  • Do you have dandruff prone hair? If you do then do share what’s worked for you in the comments!
Personally I have not had to battle with dandruff too much so most of these recommendations are based on what has worked for my husband, who’s prone to dandruff and these tips, hacks and products have served him super well! I suggested these to him after a lot of research and have over time, have become an integral part of his routine.
1️⃣. I used the Nizral shampoo which I got from an Indian pharmacy for about Rs.320. You’ll get Nizoral in pharmacies worldwide. In case you can’t the exact brand, just ask for ketocanozole shampoos.
    Linked here - www.flipkart.com/nizral-dandr...
2️⃣. If you’re prone to dandruff, it’s important to know that it’s a relapsing condition, meaning it can come back. This is why, you’ll need to stick to a routine with consistency throughout.
3️⃣. There literally were no scalp exfoliants until a year or so ago but I’m so glad that’s not the case anymore. Deconstruct’s Anti Dandruff Serum comes with 2% salicylic acid that breaks down the dandruff scale gently. If you plan on using this, use it on a clean scalp, on towel dried hair post hair wash as a leave on.
    Linked here - bit.ly/3JXg17g
4️⃣. You cannot fix the hair without fixing the scalp so it’s so important to address the dandruff first and trust me, once you do, the hair will automatically turn to less brittle and less dry.
5️⃣. And lastly, avoid oils if you can, especially heavy ones like olive oil. If you really want to use an oil, try a tea tree oil a light weight jojoba oil. Use it on your hair lengths and avoid the scalp, and always apply on a clean, not a dirty scalp.
You may need prescription based drugs if OTC doesn’t work for dandruff.
Disclaimer - I’m not a dermatologist. This isn’t a replacement for medical advice. Please patch test and do your own research before use.

I suggested a facewash, sunscreen to a friend from tarini's videos and she mentioned both the products to her dermat, and the dermat literally said these are her top recommendations after her in house products.

I apply homemade oil ( coconut oil+curry leaves+henna) on lengths first and leave it for about 2 to 3 hours but just apply oil to scalp 10min before bath. This reduced my dandruff, dry hair issue. I'm guilty of using olive oil when i had dandruff and its the worst thing you can do for your scalp. Olive oil provides a perfect breeding environment for fungi and bacteria caused due to dandruff.
And yet the amount of videos you see on youtube that suggest using olive oil is insane

As a stylist of nearly a decade, I can share with you you, that you are not supposed to apply harsh hair shampoo on your hair.
I have noticed hairlines of so many people, and I noticed that people who were using strong shampoo cleansers generally had poor hairline.
So I recommend only to use gentle shampoo only. I personally use and suggest to use litttleextra coconioon shampoo only.
Also, do warm oil massage twice a week as it improves circulation and encourages healthy hair growth.

Hello! This helped me so much. I’ve had scalp issues and not treated them for 4 years other than dousing my head in coconut oil or castor oil. It makes so much sense hearing that makes it worse and that salicylic acid helps cause I’ve used a sample of the clean rinse from Sunday Riley and it felt wonderful. I didn’t know I had to continue treatment once cleared :( no wonder. I am quite impoverished and can’t afford much but could you advise how to keep my hair from being super dry from washing so much? I have curly blonde hair that’s dry and prone to breakage and it’s been breaking bad but I can’t get the products I need. What oil is okay for the hair/ scalp when you have dandruff? Thank you if you read this and for this video it means a lot knowing more about this condition I’ve struggled so long with

This is what I do for my hair growth: I begin my day with mild exercises. For breakfast, I have omelette, almonds, and idlis. When I come back from work, I gently massage my hair. At night, I apply a few drops of liitllexttra reactivaate serum to my hair. Just doing these steps has helped my hair grow nicely.

Your scalp will be like that because
      A) you are cutting down oil. If you eat chocolate everyday you will crave chocolate for fewdays and then back to normal. Stop using oil and give your scalp to get used to new routine
      B) You don't heard of conditioner. Conditioner keeps your hair , scalp moist enough and hydrated

    • @blusclus483

Please keep the mic or earphones a little away from mouth while speaking. It is little pinching to the ears, no offence

When i get dandruff i do this nd it literally works for me... I'm not even joking:
Step1: i use comb to gently scratch/rub the scalp...to get rid off that flaky skin
Step 2: i apply oil from root to tips... specially to moisturize the dry scalp and to dry ends of the hair....and massage the scalp
Step3: after leaving it for 2-3 hours i wash it with shampoo nd then conditioner nd serum
And ngl it really does wonders to my hair to get rid of that dandruff in just 1 or max. 2 washes.
Key to have dandruff free hair is to wash ur hair accordingly... don't get lazy. That's it👁️👁️
It works for me...i hope it works for everyone....and if it doesn't work for u (which is rare🙄) then it's not my problem 👀

it's working for you because you have dandruff caused by dry scalp most people have dandruff caused due to an allergic reaction to a fungus present on our scalp and the method you're recommending is absolutely shit for majority people

Girls, gather some courage and ditch all these. make a paste of amla ritha shikakai in boiling water, cool down, apply on scalp and roots. Scrub and rinse after 30 mins. In a month your hair will adjust to the routine. You wont need chemical shampoos , or conditioning. You would need to wash your hair only once a week. Your hair would not be weighed down by the end of the week. Dandruff will go away, scalp infections will go away. You don’t need any oils as the scalp will produce just enough sebum to keep your hair balanced.
Its been 3 years since I used any conditioners, shampoos or oils, no itchy scalp.

But some ppl have a condition called seborrheic dermatitis .This is a relapsing condition .Ketaconazole ,Piroctone Olamine,Zinc ,Pyrithione can only control this condition. This dandruff is actually shedding of skin on scalp due to an overgrowth of fungus called malessezia. furfur.

    I swear by Nizoral shampoo..
But use red bottle only if it's so intense... Otherwise blue version should be fine.
