unprovoked. The game's kick-off was delayed by 36 minutes amid security concerns that Uefa initially blamed on the lateness of Liverpool fans and the French government are now blaming on an influx of fake tickets. An investigation is being launched to determine exactly what happened.

Well said mate. At some point weve gottto put tribalism in the bin. This is a class thing. They think they can do what they want to us and deflect it. Look how many of those videos are darker skinned (Thats not a racsist remark! it simply a fact here about Local gangs) clearly not English lads and not a red shirt in sight when theyre rushing in in groups., clearly Algerian/morrocan etc etc as is most of St Denis.. All St Denis gangs causing trouble and normal fans getting tear gassed for it. Uefa have contempt for the fans, the more we go 'Ahh I dont care its only scousers/Macs/cockneys' etc etc they win.

I m from Spain and the final in Paris was a disaster. A lot of Real Madrid s supporters are telling before and afther the match there were hundreds of burglars doing "the business", and there wasn t any police, in the parkigns a lot of the car s of the supporters had been opened or stolen... Paris doesn t deserve a UCL for a long long time. It s a pity for Liverpool s and Real Madrid supporters...

I've seen plenty of footage where fans ( with legal tickets presumably ) were simply strolling into the stadium but the usual tactic of ticketless supporters creating a dangerous crush at the gates to panic police into opening gates failed, as the use of tear gas safely dispersed the crowd. All in all, the correct decision as no one was seriously injured at the stadium save for minor irritation of the eyes.

France has the biggest mouth when it comes to give the lesson to any event happening in the world: they always think just by saying things that they know better than others what to do, and how.
But France for a long time has lost its prestige: it cant organize a football game, and the first thing that Darmanin Ministry of Interior said, is that the trouble was caused by the Liverpool fans. Shame on you!
St Etienne in this week game lost and will play in League 2 next season: the pitch field was invaded, there were many ppl injured. Were the culprits Liverpool fans as well?!
Manipulation of truth to hide incompetency is not only a practice in emergency countries or countries under dictatorship.
Macron government is a perfect illustration of this wall of lies.

Beggars belief that media outlets are afraid to call these scumbags out for their part in this; which only further implies that Liverpool fans did something wrong. Which they didn’t, on the whole.
