I'm 77 and a nature writer. I have been sketching birds and flowers for a long time and finishing with colored pencil. I'm now learning to do watercolor. I was so pleased to find you. I enjoy the nature themed projects you offer to paint and have found joy in doing them. Your tutorials are helping me so much and I am learning to sketch with my brush. Thank you. Your work is exquisite.

Absolutely loving watching you paint. I'm quite a newbie to watercolour although I've dabbled in painting and arts and craft all my life. I live in Sunny Queensland Australia and one thing we lack here is autumnal colour. There are only a few trees that lose their leaves, so no burst of autumn colour for me but I love watching you and your most detailed work.

This is lovely. I’m buying both of your books in the next few days. It’s important to study your large rendition of your leaves and flowers in a large side that you made earlier on, so I do have a better idea of the details in your wreath. Your work is beautiful and I’m so excited to start putting ideas to paper. I love how you handled the holly plant in a previous video. Happy Holiday!

Thanks so much Susan, at the moment you’ll only be able to get the new botanical painting book. The other one is still being written to be out next October!

So beautifully delicate! I love the freshness of the colors -- they're vibrant but not garish, the way some autumn-themed colors can be. The flowers are a delightfully unexpected touch and will be fun to try in miniature.

Enjoyed this so much! Just found you and love your work- have a question - can your lens zoom in a bit closer when you are painting? Thanks!!

As a “rightee” I struggle to duplicate your motions. I always wish there’s was a better camera perspective, though I’m sure you’ve tried many. 🧐

Hi Glenda, yes we continue to work on this, the videos coming out this week have got more of a close up and a digital zoom where necessary but I think the best thing is practise and this will build your confidence. Before too long you will see my videos more as paint along inspiration and less something you need to follow stroke by stroke x
