I like to see a episode with you guys and Mike Finnegan. I would like to see the reaction between that and his jet boat. I think it would be a wow factor for both parties.
Will Finn come out? He's very open to a bunch of cool people and stuff, he just might.... Hey Bro if your reading this, try to fit it in. Be a regular guy like us all out here, John, from Indiana.
Hell yes
This or cleetus!
That would be pretty cool, Roadkill used to be my favorite RUclips show before they took it to motor trend only. But yeah Finn seems like a pretty cool dude.
Holler at him jetskibros
This proves that everything in this world gets better if you put a V8 in it!
it doesn't

so can you. Electric is far superior performance!!

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!! That is sick! I want one!
I can’t believe you fit that thing in there and with a turbo, holy moly!
Nice build! Looks like it could use more impeller though, that 6.0L isn't even working hard yet and it's revving out too quick.
With the amount of torque that 6.0L makes with the quick spool of that turbo it's gonna be scary fast with a taller impeller lol
I don’t know if the hill could take it

That incredible. Sounds amazing.
Nice!! I built mine back in 2004!! 155mph is something everyone should experience on one of these.
I just binge watched the whole V8 playlist from start to now in a week. What a journey! Awesome build! Keep it up boys!
Nice teleportation device! :O
Been here since the begging of the channel and watching this build over the last few years. Brings a tear to my eye seeing that bad boy absolutely SCOOTING across the water 😢🍻🍻🍻
I think you meant *this* tear emoji, right? 🥲
Thanks for staying with us over the years. We appreciate you and everyone else who has been here since way back. 🍻🍻👍

It just keeps getting better and better! What an awesome job you have done! That thing sounds bad to the bone! And it’s pretty awesome that Liz enjoys being getting involved in the build too! You guys have one awesome crew and your kids are so adorable! You guys rock! Keep up the good work! 🤘🏻
Thanks a buddy! I keep being surprised at how much Lizz likes working on the skis. Pleased of course but surprised. I am kind of biased but I also think the kids are pretty great, makes me happy to see how much they like trying to help we work on the skis. We are going to do our best to keep things moving in the right direction. 👍🍻

you hit the nail on the head couldnt of sid the comment better
That thing has 3 speeds! Here, there and GONE ! THAT'S THE COOLEST THING IVE SEE !!
that's legitimately terrifying. If it was my build I would lengthen it so I could sit down competely in front of the motor on a longer more stable frame. I have immense respect for this guy doing these speeds on top of that crazy watercraft
It only takes a little getting used to.
@@sforza209 I nearly flipped a base model BRP so no ahhaha
I wonder if Cleetus has seen this yet. I expect we'll see him with one soon. Looks and sounds insane!
He's got a bunch of big blocks and turbos to play with.... I'd watch the sh*t out of that

That is absolutely the most insane jetski I've ever seen. 👍👍🇺🇲
Man, what a beast ! 😮 Sounds tough 😊 I can't stop listening to the sweet engine
That thing really pushes some water! Love the turbski!!
Holy crap that thing is insane. This build has been so much fun to watch. I want to watch you guys take this to a lake event just to see people's reactions lol
It’s so weird hearing the engine then seeing it a ski not a boat!! My brain hurts!! Lol
Absolutely awesome guys, very very freakin kool
I give yall credit for stoping checking the tune and changing springs. If that were me I'd be 100 full throttle within 4 min of riding it😂
Break it in how shes gonna run rite lol!
@@dangobin1592NOT with a shit tune you don't want to be....
Checking it IS what a wise man would do
idk if you ever mentioned it but just incase you haven't id definitely be looking into some protection for the under side of the seat above the intake. if a valve goes and shoots thru the intake its coming your way thru that seat. now again you may have that covered already I don't really know. just a thought. Looks like its going to absolutely rip, glad its finally gotten to this point!
I'm in love. Haven't rode in about 12yrs. but NOW want to do it again.
Hold my beer! Someone needs to get this man a wheel barrow to carry his balls around in!!
Sweet build man!!
When I lived in Las Vegas I had a 16' 2 seater with a supercharged 454 w/prop drive, it was so nice to get out on Lake Mead about 5:30 am and head out across the lake, it was just like glass. That was back in the late 70s, I loved it, and miss it. I'm thinking about a jet ski with a blown Vette engine after seeing this video, that's sure one nice jet ski.
