    “Is it fully loaded?” question by Renee had me thinking of a similar hilarious moment about 6 years later: in a March 1991 playing of Lucky Seven, a contestant named Cathy wasn’t familiar how to play the game so she was looking to the audience for the 1st number in the price (it was played for a 4 digit truck also). She then asked Bob if she could see the inside of the truck. Then after that she guessed the first number. Before the # was revealed, Bob wondered what made her select the number she chose and she said “It’s not fully loaded”, and then also said “Just a stick” which led to so much hilarity. Even funnier when she guesses the first number correctly after the number is revealed, she throws her $ on the stage and celebrates because she thought she would win the car if she “guessed the first number correctly”, which unfortunately she didn’t listen to the rules carefully as Bob had stated. 😂🤣

    I'm a '74 model and like many others I have fond memories of staying home sick from school and watching the TPIR as the highlight of my day. What strikes me is the price of things 40 years ago compared to the income of the time. The price for those recliners is not far off from what you can get them for today. My dad made around $800 a month back then. I make about 10x that a month now.

    Idea: "Super Lucky Seven" - contestant wins one of the car for each $1 they have left over. They can buy multiples. If a car is put on Super Lucky Seven that's, say, 23,854, and the contestant is given the 2 and guesses 3, 8, 5, and 4, and has seven dollars left, they get SEVEN of that car.

    • @toddmccreary4579
      @toddmccreary4579 2 месяца назад

      Uhhhh no. Even though there probably is no way they would get every number right they would probably only play one game for a car that day. They'd have to have 7 cars available everytime they played. People usually don't have a lot of money left and if they did they would be better off getting gas with it instead of "buying" 7 cars without gas.
