Been a fan and user of vintage mid-1980s Ibanez guitars but never have I purchased a new guitar - until yesterday, when I bought one of these AZ2204N guitars.
I've bought an AZ last year (a Premium model), and I love it. Very versatile instrument, suuuuuuuuper comfortable neck, great trem system, Ibanez knocked it out of the park with this range of guitars.
got my AZ premium a week ago...blown away, the best guitar Ibanez made in years, feels so straty, tele, and also great for rock and soloing, great job by ibanez
This video inspired me to get back into guitar and grind it out so I can maybe be 5% as good as Jack! I literally just bought the exact same Ibanez AZ2204B and a few of Jack's courses and presets. Thanks for the inspiration!

Owned an AZ224 for a little while. Ultimately it wasn't quite for me, but that neck is still the absolute best neck I've ever played. The craftsmanship, the profile, the roasted maple and the stainless steel frets just made it incredibly comfortable.
Your joy at playing this AZ is wonderful. You should be on commission - after watching the video I ordered one, I hope it gives me that same feeling! Great video, thank you, I really appreciated hearing it at 04:20 with the delay off. You have amazing skills!

I have the exact guitar and Absolutely Love it! Its the best guitar I have ever played. Pick ups are fantastic and the neck is smooth! Actually went to the shop to try out the new Fender Ultra and walked away with this, hands down more modern and for me, exciting to play. Enjoy!

I have the prestige Az too in Scarlett red. Absolutely love it! Love the dyna-mix 9 switching system; especially the function of being able to switch the single coil in the neck to a humbucker with a flick of a switch.

Fantastic playing. Love this video. I got one of these last week and was stunned as to how compact it is. Slightly smaller than a regular Fender Strat and in keeping with the Ibanez 'small body 'tradition, but far less pointy LOL. The neck takes some getting used to and I mistook it for a 15 " radius because it is really FLAT ..but was surprised to note it starts off as a 9" and increases to a 12" radius up the neck. But after half hour my hands got used to it. And I'm still working out how many sounds can be found on it. Personally, I like the pickup options that incorporate the humbucker(s) since I play mostly jazz fusion or Blues. The other single coil choices show a considerable drop in volume. Thank you again!
I have never been a fan of the sound of the Strandberg, except in your hands... And this Ibanez with his Neck Pickup offers you new horizons of inspiration!
Congrats on the new guitar Jack! I've been able to buy one of the first AZ2204-ICM models and am still blown away by the quality, workmanship and overall "feelinggoodness" of the instrument. The japanese made AZ guitars are the best production model guitars of about any brand available right now, IMHO. Also, your playing gives me the chills everytime, even if you call it nonsense - the flawless delivery makes it something special anyways. Thanks for that, dude! :-)
Sounds incredible. Been an Ibanez player for years now and personally believe they have the best overall sound of any guitar brand. Just can’t beat them on sound,quality,or price.
I like Ibanez mid to high end stuff but I think it’s ironic that Paul Reed Smith makes John Mayer new signature Silver Sky Strat and the world temporarily goes mad but eventually loves it but Ibanez makes a Strat and everyone either doesn’t notice it or is in love. But I digress. Great guitar, great playing and sound.

Awesome demo. Yeah I have the same model but in gold. They are pretty great. With the pickup selections and coil tap, you have got alot of time options. I play this in a Mark V combo and man theres alot of knob twiddling fun.
I'm itching for one of the AZ Ibanez's, but I can't justify getting it, other than "I love Ibanez". I'm still filled with regret that I didn't wait a few months more when getting my first Suhr. I just didn't expect Ibanez to make their version of Suhr! ;D This one would look even better with gold hardware!

I have got the first one you've played back in 2018, the AZ2204f-tab ! It's a heavenly made guitar, the quality build is just perfect and the pickup configuration and the switching can make you play any genre One thing that I would mention which kinda disappointed me are the tuners, not that easy to use for string changing and sometimes it gets out of tune easily which is not something you see often in high-end guitars on that price range Conclusion : I'm satisfied and I recommend it in a heartbeat

I've tried a couple Strandberg's and love the neck and ergonomics, and the classic would be fun for doing pickup swaps and experiments. I've enjoyed listening to your tasty playing on your classic! Your control over every note you play is astonishing. How did you get you finger strength to be what it is today? Do you have any finger exercises that you noticed helped a lot more than others?
Jack you make anything sound amazing! Very cool guitar though. Deal breaker for me on these AZ's is the 42mm nut width. I favour a 43mm nut such as you'd find on a similar spec'd Charvel.
I have to admit: This would be my dream guitar. SpecsWise as well as designWise. BUT I´m a 24 frets guy. And sadly I just stumbled upon the "22" days after I´ve discovered this model (and therefore already dreamed of it). ....
There is a 24 fret version of this, its almost the same just with 2 humbuckers, but the miniswitch enables coilsplitting and both guitars basically have the same switching options. Try it out! (I own the 22 fret one in blue, best guitar ive ever owned)