Awesome content. To me it sounds like it's going straight to high rpms when you go wide open throttle. I would see if there is a way to put a bigger impeller in the pump to drag the rpms down and find a way to trim the pump up to keep the nose of the ski out of the water. But still awesome to see a turbo 6.0 in a jet ski
You caught what I saw there is definitely a putting power to impeller issues still impressive maybe a. Prop to accentuate the ket
That was a lot to take in... You did a good job of documenting what I know was a long and brutal process or testing, diagnosing, tuning, fixing, testing... etc. It's crazy to see it in a video and be able to tell that it's quick "the throttle is connected to speed" seems like the perfect description. I get that it must be nerve racking every time it's on the water, but it must also feel good to ride it.
It looks amazing, sounds amazing and it's overall just really bad ass ! Keep it up !!
Joel you hit the nail right on the head, its a lot for me to take in even, and 100% the time and effort put in to testing tuning and fixing is far beyond what I could convey in a short entertaining video. I really try to respect my audiences time which translates to making really dense fast paced videos. I know that some people like a more laid back video style but in my opinion people a trending towards fast paced entertainment, every second counts type content. But again I know sometimes people watch stuff to relax and unwind, maybe my videos are relaxing for some people. but probly not. My thought is that my core audience prefers the fast pace style video. Its funny now when I edit the videos I think how can I tell the story in an enjoyable way and respect my audiences time. It's my way of saying to the audience that I appreciate them and am grateful for the time they spend watching my videos, and I have no desire to treat them like an analytical number in the algorithm. Anyway mini rant over haha. And yes its nerve racking to ride, more so the I hope it doesn't break this time side of things haha. Feels amazing to ride, the turbo really woke this thing up. Thanks Joel, appreciate you buddy 👍🍻
@@JetSkiBrothers For sure. The hardest part is telling the story without so much that people can't watch it.
There's a lot to it. Our content is our product... and how we package and present it is our editing... So, at least to some extent, what our product is depends on how it should be sold, and our audience isn't necessarily only interested in one product.... You sometimes do this probably without thinking about it too much, but if you have a very interesting bit like the new turbo... you don't necessarily have to be all wiz bang when showing it... you catch peoples attention and they want to know more in a more relaxed way... but then when you're riding out on the water, it needs to keep changing / keep thrilling .
I mean... I obviously don't have it all figured out, haha.
@@JoelArseneaultRUclipsit’s weird, talking with you about this helped me realize what I am doing with my editing. I knew that something changed editing wise this year but I couldn’t quite verbalize it until you sparked the conversation. So thanks, sometimes knowing is half the battle. Any way to more finely say what it is that I am doing, I would say the viewers are like my customers the currency is time. Or more accurately their time watching the videos. And what I attempting to accomplish with the editing is giving the audience/customer good value for their time/currency. Thus attempting to convey to them that I value their time spent watching the videos. in putting such high value on their time it is intended to convey the value of them as individuals. And all in a very abstract/subconscious sort of way. 😂 man it seems complicated no matter what way I look at it. 😂😂 but either way thanks for helping me figure that out. Although I’m sure you didn’t intentionally do it but rather you have passively nudged me into this realization 👍🍻
@@JetSkiBrothers Lol... yeah... You don't realize how complicated this stuff is until you start trying to explain it... It's usually just "I make RUclips videos..." I'm glad I helped in some way 👍👍
That is a manly sounding beast! That’s sick! Thanks for the share.
The belt squeal on the first start up let us all know that this is a real engine and a real person making this.
I’ve been on this earth for 40yrs, that’s the coolest jet ski I’ve ever seen by far!
Awesome build! You should use the 160mm pump from the 2022 yamaha GP1800. I will bolt right up and will help the cavitation big time!
Thanks for the tip! Is 2022 the year they switched to the pump where the vein section and the wear ring are one piece?
