why did you use alpha/2 instead of alpha

I'm 1 year late but when you are checking for alternate hypothesis as != (not equal sign) you always use alpha/2 since it's a 2 sided t-test

@@krizh289how abt if we use spss and the output tells us sig 2-tailed, how to interpret that output in 1-tailed?

in the t table , he used one tailed alpha as alpha / 2 , which is same as two tailed alpha
