This Park sign describes "the Snake"
"You are standing at the top of curves that road enthusiasts affectionately call "The Snake". Over the years Mulholland Highway has tested the merits of cars from Duesenbergs to Teslas. This particular stretch of road is a mecca for motorcyclists. It's sharp turns offer an adrenaline rush and a chance for fun, fame and often folly.
To your left is "Edwards Corner". It was named after the late Ed Savko, long-time owner of the Rock Store., a popular road house just down the hill. Hundreds of riders have (----) on this challenging 180- degree curve, perhaps showing off for spectators, who often gather here. Other succumb safely to the charm of "The Snake." "

You'd think it gets old, you know? The Mulholland Drive twisties with sportbikes fucking shit up.
But it never does. I could watch Rnickeymouse's edits of riders on Mulholland drive day in, day out. The different riders, supersports, lines, flybys, wheelies; I can watch this content over and over. Rnickeymouse all day!!
jdwm z same and I'm from east Texas. only been on the snake once 2 summers ago. Been planning my return trip ever since. first go around was on a klr650, so not just extremely fun but I still had a blast.
East TX is a fairly reasonable distance from southern Arkansas...and there are some REALLY GOOD rides in that area! If you don't have the chance to go all the way to the Left Coast, just head northeast for a ways...maybe like a long weekend or something...

Charlie Ford most of the newer Yamaha motorcycles have a good sound once a proper pipe is fitted.
Charlie Ford not that the pipe adds to the engine sound, but I think its a Racefit? Maybe with the titanium can? Can anyone confirm?
jdwm z very true. pipe only effects the exhaust sound, motor will sound the exact same.

No bike sounds better than a crossplane 4 cylinder. They sound even more amazing at the race track.

I have gotten behind a few 'cruisers' that moved pretty well...and I even ride one myself sometimes...and trust me, I put it thru its paces if I am not riding with a group of my friends..!
But I KNOW that the cruiser is "Just in the way" for Sport Riders...and I give them a passing lane as soon as it is safe to pass. Yes..."Fast for a Harley" is not even "Fast" for my V6 Mustang! Let alone a Sport Bike! Ha Ha !!
But I always ride "for fun"...and if I get behind a rider that is going pretty well, I usually just relax and follow for a while... at a distance that doesn't 'pressure' them to either get mad at me or do something stupid to 'show me how fast they can go'... The ones who are real "riders" will soon make a space for me to pass. The "road hogs" will keep taking up the entire road like they think they are Deputy Sheriffs duly obligated to 'enforce' speed limits, or think "I am going fast enough for Anybody..."
That's @nationalmotors on Instagram he's probably way quicker than your average sport bike rider and he's on a 110 ci bike (now it's a 117)

That R1M sounds fantastic. The MT-09 is pretty good as well, but just needs a liiiittle louder exhaust.

I got the S1000RR, because it came standard with knee down button. I hit that button and boom.. automatically my knee hits the ground on twistys!
Elbow down button does cost extra but is worth it

Probably the bridgestone rs-21 tires. These bikes are ALL killin it nowadays!
No matter what you ride, the R1M will always be a head turner 02:50 and that ZX 6R is a melody to ears!

I 'push' my Suzuki Intruder sometimes, until frame parts are dragging... but I ALWAYS give room to other riders who want to go faster...
In fact, I also give room to pass if I am riding my Sport Bike and another rider wants to pass! (-;
I just tell my friends I got passed by ROSSI! Ha Ha !!
I am comfortable with myself, and don't have to "prove" anything to other riders!

A lot of people say the rsv4 is the best sound in motorcycles....i think the R1 has it covered. That's one of the reason i bought one.
Matt R C R1 is awesome, I got a mt09, they sound pretty the same just r1 is bit more screamer. Thinking of getting that rsv4 later, been yammer for life wanna make some difference.

I guess you're talking about 'MURICA, where everyone just takes their exhaust off and make the bike as loud as possible. My gsxr k9 sounds amazing with a Bodis exhaust. Deep down low and throaty up in the revs.