2014 is when they switched to the 8 vein pump and 160mm prop. If you choose to use the new 2022 style you will have to change the transom also. The 6 vein pump was bad for the veins chipping like yours did. It’s from cavitation burn. With the horse power your putting out you definitely need a 160mm prop and some more pitch in it. Will help control rpm’s also by the pitch
Great perseverance and dedication to that project. It was inspiring to see you figure that at all and to stick with it. Keep up the good work!
Be watching the development of this project for quite a while and boy oh boy that ski turned out awesome 👏
That is scarier than a top fuel dragster!!
That is one F’d up beast. I would love one
This is a beast of a Ski. Top build on the internet right now! Congrats Guys.
This project turned out awesome! Love the ingenuity! I’ve been watching for over 2 years when you guys first started the V8 project.
Awesome! Thank you!
What an awesome ski man - looks like a blast !!!
I love the subtleness of the body. NO DECALS! Make it a "sleeper", like Mike Tyson's ring garb.
It’s great to see the wave blaster back that. Second best pwc ever built.
I love having a shop..ingenuity creativity imagination at its best...
Loooks and sounds awesome !!! You should wear a darth Vader costume when driving that machine 😂. It just looks sooooo sinister !!!! love that you show all the Little things that go with tuning a project like this. No one would even imagine the time spent trying to get things figured out unless you show us like you do. This gives everyone a better idea of how much work you not only put into working on the boat but also editing the videos 😊 when you take the seat off it just looks like it came factory that way. Such a great job fitting everything in all nice and neat looking. LoVED the video. Can’t wait to see more !!! Great job as always 😊
Thank you. I get what you’re saying about the Vader costume, because now the ski is blacked out and sinister just like Vader 👌😂 I’m thinking once we get the kinks sorted out this thing is going to fly 👌🍻
Gotta love that marsh land. Harpeth Shoals in TN is a lot like that. Basically a trail system of water and it's a blast to haul ass through the curves.
Its really fun to rip through the trails, especially on regular skis. The v8 however is a white knuckle experience haha
I don’t have much to say. But that thing is epic. I’m sure Cletus MacFarlane will be wanting to buy it from you. Lol.
That thing is absolutely crazy. Good for you dreaming it up.
What a gorgeous sounding water squirter!!
Be careful over ~600-700hp in the stock LS3. They start to die around 800 if you beat on them.
Awesome ski, just amazing , things will brake but you are the one to solve it from the look of it, Seedoo XP was always my favorite ski but looking at yours, man fell in love 😍😍
This thing is awesome! Would also love to see peoples reactions to it at an event
Ooohh lala! Nice!
Edit: I commented before watching.. That thing looks like it accelerates EVERY BIT as fast as a turbo sport bike. Insane. I love it!
🍻👍 clearly we are still working through the initial issues with this setup but it definitely accelerates super quick now.
That HKS mushroom is pure eye candy. Love it
That thing sounds absolutely ridiculous. Holy shit balls yall did good. You did really good.
MAD MAX BIKE OF THE OCEAN!!!!! OMG Death Ski!!! That thing has a Ghost or something!
I can’t wait for the next video. You are doing an amazing job with the ski. Sounds amazing. I know you will get everything working perfect soon. Even though I wish you have more problems so you can keep making videos about it 😂. But I can’t wait to see the full potential of it. Great job.
That things is so wild. Sounds incredible, it Must be a blast to ride with all that power 🚀
Awesome Job done how much to build a set up like this?
Extremely bad ass that must be a handful of throttle when you hit it nice job bud
First time on this channel, that is soooo badass!! That Blaster is my favorite ski of all time. Had one when I was a teen. What did it cost to do the swap??
V8’s are just amazing I mean listen to it 🤯😲🥰
That thing is insane, 🙌 hell of a job boys 🚀🤘🏼
Thanks Chris 🍻
@@JetSkiBrothers No, Thank you 🤘🏼🔥
I have never seen ridiculous look and sound so good.
Mean as bro some mad pick up speed there thanks for sharing
Wow that ski is absolutely insane! Love seeing just walk the camera ski like it’s sitting still. Happy to see all your hard work paying off
I never liked jet skis but now I think I really like them thank you LS V8
Wow, that is CRAZY COOL! .. freaking INSANE!! .. Nice work! .. holy cow!
Beautiful. I can imagine the gas is draining by the second!
That thing is crazy man, well done!!
