I love the industrial nature of the Ffestiniog and its part in the North Wales slate industry. I love the Welsh Highland for the beautiful scenery through which it runs.
I was involved as a kid with the old welsh highland railway name Way b4 festiniog bought the name !!!!! I'm glad it runs now though N I agree with u Mu uncle practically rebuilt 'Russel' Still steaming to this day !!!!! I love ........all o this stuff me

Steve shoemaker I can remember as a wee kid the last steam locos. It was sooty and smokey going across a railway bridge or in a tunnel. Good to see you enjoy this. You must have steam machinery in the USA as well? Id love to see that but must admit cape canavral visit is a dream of mine
Wales is one of the most sparsely populated parts of europe and rugged and so beautiful. A great place for holidays and glorious in the sun in between rain and clouds
It's a bit of a myth that Taliesin was built in 1999. The original 1876 frames, whistle and cab were used. The frames are, I would argue, the important part. On one side of the cab is one of the original builders' plates with 'Built 1876' on it. On the other side is a new plate with 'Rebuilt 1999 Boston Lodge Works' on it. The other original plate is in Spooners' Cafe.
Nice video I worked on the old welsh highland railway .......my uncle is mr fairburn He practically rebuilt 'RUSSEL' ( which was borrowed pinched used by the festinig railway ) !!! After all .. The real welsh line the longest The most scenic lives I'm glad 4 that But not 4 what the festinog did as a company to the welsh highland name ...... Both companies now employ loads of people great to see in n.wales I love the place .........and long to visit often not often enuff If u watching this in 2020 THIS is what .......the elite wana END Forever Get out visit more Embrace.........OUR land 🙏🙏😊😊

I just love the beautiful stonework on those elevated tracks. UK rail industry really knows how to make it function and fashion all at once. Class
Thank you, I enjoyed watching this one, especially the Quirks and Curiosities.

Duke is based on the Welsh narrow gauge railway tender engine.
Top quality work.
Wow so beautiful.
SO wish I could've gone on it this year! Still, if its' past is any indicator, it isn't going anywhere
Very nice beautiful fantastic locomotive powerful 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚅🚅🚅👍💖💖👏👏🏆🌺🌺💅💅💅👌🚄🏆🏆🏆
so many parts of this remind me on the narrow guage parts of Thomas the Tank engine series 4
with the physical models

Duke the lost engine from Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends.

Farlies and Garrett’s don’t make much sense to me. Mallets worked just fine, why over complicate things?
How is the gauge of this railways, please?
1' 11½" just about 60cm, generally referred to as the 2 foot gauge
