    I don't know why people are comparing this vehicle with XUV 500, innova,or fortuner. It is like comparing apples with oranges. It should be compared with other crossover SUVs like Yeti, CRV or X trail or koleos. I agree that it is pricey because of excise taxes. It should also be remembered that it earned a top safety pick in IIHs crash safety rankings. Is it not ironical that the models which are hit abroad are flop here and vice versa?

      Well all the cars you've mentioned are pretty much a failure abroad. Except well the crv. And honestly I'm pleased that the Indian market has got the Tucson finally. Oh yea msging you from abroad.

    Hyundai has provided sun roof and ventitated seats in Elantra so why not in Tuscon, thought being Tuscon priced higher than Elantra.

    It's a competitor to Honda CR-V and Skoda Yeti. Fortuner and Endeavour is just another segment not comparable to this car.

    • @ponygt6629
      @ponygt6629 7 лет назад

      Price wise they easily compare to one another and thats when he Ford has the edge

    • @chinmaygupta29
      @chinmaygupta29 7 лет назад

      But don't you think that these are two completely different cars attracting two different kinds of customers?

    • @ponygt6629
      @ponygt6629 7 лет назад

      Chinmay Gupta
      Of course, but one can always get more value depending on taste right,
      The Endeavor 2.2 4X2 AT is easily a better choice than Tucson,
      The new Fortuner is too over priced

    • @chinmaygupta29
      @chinmaygupta29 7 лет назад

      Ponygt 662 Exactly. 'depending on taste'. So why compare these?

    • @ponygt6629
      @ponygt6629 7 лет назад

      Chinmay Gupta
      Because when something gets priced too ambitiously and when the Endeavor can manage all kinds of customers taste the Endeavor feels like better value and is well worth a cross shopping

    1) taillamps spoil the whole look
    same in i20
    same in Santa Fe
    same in this
    2)low ground clearance
    3)no gud music system
    4)day time running lights must be integrated to main headlamp
    5)no sunroof
    6) 24 lacs on road still no 4*4 so no use of such
    7) lower sitting position gives u hatch like feel not like 24 lac worth suv

    • @Josu.99
      @Josu.99 7 лет назад +3

    How soon is Hyundai expected to launch the AWD version??? will it include sunroof & & ventilated seats in the future versions?? No sun roof is still OK but why would u not give it ventilated seats whc we so badly need in India sply after sun protection films being illegal. ( Some one should seriously take up the issue of sun protection films ). Hyundai already has tht technology since its already available in Elantra :(
    Thnks for a nice review.. Keep up the good work.

  • @kaihtheloner
    @kaihtheloner 7 лет назад +45

    Hyundai cut so many corners and reduced a heck ton of features for the Indian spec model of the Tucson. In the UAE, the Tucson can be had for around 14 Lakhs with most of the bells and whistles. Here in India, the top model goes over 30 Lakh OTR. No soft touch plastics, no 180 degree panoramic sunroof, no ventilated seats for the searing hot Indian summers and the list goes on and on. Hyundai priced it too high imho.
    Btw yes, I know it's a CKD but guys it's not a CBU that attracts 100% tax okay? Hyundai is just being greedy with this. And fine, they can ask for 30+ Lakh OTR but why remove essential features?

    • @ajmalsalim5023

      kaihtheloner One word: Tax

    • @kaihtheloner
      @kaihtheloner 7 лет назад +3

      Ajmal Salim So they cut the features because of Tax? That's the most asinine reason ever. Tax made the car's price jump another 100%? Also please note it's not a CBU but rather a CKD so the 100% import duty isn't gonna be imposed on this car.

    • @rockytruelyrox
      @rockytruelyrox 7 лет назад +3

      kaihtheloner doubt the guy understands CBU and CKD concept. wait for it though, might make a stupid comeback after some Google.

      @jaigoldberg 7 лет назад

      Yes sir you're correct. I think Tucson is way over priced. Creta still is a better option coz tbh the extra power is of no use in city unless you're 90 % on the highways. Atleast 4X4 should have been there to do justice to this car. Disappointed by Hyundai this time !

    The top end petrol misses out on LED headlamps, LED taillamps, powered tailgate, electronic parking brake, ESC,VSM, hill hold and hill descent and still costs 26.5 lakhs on road Chennai. It's a real shame that only the diesel top end gets all these features.
