My first fire engine ever to learn on was a 90 pierce dash. Same motor you could be on scene in our other engine. Saying where's our 2nd in, then hear it screaming down the street lol like it's coming boys. Man best sounding diesel ever!! That sound brought back alot of good memories
Cool!😂👍 i am a used truck dealer in norway🇳🇴 i have own over 200 scania’s. funny to watch these american trucks. none of these here in Norway. Keep up the good work Bruce!!!
@ no none. Only scania, volvo, mercedes, daf and man. But scanian is clearly the largest here. Nr 2 is volvo, but all is cabovers! Its maybe 5-10 american trucks somewhere here but you never se them. Only showtruck without plates.
Keep it and restore it to original specs. Have to admit, I didn't used to watch your channel, but it has really come a long way and really enjoy watching all your videos now. Keep up the great work!!
That piece with the needle point on the air filter is for an ether capsule back in the day you would place the capsule in there close the lid the needle would pop the capsule theres your ether
Really cool truck. It is something with starting up an old truck that has been left to rotting away and let it drive again. Almost that you could see that the truck couldn’t believe it was true. 😅 Nice work.
The beautiful music of the Screamin’ Detroit, which I call the ol’ stroker, is music that takes me straight back to my boyhood days in the late ‘90s when my dad owned a white in color GMC Brigadier with a V6 Detroit. The last Screamin’ Detroit powered truck my dad owned was probably from the ‘80s, and that was an International Harvester TranStar cabover that Mike Young, my dad’s driver at the time, rolled over onto the guard rail. The rig was subsequently sold and given a new lease on life as a wrecker.
I get that the new one isnt good, but let him learn ... Nobody is a master at something without doing it and Ryan filmed for years and i guess his first videos wasnt greatly filmed either so u should give the new one a break and atleast let him learn before u bash him..
Daaaaam that ole Detroit sounded good. Sounds like the Maximum Overdrive truck.. Always loved the Generals. My mentor had one and loved going with him when I was little and then after I got my license me driving it.
SOMETHING COOL I LEARNED ABOUT DETROITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!8V92 is a code. Amount of cylinders, configuration of cylinders and c.i of each cylinder. 8V92 = 8 cylinders, V configuration and 92 c.i per cylinder. If you know you know and if you don’t now you do.
I love detroits but theres nothing special about an 8v92TA. Now, if you would have said 12v71, thats the rare, special motor to look for. 475-550hp back in the day. Keep an eye out for one of those because whatever truck its in, will be "special" somehow on the build sheet. Only the biggest of the big dogs got the motor back in the day
Ooh love this video! I know you been doing a lot of scania content but imagine finding an us spec scania and doing a will it start? Keep the good work tho!
Don't cut the roof off.. the last gmc video cracker box you did. Yall have no idea how collectable an old general would be to own... I'd give ya 10g for it down here in Australia.. we never got the general what a shame.
Thank you Austin for being on the video and God bless you

Really? No Freightliner, Peterbilt, or Kenworth ?
@ no none. Only scania, volvo, mercedes, daf and man. But scanian is clearly the largest here. Nr 2 is volvo, but all is cabovers!

@@fossn Strange to think about. Saw the trucks on your channel now.looks good! Only much less wheelbase than here…
Ain't nothing funny bout American trucks
Thanks for bringing her back to life. I am sure my grandpa was laughing the whole time looking down from above.
Keep it and restore it to original specs.
Have to admit, I didn't used to watch your channel, but it has really come a long way and really enjoy watching all your videos now. Keep up the great work!!

That’s cool!
I’m always amazed how these old semi trucks always start up on old fuel and just sitting for years 😎
It’s pretty amazing what these old engines can do.
Really cool truck. It is something with starting up an old truck that has been left to rotting away and let it drive again. Almost that you could see that the truck couldn’t believe it was true. 😅 Nice work.

Ryan was such a great camera man we need someone like that ugh

Bring it down to Ocala ! Its right up my alley
Get a coolant specific gravity checker for the Concentration status of the Prestone. Just "green" isn't enough. 😂 10:21
Good people over at ol 2stroker you tube, thank you for saving the old girl

It's a 440 Detroit I used to drive one just like it separate had a sleeper on mine😊
You have view here in the Netherlands. And you see them rarely on Oldtimer shows here.
Put a little fresh diesel for getting started out. Dilute the red dye...😊
Cool old gmc. Don’t see many of those anymore.
Bur seriously tho, great video. The ol will it start and engine torture tests vid-ja's is what got me into watching yens.
Glad you enjoy the videos!

Give that truck to KnightRiderHistorians for their KnightRider General project.
The fittings are probably NPT national pipe tapered, and use dope or tape! 10:21
We made it work to get it home
The general is a diamond in the rough along with the Chevy bison.
More "will it starts" please Bruce
Hey Austin!! Aka Halfway
You are my favorite
Bruce We all get lucky sometimes .
Nice truck
Thanks 👍
2:26 did anyone else lose audio here for around 15 to 20 seconds?
Fixing it now
Who cares, some seconds… He dont do or say something important right there…
Tape off the mystery battery leads! Might be for charging.... 4:49
It was not connected
Cool truck. How do people just let these start melting into the ground?
People don’t like letting things go
Yup more 911 Rescue Bruce !
Just restore that old timer and have some fun.
Air tanks are standard, call truck parts and NAPA Store for replacement tanks. And extra starting fluid!
Only at Napa with heavy duty parts
What are uou going to do with the General?
Wait and see
Awesome bruce
Appreciate it!

Bruce explained it in the video after my first comment was layed out. Bruce knows what’s up

You fancy some high sulphur diesel fuel? Come here to my country. We have diesel fuel with Cetane Rating of 48 and 2500 ppm sulphur content. 😂
Get it back and see how much power you can get out of it
Bruce will u restore the GMC??
3rd time the charm?

You're right, those 12V71s are the best!
@Bruce_Wilson those 8v92s always seem to crank on the first half a revolution no matter how long they sit. You found yourself a good one
8v92TT Turborcharged and blower. 435 hp
Should show to FSC Steve he's got a v12 Detroit and he can put it in that
8v92 is a 12L
FINALLY NoT A FCKIN SCANIA VIDEO😂
You'd wish you owned a Scania
Not interested in foreign junk!!!!
Imagine a flag mobile truck from knight rider.

So is it a old video ?? U said home in Florida
Nope, just visiting
The racks are "" always frozen""
