This Park sign describes "the Snake"
"You are standing at the top of curves that road enthusiasts affectionately call "The Snake". Over the years Mulholland Highway has tested the merits of cars from Duesenbergs to Teslas. This particular stretch of road is a mecca for motorcyclists. It's sharp turns offer an adrenaline rush and a chance for fun, fame and often folly.
To your left is "Edwards Corner". It was named after the late Ed Savko, long-time owner of the Rock Store., a popular road house just down the hill. Hundreds of riders have (----) on this challenging 180- degree curve, perhaps showing off for spectators, who often gather here. Other succumb safely to the charm of "The Snake." "
Thanks for watching! - Авто/Мото
"You ever take it off any sweet jumps?"
that's what he done did, yep yep
Shocks! Pegs! Lucky.....
Pedro? Is that you? LOL
lmao
LMAO BRO!!!
Scrambler 1199
o3tomas lol 😂
He's literally flying through the corners...
Right on the family jewels ouch
I was thinking something similar. If he landed wrong the pain he felt from getting his nuts squashed may have caused him to wreck.
Love your vids man :)
Akrapovix thanks man!!
He took one for the team
You really are everywhere
Traction control and abs are amazing. He was already breaking with the front brake when he entered the dirt. Without those it will be imposible to save that fall.
Nice save for sure!
love you
overrated w/ bad pranks. always yells into mic. meh..........
I love you Sub D
+Carl James shut up carl
Carl with those sour grapes.
Dude's got some skill for sure, but see what happens when you focus too much on trying to impress people rather than paying attention to your riding!
Well saved dude, well saved.
indeed
true story, his main target was to drag his elbow(observe his left hand on the bike)
Yep! Plenty more lean on that bike but was too busy hanging off like an eejit!
You seem like a cool guy, we should hang out.
Settle down compliment sandwich.
Craigslist: "Never jumped"
You can see the exact moment when he needed toilet paper.
the moment when he got his shit pushed up straight to his throat
The elbow drag attempt 🤔
It's a win actually
@@seroltech118 huh
The man the myth the legend
Watching in slow motion, I think his elbow touched the pavement...
He wasn't prepared for that jump, his feet went off the pegs :)
Exactly. You have to squeeze the bike with your legs and give it a little rev mid-air. Duuuh
a co ty tutaj robisz?
He wasn’t a motocross guy I guess
@@ronaldtartaglia4459 I think riding dirtbikes gives a pretty big advantage for loss of traction situations and how to handle them
@@FuZe. yea it does, but it also gets you into the habit of covering that front brake (which isn't a good thing on street bikes)
You got like three feet of air that time!
Lemme try.
LMFAO Napoleon
love the way he continues riding... LEGEND!
Well there was a little seat poopage he had to reposition...
😊
A wise man once said, "Keep your eyes up, keep the rubber side down, and as long as you have the bars you're in control."
All the Panigale's electronics (ABS, traction control, data analyzer, engine brake control, electronic suspension, etc.) saved his ass. He would've been down 100% if it was any other bike.
It's worth it to spend extra money for the electronics especially ABS and traction control. If it prevents one fall, you got your money back.
That's not necessarily true. Riding on dirt isn't really that hard and he was pretty much straight up and down on the dirt. Although, if anything helped I'd imagine it would be ABS.
Ryancady010 The electronics helped him get up straight, otherwise he would've been down.
If you look closely, he pulled in his front brake you can see his hand and the brake light. Not sure if you ride, but if you are in a turn and you pull on that brake, you pull straight up. I've never heard of any electronics that will pull you up straight, unless you do know of any?
Ryancady010 What you don't see here is the road camber. It flattens out very suddenly on this corner. People that ride here know it all too well. That's why there are so many videos of people going down at the exact same spot. Because the camber flattens out suddenly, the rear wheel loses traction and the riders lowside or highside if the rear gains traction again. I'm not saying the electronics straightened the bike, reason this guy didn't go down is because all the electronics prevented the rear wheel from losing traction.
I'm not saying he would've necessarily gone down without them, but all Ducati's crazy electronics are awesome. Also, hot damn that bike sounds amazing.
It's times like that I wear my helmet to hide my face!
Patent 'target fixation'...awesome save from both the Ducati Engineers and the rider....
Saw a bit of target fixation there. Good save!
you just learn that term?
what was he fixated on no target there ?
shitty drive out with shitty suspension setup and overconfident...........
At 0:38 its like his heels touched the wheel :D
+Carl James there is a target the thin sign not saying that's what happened because all I saw was poor riding skill ,he panicked and stood it up and then just got lucky ... he could have just leaned into the turn more instead of panic but that's very common with new riders ... live and learn
i mean you are joking right?
new rider here. what does "target fixation" mean? thanks!
good job , he did not panik :) full on focus ! thank you for posting :)
Amazing it didn't low side, I felt that!!
Gotta admit that was amazing. That could have ended in so many terrible ways but it didn't. Takes a lot of confidence and experience to not crash when the bike is doing something scary.
