Great video! I'm starting to learn more about each of you. Bentley and Mick seem to both have the sense of humor and Thomas and Mom seem very similar in many ways too. Thomas seems very serious and mature for his age, taking on many tasks and being very helpful. Still loving your honesty and willingness to share your hopes, fears, highs and lows. Looking forward to much more! 👍
Woot!! Back to back episodes with Meraki crew… best Monday ever!! Wow.. Monterey looks so fabulous ❤️ Can’t wait to visit there!! Kate - love how you capture such hilarious quick moments.. like Mick and the “peanut butter phone” 😆 So awesome guys… sail on!!! ⛵️
I used to live in Santa Cruz ! 1982. You missed Moss Landing and the Estuary behind it. About a two mile paddle max. A kayakers paradise with rafts of Sea Otters and 2 million Seals !! Stop next time. They have a marina you can stay at. Fun video. And the Blondie is Too Funny (at 3:35) !!
Impressive to me how Mick was able to break down that autopilot and apparently got it fixed. And it sure was nice how, in the meantime, you got that wind vane working well-- I know you'll happily continue to use it when appropriate. The surrey was an interesting contraption!
An extra episode this week! I'm impressed your live aboard engineer was able to fix the autopilot. The "Surrey with the fringe on top" looked quite hard pedal. I always think of the book by John Steinbeck when I think of Monteray: "Cannery Row".
Seriously, Mick is amazing. He can pretty much figure anything out. Haha the surrey was hilarious. We had a blast. We’ll check the book out! Monterey has some pretty sweet history.
How fun to re-live that wonderful "race" day! What a great sail. We may have caught up a bit but you guys were reefed so we know who can always win with full sails ;) we'll keep trying though! - Jackdaw
We used to worry about having the water maker feed directly into the tank.. we never had an issue with years of use. For convenience sake we have 3way valve with a testing line. We run the first few mins into the test line…discard the first bit ..test the TDS at the beginning and the end of the run. Do you have a TDS meter?
Definition of surrey (Entry 1 of 3) : a four-wheel two-seated horse-drawn pleasure carriage Just thought you would like to know. Thanks for the morning time joy.
@the old guy if you get the chance could you shoot us an email? cruisingmeraki@gmail.com We so appreciate all your kind encouraging comments each week and we just want to find a way to thank you with a hat or shirt from our Meraki Merch shop. 💕

I forgot to mention that the peanut butter phone and the spoon playing were both hilarious! 🤣

We loved Monterey. It felt like one of those places we could easily live.
Haha Mick and his silly antics!

He is Mr Fix, that’s for sure!

Oh that’s so cool! I had no idea of the origin - love it!
Back to Back Videos! Great Job! Be interested to see you get the water maker working. If you need parts I think SeaWater Pro has "reasonable" prices.
This water maker is taking us forever to get wrapped up… we’re too busy having fun. Haha
