@@janetwoodville3643wow wow wow very nice, I have both a series and pros The A's feel and fit better wish they had all the functions the pros have tho so maybe the pro 2 will be them 🧐
I don't like the default sound profile on them at all. Needed to adjust it to be acceptable. Never could get the highs to work in a pleasing way. I switched to the FreeBuds Pro 3 which have the best default sound quality close up are the Honor Earbuds 3 Pro and the Moondrop Space Travel that are my choice for best affordable. Love your spreadsheet idea with ranking. I added a website for that (though smartphone cameras not TWS). Maybe I will "steal" this idea.
Yeah. I got the Pixel Buds Pro to pair with my Pixel 8 Pro and absolutely hated the sound. Very disappointing for the price. Got rid of them very quickly. Now I'm on the market for another pair. The new Nothing Ear looks intriguing. But I might just got a pair of cans again instead.
I do have these along with a Pixel 8 and the latency is vastly improved, but it looks to be gatekept for Pixel devices as my Tab S9 still has some bad audio latency when playing COD Mobile. Which is a bummer as I do like these but hate that companies lock features unless you have a certain device.
I got a pair and returned them due to the caller having problems hearing me, then decided to give them a second chance after your review. I could not believe the sound quality as I wasn't expecting much, but the transparency is insane. I never need to take them out, but theY do fall out when I get sweaty at work or cutting grass. I'm excited about the Pro 2 coming out.
The fitment is the biggest issue I have with the original Galaxy buds pro. I love how comfortable they are and I like everything about them, but the buds just don't stay in my ears that well. Just talking makes them come loose. They really needed a wing tip design or something.
These are my main daily buds. The battery life, design, and sound really won me over. The constant updates are great too, the EQ and Conversation Detection features are my favorite additions and really came in useful. Shout out to Google for finally getting it right as their 2 previous flagship models always missed the mark.
Very detailed video with rich information, Thanks’ Still can’t see Marshall motif ANC II in your videos comparison, I have the first version (quite good) but I can’t measure the new improvements vs the other earbuds in the market Hope will see it soon Thanks’
I have extreme sound sensitivity and my partner has a verrrryyyy chatty cat.. meows for hours for no reason (yes he's been to the vet) not to mention new neighbors moved in and they love to blast rap music.. The only thing is that I never get a good seal/fit for buds, they always fall out, I don't know why. I really need to make a decision because my sound sensitivity has been giving me anxiety attacks.
The Sony WFXM5 might work the best as the tips are hybrid memory foam so if you struggle with a fit over time they will improve. The ANC is great with higher frequencies as well
I'll also add that I found some tips that help fit. (Not SpinFit or memory foam) It's the Diofit tips meant for the Beats Studio Plus. They have a flanged tip that fit in my ear and the case rather nicely. I also like that they're silicon so they'll last much longer than memory foam.

Can I enjoy all the Pixel bud features on an iPhone. Say I have an older Android phone, do all the setting up there and then pair it to my iPhone. Will I have all the features available still? Thank you
Yea as long as you can download the pixel buds app. I originally used them on my galaxy s10e and I got all the features then used it on my iPhone 15 pro. The only thing that doesn’t carry over is the always on Google assistant
thanks for this. Can you hear your own voice while on a call? I really need this feature. I see they dont'have side tone but something called transparency is that right?
I loved my buds, but they broke twice within a year. The first set lasted a month. The replacement set lasted about 8 months. Because of that, I switched to the Samsung earbuds. Hopefully they're more durable because I like the Google ones a little better.
Fantastic video! I'm about to buy the pixel buds pro after already owning the airpods pro 2 (can't wear them for more than an hour because of pain) and the jabra elite 10s (poor transparency mode as my own voice sounds too muffled). So my qs is on whether my own voice will sound closer to the airpods pro 2 transparency mode than the jabra elite 10s? That'll help me to make a purchase decision as I do quite a bit of calling. And thanks for the excellent spreadsheet!
Thank you! Yep the pixel buds are better than the jabra elite 10 with the clarity of your own voice/occlusion. Not quite on the level of AirPods but pretty close.
Spot on @pickyaudio. Got mine today and the occlusion is just like you said. My own voice is quite audible and not muffled vs the jabra elite 10s but not as good as the airpods pro 2. However, in every other way they're equal or better then the airpods. I was tempted for a while to get the Sony linkbuds S but no longer. Let us know how it goes with the oneplus buds 3. Cheers!
Actually very wrong. Codec are part of what helps make them better. You don't make any sense to say this while the hardware does its portion to deliver sound the codec help you hear everything and keep the quality the best way it can so you aren't listening to a bunch of noise at once vs listening to everything in the song going on and actually hearing how everything comes together. Spatial audio an immersion shouldn't count for sound quality but Bluetooth codec def play a big roll. Only people who think that way have no idea how earbuds work or stick with Apple and they don't like the quality of music they just want a flat sound.
How to tell if the buds have pressure release/relief funcktion? Is that a small physical hole like on the AirPods Pro 2? Does it really make a difference?
would you recommend the Sony WFXM5 over the Pixel buds pro? i have the Pixel 7 pro and want the best earbuds for call quality and overall day to day lifestyle. thank you in advance

I absolutely hate using my Pixels for anything other than sitting in one place. Even if Im doing light yard work they start coming out. Then I end up constantly hitting controls because I have to try and get them back in. And I guess maybe I was spoiled on my Sonys because wind noise, and ANC in general, isnt that great.

I agree with you tuning of the buds are important but also the codecs and their sample rate and bit rate is important as well if a person is perceptive and not musically deaf ..note : mostly the people who claim that the codec via bluetooth streaming doesn't matter are iPhone users who don't even have a choice and are referred to aac 🤷
I use mine for over 8hrs a day with anc and transparency, dropping them in the case between jobs and I can get 2 days use before the case dies and need charging.

No. It's not. If my phone is on silent, it means I don't want the outside world to hear my phone ring. If I'm wearing my ear buds whilst the phone is on silent, it should notify me in my ear someone is calling without disturbing anyone else. Do you understand?