Pheww that was close!!! and now a youtube record holder,,,First guy to pull a Superman on an 1199!!! KeepSafe Guyz N Galz.....
When you go into the dirt at a street bike riding location you need to clean up the mess. Don't leave gravel on the road, the next guy might go down because of you.
Clean up your mess!
You always seem to be in the right place at the right time to get GREAT SHOTS!!!
I had a save like that recently in Austin. Thank goodness for ABS and a good grip on the handle bars.
That's what you get for trying to put you elbow on the ground :D
Heartbeat at the moment : 1000 beat /second
🤣🤣🤣🤣
This bike is just ❤️ 🔥
Awesome.
Love your vids man
+Akrapovix Thank you!!!
you need to ride the snake 650ib
Nice save. Bringing his bike back upright as he left the pavement was his best move. Most would lean it harder and the out come much worse.
You sir are a legend!
that was teh second save, first was when he was in the corner and you could see the rear was spinning out
That ducati though ♥
Love the sound in slow motion. Sounds like a very angry tractor :D
2/10 on style points for the indian air
I give it a 3 because it's a Ducati
"watch me send this one bro!"
Surly a skilled pro biker... Excelente riding.
Wish we had roads like this where I live in NC Piedmont. So awesome.
Great save there👍👍👍
Good man! Even when he ran wide he kept his head in the game and didn't let her go.
Super nice save
Napoleon: “Ever take it off any sweet jumps ? “
That's awesome ‼️
Such a beautiful machine...
ahhh my heart just stopped for a sec lol nice save!!!!
that head shake says it all. been there.
But the guys yelling “wo ho ho oo hooo” 🤣🤣
damn! thats a hell of a save
Good Ride.....Thank you...
you make really cool videos, how do you record your sound ? i also subscribed keep up awesome videos !
Ohhhhhhhhhhh. Like you said, nice save!
What a pro!
this is just nice save , some good and smart reflex. calm mind to put that brakes off at the time he landed.
you can actually hear the abs working that's amazing
In Italy, precisely in the land of motors, we say "Manico" for this kind of rider.. Experienced for sure
Wow, I like it!! He's skill rider.
Great gear you're using, it's clear as a bell. Thanks. Not sure I'd call it a save. When he was in the air just about any result was possible.
What exhaust is on that thing? Probably the best sounding motorcycle I've ever heard
Woohoo awesome confidence bro
Nice save
Wish I could always be so lucky/skilled. Give this guy 5 points!
Did that once on the exit of 3 at Brainerd. Same reason, did not trust it to make the corner. Moment of silence when I hit the bump, Landed and kept on going
SICK JUMP
He probably shat in his leathers. For sale on craigslist, never been down.
Woh ho ho super save
WOW! Good, good save ;)
So easily done. Great bit of riding to save it.
What a save indeed!
That super man mx move tho! lol!
This is a good example for target fixation
i would meet my quotas by hanging out with this camera guy, it's a no brainer.
nice save
Sweet bike, very nice.
the best 😍
good save!
Just a quick question guys.
When you countersteer just before a corner to tip the bike over yes.... should you continue to countersteer through the corner to make little adjustments or just try to steer normally. Only asking because alot of videos on here i see people not countersteering mid corner. Eg they realise they are running wide and and turn the handlebars left on a left turn, not right which would result in countersteering. reply if you understand ha.
The faces of the other guys are just priceless lmao
experiencia señor!!!
Much respect; the way he handled the situation! Amazing but be careful ;)
Bike did a lot of the work, but still the guy kept his cool enough to stay on.
that reminds me. where do you get leathers cleaned?
target fixation?
that's what I would say. surprising tho
yeah I know. but you can see it at 0:17 , he's looking at the sign
+Gäbu m not really. His boot hit the tire which caused him to freak out and lose his footing. Then it looks like a bit of target fixation, but its hard to tell if hes looking that way because hes going that direction, or if hes looking that way to assess what his foot just made contact with.
thats not target fixation he was just too focused On getting his elbow down, he might be a track racer because anyone who races on the track knows you gotta straighten your bike if you run off or else you're gonna fall
yeah i think he was too focused on draggin elbow
exactly what happened to me going down Glendora mountain road and exactly how I safed it Lol good shit
"Bumps-a daisy. It's enough to make ya weep."
LOL. Flight Sgt in the U.K. Air Force in "Battle of Britian." Great movie.
Real skill
Great motion and video quality, what camera do you use now?!
Nice recovery! Ballsy to take a bike out to Mulholland - a famous speed trap - with no license plates though.
I enjoy the headshake.
Hanging off. Funny stuff to watch.
very nice save....
I'm loving the 60FPS!
WHAT A SAVE
LIKE A BOSS
what a jump!
Are guys up there riding all the time? I'm going to be out there on vacation and would love to watch some bikes since I won't be able to ride!
Proper save
does anybody have any official stats for how many crashes happen daily and monthly in the snake valley area?
Where is he holding his hand on the left handlebar? On the bar-end thing itself?!
Grande moto!!!!!
Save of the year
