Hey Brad, while you're on the subject of design I just want to compliment you on the features of Jackson Audio Pedals. I own a Golden Boy and Prism and think that you've truly straddled the divide between innovation, simplicity and ease of use, this coupled with the incredible sounds and tones from each pedal is proof that you guys are leading the way. Thank you for your great work, it's really appreciated. Long many you run.
I'm saving hard to pick up the Fuzz next..! Cheers

I dig the midi enabled stuff, I bought a Broken Arrow v2 just for this. Only downside is it doesn't have PC messages / presets. Other than that it's pretty swell.

Something I would like to see is a new Bloom V3!! I love my V2, but there are two things that I miss. And I've heard several players say this. 1. It would be nice to have a way to control the amount of both compression and volume in a memory or program sort of mode. That way when you step through different attack settings (especially via midi) you wouldn't have to deal with having to adjust compression/volume levels manually. 2. Maybe an internal attack control setting of your choice. Sometimes I find it easy to fall right in the crack between the choices available. Other players have expressed this to me as well. Just thoughts. Not sure how feasible they are. I love the Bloom so I'm all up for any advancements that can be made! Thanks for the great products, Brad!!!

That's a cool idea but a massive rewrite of the BLOOM. Not saying it's not possible, but that's huge for sure.

Hi Brad! I’m a user of your Golden Boy pedal, I think it’s amazing! The gain cycling is great and the MIDI features are even better. I understand that you looked after simplicity in your fuzz, but I think that some additional features such as being able to turn the fuzz and octave on and off through MIDI would really set you apart from the competence, even more than the modularity of the circuit. Imagine also you could just change the setting between having a Fuzz setting for brightening your cleans and another for maximum gain and volume, all MIDI switchable. Besides MIDI implementation would be nice so it could be controlled through MIDI without a loop switcher. Keep on the great work and congrats!

I love that the fuzz pedal Is more simple because it's friendly,
But some players love Jackson audio for the complexity in some pedals,
Well, if you could figure out how to put the different circuits in the fuzz, without the potential issues, maybe similar to how the drive pedals have different clipping options, then yeah you could add MIDI control as a version 2
If you were prototyping it then that just means there was a fun idea in the works
I've struggled with my MIDI board and the fuzz being not MIDI,
I have Jackson audio all over my board,
My bloom, new wave, and broken arrow have MIDI, but my prism and Fuzz don't.. And that leaves me with two pedals I can't access with my MIDI controller,
I'm one of the types of players who prefers my gain stages in my controller so all my gain options are in one singular six-button pedal, (a second bank for wet effects)
You could always release a "V2" fuzz pedal that has those midi compatible functions, it would cost more than three v1 but people also wouldnt have to swap circuits
And you can always do a v3 for a second route of expanding the first model...

Hey just got the Fuzz, love it. I’ve been hunting for Grady Martins Fuzz tone. I’m obsessed with finding something that replicates that busted Langevin preamp sound. Any chance you have plans to create a module for something like that? Or possibly would you consider doing one off if it isn’t worth putting in production?

I have it and love the pedal. I have the Classic Modern fuzz installed and use the octave side as a boost. When I hit the Fuzzface with the boost it gets into ToneBender territory. Loving the pedal but wish I could have two fuzz modules installed.

Hey friends, do you ever plan on releasing a reverb or modulation pedal?
I love how clean sounding and versatile your pedals are (I own the Prism and Golden Boy) and the enclosure size; a few style options with midi integration, I think you’d have some winners on your hands.

    • @michaelthimes
      @michaelthimes 3 года назад

@@JacksonAudio the superfuzz octave is more subtle compared to a Foxx tone machine which is why I think it will fit your existing design better. the user experience should be more "mild octave" and "pronounced octave" with the separate octave circuit. and not to push you over the edge - BUT - the superfuzz circuit tends to need EQ to achieve the wide variety of sounds it's known to produce. the way you've implemented the mids and mid frequency in the pedal already should fit the superfuzz tone circuit function very well. Your version will need to be tweaked to a little since the tone circuit will be omitted in your version in favor of the 3 band EQ - but that's a simple endeavor. Make it so and you'll add a gnarly flavor to your modules.

This is the pedal I was anticipating the most. I would have definitely paid more for this than the asabi. I'm sure other people would have been on board with me. I told myself, "I don't care how much it is, I'm getting it." As long as it is on par with the price of the asabi, then it doesn't really matter if it costs more to add midi. It would also benefit from gain staging. Either way, still a great pedal and I'll definitely pick one up. It'll ruin fuzz pedals for me.

My Bloom, Broken Arrow, and Asabi, solo boost, modulation, and delay are all controlled by a Morningstar FX MC3. I'm going to guess that then you would be limited to only ordering it as a custom shop build straight from Jackson Audio. Otherwise, it would make it hard on dealer sales. They would have to carry extra modules on hand to swap out. A total pain. It would be like carrying a choice of optional maple or rosewood fretboard guitar necks in stock for the new Fender Strat you want to buy. It's not really feasible. But, that being said, it would be cool if Jackson Audio would make custom ordering an option for purchasing on their website.

@@dinostrunkguitarist I don't know if that would be feasible either. It's not the same as getting a limited edition enclosure or something like that which you can easily sort out. It's an internal circuit. It would probably be a massive headache. One thing I could see happening is a limited edition enclosure that comes with a different module than usual. Or I could see there being a sale one day where they sell the pedal + 1 extra module at a discount.
