You could tell by the mood of Andy on screen, he seemed to far more quick-tempered, easily annoyed and just seemingly in bad spirits. Those post-Barney years, were probably my least favorites.
Neither treatment is good. But I've never liked being yelled at. It didn't matter whether from family members, teachers, or someone else. On occasion I haven't liked when the preacher got a little loud. I'm probably more likely to use the silent treatment myself. Things definitely changed in the color years. Don Knotts and Aaron Ruben were gone. Some of the writers must have left too. Andy also quit smoking at some point. Too bad there was no one else to cool down any tension. What if an actor did well and for some reason Andy didn't make the phone call?
I think after the goofy episodes of Andy. He seemed to me to act like a womanizer. I never liked the episode where.they had the pretty blonde prisoner where Andy and Barney swooned over her as a prisoner. It seemed out of character for the family show. He and Don were googling over her. Watching her undress through silhouettte. It just didn't fit that family show to me.
Andy became more like himself - real life Andy Griffith after Don Knotts left. By the time the show was close to ending he was also grouchy because he was tired of the character Andy Taylor.

Probably because he knew how bad the show was after Don Knotts left. Pretty much unwatchable without him.
Andy must have had his moments. And the cast knew Andy missed Don Knott's because him and Don worked well together. Happy New year bob good video.
I think we’ve all worked under someone like that.
Great video. Happy New Year to all. Blessings to all 2025. Melanie
The more I watch the reruns I think he was a pain in the haha
Imagination is often worse than reality. I'd rather get the negative feedback and move forward instead of stewing about it for days.

Then there were some successful shows where the star created a healthy workplace culture. "MTM" comes to mind. They were like a family.
Andy did have his issues. Thanks Bob 😊 Happy New Year 😀
That is sad that George Lindsey did not like going to work, good video Bob.
He wasn't the same after Don left. His demeanor and the whole show changed completely. I'm not a huge fan of the color episodes.
Happy New Year!! Looking forward to another great year of shows! God bless you!!!
I heard that he didn't treat his coworkers very well and was mean to them that didn't sit too well with me
That might have fueled George’s heavy drinking n those days.
Due to.gomer leabing, goober got more face time by default
👍🏻
❤
Maybe he was moody because Aneta Corsaut kept turning down his marriage proposals. I'm sure Don Knotts had helped him thru that when he was there.
When your name is on the title of the show, you are responsible for the content and for the success of the other actors, crew erc.

Wow That's a really good point that I never though i've seen the show several times

Agree with your point.
