It's like Threads, it was the platform where it felt all good and nice and no one argued for a month and then bam it's all the same stuff. You have the same issue with literally every single twitch and youtube competitor. These platforms do nothing more than create eco chambers for people.
Lets be honest, most people aren't interested in shedding tribal skins, in-group good guys vs. bad guys out-group, so it's just providing what is demanded in reality.

That right there shows me that it's not going to Survive .. it's just going to be like PARLER but for the other side ... People want to escape stress not add more .. this will not survive.
It's because you just looked at the Discovery Feed and not beyond. Discovery shows you what's popular and that may be politics. I'm just not interested in politics, so I don't have that feed on my BlueSky. I have followed feeds for my second language, feeds for photography, etc. and I have yet to see a political post.
@@NauiByeolEge you're probably right.. but what's popular tells you a lot about this platform.. the popularity is based on a dislike for Twitter vs a real organic appreciation for Blue sky..and that's just not sustainable..it's been done plenty and has failed... @@jzajzzit will outlive Twitter for sure.
@@jzajzzNaw. Bluesky is simply better. Smoother, and more customizable
I think it's just objectively better
A lot of the people leaving seem to be from the Tumblr crowd that flooded Twitter years ago.
good riddance.
A lot of those people were also artists as well since it was the porn ban that made them leave.
@@BlackfangDragonand let's not talk about the spike in CSAM content on the platform...
Competition is good for the market. Blue Sky can be a solid #2
People who call bluesky an exho chamber are never to be taken seriously
Bluesky has 20 million users 😁
As of this posting 21.4 million.
Enjoy it while it lasts.
We all know how this will end
remember threads have 100M users in week 😂 nobody uses it now same with bluesky i can 100% guarantee
20 million total registrations, but if look at their DAU numbers, there's only about 0.5 million daily active users, which means 98% of it's users sign up then leave.
@@watson1212 Well that is b/c people realize it's just IG for text. You are at the whims of the algorithm.

Final Cut Pro 11 can now isolate the subject from the back ground better than photoshop 👀 and thumbnails are now, maybe, easier to make in FCP 11
bare in mind, FCP 11 is doing 60fps in real time as it does this, whereas photoshop takes a second with a single photo
Meh they said same thing about Threads and Mastodon
you should go there too
Threads boomed at one point and now nobody uses it. Nobody actually wants a platform when you get banned for upsetting someone.
the automated rotoscope ability in Final Cut Pro 11 is insane ..i made myself black and white, keeping the background in full colour - and i honestly look green-screened in 🤯
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
Wow Truth Social for the left. 😂
LMAO. This is fuckin gold.
Only difference is that they went there because they can't stand to see opinions they don't like, whereas people fled to truth because they were banned for controversial opiniond.
Maybe they were just bots
Bluesky is really cool. Custom feeds are great.
I honestly do not care in bluesky is an echo chamber, i dont want to play a game of racist roulette every time i want to open a post on twitter.
Facebook is weird in 2024 because it sucks so much to use but is still the default communication tool in so many other countries. I used to live in Hanoi, Vietnam and Facebook was everything. Information about local businesses, big groups to find jobs, stuff about your local area, a way to meet people, it is used for so much more over there. And yet it is all just annoying ads now here in America.
This video seems old. Bluesky has over 22 million users now.
@03:40 Super high frequency echo-chamber creator, I believe people who moved to BlueSky actually left the echo-chamber.
its a joke. literally got flagged for respectfully disagreeing with someone there
Bluesky wouldn't want reckless drivers and wallpaper scammers like you!
I got the app and created my account in advance. I imagine a year from now it will be the norm.
I'm James McGilley living in Kansas City, Missouri. What is Bluesky and what's the difference between X and Bluesky?
Bluesky lets you read posts without logging in to the site. This is great.
Bluesky makes it easier to ignore certain people. I personally ignore all people that post politics (left and right)
Otherwise it is mostly the same..
The issue with this podcast is the assumed expectation that it would feature more of Marques' opinions on current tech news; instead, we get the opposite. He seems more vocal in his paid advertisements and meticulously scripted reviews or previews on MKBHD, likely to avoid offending sponsors. However, in a setting where one would anticipate him to speak more freely, he appears quite reserved.
You must be new to the WFRM podcast. It has never centered on Marques particularly
He's never really talked that much on these podcasts ever since they expanded it to 5 people.
I would like to hear more about his opinions
@@CaramelCraft why? Are his opinions more important, relevant or meaningful thank the 4 other hosts? There is a reason it's called the WVFRM Podcast not the Marques podcast
If the majority of influential people ie actors, athletes, musicians, politicians, social media personalities, writers etc move over there, a lot of people will follow
i caught one of your videos discussing bluesky and x. youtube recommended this video. i would highly recommend getting rid of your red border on your images because i thought i had already seen it. i had to backtrack to make sure. your red border matches youtube's red progress border
Tread lightly gentleman. I think social media discussions just for the sake of it doesn't really rise to the level of news worthiness from a tech perspective. And the reasons behind the news around these social media platforms crosses over into a discussion I think this channel needs to steer miles away from!
2:52 new jersey strong 💪🏼 and proud 4 life
I’ve heard Bluesky is adding users at 96,035 users per hour.
Great analysis of SM platforms fellas👍.
I remember when we were discussing Thread like this
wow so Jack Dorsey does it again with another social media platform? Everyone hates on him but he has been right about a ton of trends.
He's out of Bluesky for quite a while now, he left because he didn't agree with the direction the owners wanted to take it
Jack Dorsey stopped supporting Bluesky and is now supporting the development of the nostr protocol.
Bluesky is not going to be a thing lol smh. its just woke twitter. no copycat ever became a big thing. threads won't get big either.
jack quit bluesky and told people to use x
Probably because he didn't want the FBI had direct censorship control, but someone (a VP of truth and safety) in between the FBI and the controls, while the owners want to give the FBI direct access.
I just got blue sky up and running after forgetting to see about the invite thing. I will mess around with it for a bit. I am definitely getting off twitter. Especially with Elon completely joining the government. I don’t want to be super spied on there.
Its so much better
Better than what the devil? Pretty low bar
People isolating themselves further in echo chambers. They learned nothing. Bluesky will be as popular as Threads. 😂
Anything where you pick who you subscribe to will be echo-chamber-y, but the difference is, nobody wants the echos amplified by an algorithm or even a person in charge.
many of them will be back in a few weeks. eventually, the temper tantrums will subside.