Probably should slap a beefier intake grill on that thing (deeper) to keep the pump primed and the trim is probably insanely sensitive (like a fraction of a degree changes everything) but man that's a wild machine!
Can’t wait to see a Scott waterjet hanging off the back. I hope when this gets dialed you guys bring it to some hydrodrags in FL to show it off. One of a kind.
Geeeez am I noticing hardly (if any) lag? That thing is a monster, hell of a job!
So cool to see you guys really getting to grips with this beast. What an incredible project
Have to say this is amazing seeing it from start to finish great job guys!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That is the coolest-sounding SKI! it sounds gnarly! It doesn't sound like a V8. it sounds like something more menacing. 😂😂
Couldn't agree more!
That is without a doubt the baddest shit I've seen in a long time. Brilliant.
Wow that looks fast its all about those propellers moving water nice
It's like a Boss Hoss and a Jetski had a baby. Nuts! 🤣 Nice work guys!
G'day guys, been watching your series, awesome work your doing.
Can the pump cope with all that power.
Or is it allowing the engine redline to quickly ?
Most V8's run a much bigger jet pump.
This might be why it's difficult to tune.
Best of luck guys 👍
Yeah , what sort of pump do those jet sprint boats run, that might be the ticket.
Thanks, for sure we are testing the limitations of this jet pump setup. My thought is to try all the tricks to get the most out of this jetpump setup. Then if we still need more pump we'll switch to a different pump. My thought is to go with a jet sprint style pump. Any way thanks a bunch 👍🍻
@@JetSkiBrothers a larger two-stage pump might allow you to delete your gearbox.
And run direct drive. 👍
Idk if this has ever come up but this is the Boss Hoss of PWC.
LoL the sound of it is like no other jet ski. Awesome
Wow, that is nasty. I'm not a watersports guy but a V8 PWC would get me hooked.
Now you need a CVT for the pump! Great content - insane ski
Stainless steel pump end. Need a slipper clutch to help with the pump shock? Crazy build for sure !!
This has Cleetus McFarland written all over it 🤘🏾
First time seeing a video from you guys, instant subscribe.
Nice and when it blows up you get a nice trip to the moon in pieces! Cheers
You guys should bring that to the HydroDrags this October in Central FL. Would be awesome to see that thing race other Jetskis
V8 Jetski blows my mind totally awesome
*When he said "10 psi is more than I wanted to see on stock ring gap"...I feel attacked.*
You guys Definitely have to go down to Florida and race some of the fast skis down here
Everything becomes so much more fun when you swap in a big engine.
I've always wondered how much water presure a jet pump housing will take before it starts to let go. I imagine those viens are right at the point of the highest squeeze so to speak.
I noiced the rubber coupling damper tore off a pad, might need to think about upgrading this somehow to couple with the tourque.
Holy shit that's so f'king awesome. What a gorgeous beast. Wtg guys 😳🇨🇦💯
Best sounding JetSki I've ever heard.
so kool.such a beautiful testing ground, love the drift wood, water evrything
Jesus! When you crack the throttle at speed! What a beast.
is this the first... ever? Has to be the most insane feeling for a watercraft!
It sounds soooo good! Man you den started something! Rotary next please!
Brother took LS the world quite literally 🤣🥰
You guys should come down to Lake of the Ozarks in missouri for The shootout race! They have a jet ski class and you would get soooo much attention being the only v8 ski there!
The sound this thing makes is music to my ears👌💯😂😂😂
Change the material on the pump housing . The metal is to weak to handle the pressure. I had the same issue with an up graded 3 stage hamelton jet in alaska in 1990. All of the parts on the jet shaft were made for the hp of the motor. It saves money for the company. So if you up grade from v6 say and drop a turbo v8 iner or up grage the current power plant, the whole drivetrain needs to be up graded. Your on the right path and my buddy john force would be proud of what you have accomplished. Keep it going and dont quit, never quit. Great job with it so far.
Years ago I got my GTX up to 74 mph with iridium plugs and octane boost. It's wild even at 74 mph. Then it cost me $2k for a new short block. I enjoy watching your videos and wish you success. In the words of the late Carrol Shelby..... Theres no such thing as too much horsepower... Just not enough traction!
