These kinds of characters are better when 1. Theres already plenty of fan favorites already. 2. The moveset is really creative and fun Banana guard is neither, no matter how much i wanted to like him.
Actually pretty clever rooster, they gave us a highly requested character, a joke character (which im pretty sure it was added to tell anything could be in the rooster), a character from other franchise IP, and an unexpected one, so I guess they're saving the most requested Characters for each season to hype it out

Mr. Game & Watch comes from a series of old handhelds made with calculator technology. And R.O.B. is just an old NES peripheral that only worked with two games, and already sucked back then.

I think it would be difficult adding a Character thats been banned by Japan as a whole. Thats why you never see a multiplayer game that crosses over with Mortal Kombat since that game is playable in Japan that banned MK by Law.
