God never intended for us to monopolize feeding people. We need to get back to everyone growing growiwn food and trading with neighbors. Monoculture ag is so destructive.

What you are looking for may be the 'Dehesa' (AKA Montado) agrosylvopastoral systems of Southern Spain and Portugal.

Gardening and farming are not different things to me one is just on a larger scale
our culture based on this kind of practice. but the globalization destroyed all of that..
