- Saving the earth can begin in our own backyard by simply identifying and removing invasive plants.
Jacob is a junior at Groton-Dunstable Regional High School and is a member of the cross country and track and field teams. Outside of school, Jacob enjoys hiking, fishing, and photography. Over the past couple years, he has gained a passion for addressing the problem of environmental sustainability. In 2015, he attended the Global Student Leaders Summit in Costa Rica, and is an active member in his school’s Environmental Club. Jacob is currently working with his fellow club members to refine the recycling system at his school and reduce waste.

Removing exotic invader species is really doing good for Mother Nature. Thanks!

Great Job! Keep up Sir. We have no other planet Earth
Bravo, glad to hear some young voices....I expect this will be a huge industry when people get excited about this...ie...too late:/
(I am known as the crazy old lady with the hat and the machete, lol)
This is such a crucial issue
So many slides we don't get to see...
I really enjoyed this. I'd love to learn more and how to help get involved
What are the most popular invasive species in Andharapradesh
There is no such thing as an invasive species.
Yes there is, they destroy ecosystems and create environmental problems
Where I live we have large amounts of Lepidium draba, a Brassica that is inedible to all herbivores. It's not native here, and no mites or fungi have ever evolved to prefer it so it runs rampant and is choking out large amounts of flora that DID evolve here and are crucial to local fauna. Yes, plants do travel on their own and naturally cause this to happen and the ecosystem will balance itself over time but that balancing act can cause extinctions of plants that are already losing their habitat, and we're speeding up every aspect of that cycle.