Twitter is the largest echo chamber I've ever seen

Yawn. Blue sky is adding fore the moment. Sustainable? Maybe. Let’s see where it is in 6 months.
Just ike the old twitter. People seem to forget.. elon litearlly saved twitter.. twitter was going bankrupt.. was most likely going to shutdown later that year.

If only you folks wouldn't overuse this joke. It's not even funny anymore
Blue sky is exactly like truth social. It’s an echo chamber for one side of the political spectrum
The difference is, the algorithm is not directly controlled by a right wing CEO
No, it's not like Truth Social at all. Truth Social is a place where conspiracy theories thrive.
I block all political posters on Bluesky (left and right). And now i have social media without American politics. That works for me.
And the other side of the political spectrum (Right Wing Media) dominates everywhere because the billionaires own the cable and SM and now the government.
It's funny how these hosts try (and succeed) to speak and sound like MKBHD. Same intonation, same flow, etc...
I love how people genuinely think the old version of twitter was a good platform. Twitter has always been a hell hole. No one has actually liked using the platform unless you were arguing with someone. Nothing good ever came from the platform. All the people going to bluesky are simply a load of people who want to have a whole platform that'll just be an eco chamber and fail.
Just visited Bluesky. 20 seconds in and I already feel like throwing up due to the staggering amount of leftist content on the front page.
lol…. But the right wing stuff on Twitter is ok? So obviously Twitter is made for you
Well, unfortunately X turned pretty damn toxic. If you have differing views, maybe you can provide them in a thoughtful and respectful manner on Bluesky.
I can only imagine this happening because Twitter has finally become that intolerable. It's definitely doesn't feel like millions moving over, but around 10 of my twitter follows have moved over to Bluesky in the last couple of weeks and I noticed... but only because it seems like one or two moved over in the last few months before.
The community on Bluesky is still pretty ass, but the mass exodus has meant a couple funny people moved over at least. The rest of the site is cringy tumblr-esque echo chamber shit, and that's coming from someone who mostly agrees with their politics.
imagine agreeing with liberal politics smh
@@asdfxcvbn746 I don’t agree with liberal views, I understand people who do, but I don’t understand people who vote for Biden or Kamala over Trump
@@Wolflink789 im confused by what you just said lol
I don’t use twitter and blue sky but did go on blue sky to check it out, and you stand corrected. It’s an echo chamber, but hey that’s sorta to be expected when the people that’s making the switch over are all politically aligned. You gotta understand that conflict on twitter and clashing insults is what carries twitter.
Sure conflict of ideas or harassment ain’t what the new users of blue sky want, but it sure is for everyone else when wants to entertain themselves. Threads failed and I don’t see blue sky succeeding either when there’s basically only one demographic on there either.
let’s not pretend that twitter isn’t a right wing echo chamber lmao 😂
Bluesky will not beat or bring serious competition to X
Well, when Twitter will be an even bigger shi, thole, everybody over Twitter can enjoy it, the others will be gone.

@dang3304 are you being censored on Truth social?
I have the same thing in X now as David mentioned. I have a separate list which I want to know and I do only go over those tweets and if I recognise a tweet which I might have seen earlier, will stop there.
