- Here’s a simple way to install your LED strip light
Wire sequence:
Connect to signal bulbs
Yellow to green
Red to white
Black to white with black line

You tied all three wires to the connectors on the turn signal?
LED’s are the ones that are safe to touch halogens blow when you touch the bulb because the oil from your fingers ruins the gas in the bulb

Halogen bulbs are so hot that the glass has to be perfectly clear and clean because the slightest fingerprint smudge will partially block the light from escaping and that causes heat buildup and glass cracks from too much heat. The COB (chip on board) LED headlight bulbs also generate heat, sometimes as hot as a hot cup of tea, which one shouldn’t touch needlessly if one can avoid it

The way the turn signal flows with the stock turn signal looks amazing
It's called Sequential Turn Signal. Usually a yellow wire and red and black

My car is a nissan 300zx Z32 model. My car is not DRL OEM. I noticed I have a pair of Fog lights that have been removed but the connections are still there, there is a white and black from the old fog light connection, I just want the white DRL light not the Amber to work so the current amber hooked to the car will work via its OEM, so based on this which wires do I connect to the old Fog light connectors which are black and white and will it work if I only connect the DRL white not the amber. I prefer your wiring method by just using the wiring already provided for all three leads. Was there any long-term issue with any fuses blowing or not being happy with the small extra load of the LEDs? Thanks in advance
No everything’s been fine I’m at 50k miles and a lot of nighttime run time. Voltage in the car has never changed (I have a voltage meter) all good
YOU HAD ONE JOB THE WHOLE TIME
The only reason why some people have to tap in the fuse box is because some cars don't come with DRL already, so, you would have to use an ACC connection from the fuse box like the radio to be able to install DRLs
What does ACC mean? I bought some DRL’s and it has a control box with it but in the instructions it says to wire the black and red wire to the battery and the white wire to the ACC. What do they mean by ACC?

So you only need to wire tap the three wires going into each signal light and that also makes the white L.e.d' s light up too even though they work from a different switch ?? 🤔

Can you tell me- can I put this stripe over my lights where I already have a fabric led stripe on top of headlight, but this one is way prettier. Does it mean if I put this kind of additional light on car, it will substitute some initial bulb, or I can have all lights I had before plus one additional more?

Thank you for the video. Question, my headlights have a sharp turn(angle) and I wonder how flexible is this strip when laying flat. It will lay almost like yours but I need it to curve a little more

So the best way for that is to connect it to a DRL bulb anything that’s always on regardless.
I'm gonna do this minus the dlr since the hybrid already has them.

Iv fitted these to my car , I put the red wire straight to the ignition feed in the fuse box and the ground to the chassis then found my indicator wire the lights work fine so do the indicators but wen I start the car the indicators don’t work but the drl still light up?

Need some help! I have these and wanting to connect to my vw transporter 2006 ( uk ) the indicator bulb just pulls out and not attached tk any cables at all. Could I just connect the led strip to my headlight bulb if so would the indicator still work on the strip or does it need to be connected to the indicator bulb? Cheers and great video.

I added these to me Scirocco and it works when you turn the key once but once the ignition is on it switches off, I'm assuming because my car is giving more than 12V power once its running so the LED strip switch off, is there anyway around this?

I don’t see why not youd just have to check out the wiring
when talking about cars, it's less confusing to call the sides of a car by what type of Passenger would be on that side. so you have the Driver's side and the passenger's side.
I have wired the day running light the red wire to a switched live in the fusebox black earth to body and yellow to indicator live wire the indicator doesn't work when the day running light part is on but does with hazards or when I lock car any ideas why it doesn't indicate when the running light is on

Hi mate i did the same for my citroen c1 , but have one issue. When i use only the turns they work. But when day lights is on and i start some of the turns left or rights, the just flash one's and stop it. I take the negative and plus fron side lights and second plus from turns. Where is the issue???

If I want to use these lights for DRL, can I just wire it to the high beam light (since it’s also the drl light) and it would work? I believe it gives our 6volts so I’m sure if that would be enough to power these strips.

Signal was just easier access for everyone to get it working all in one
not worth it for DRL since it not really that bright in sun light, but really help at night. I have it install in camry 2016, and rav4 2020. the strip on the camry is old and hazed quick, but still work and look great at night.

Putting the strip outside of the headlight will make it stain the headlight itself, threw min away after a few months because it was stained and looked ugly
True only if you do not maintain your headlights.
I suggest ceramic coating your headlights or ceramic tint to avoid that

@@bigbanka5572 Mine just have 2 wire, I install led strip, and work fine, until I turn the lights and use the turn light, flashes just ones then both lights (white or ambar) stops, until I turn off turn signal, white light came back. Can something extra be install to prevent this issue.

I put the red and black on the pos and neg of my low beam(ones that you put on at night) and I’m having issues. I guess I have to put it on my drl bulbs?

@@bigbanka5572 2014 Camry. It’s tapped into the low beams so it only turns on when the lights are on and if you turn the signal on the lights flash with its should I change it or just change the ground idk

The bs sticky tape that comes on it sucks bad. I know I can't be the only one that dealt with this. So what is the best solution?
Mine are still on actually with the one it came with but you can order 3M double sided sticky tape for LEDs
@@bigbanka5572 the 3m tape i found in stores was that grey crap. I need that 3m tape they use for decals etc because that stuff is 100x better and cements on. I have the strip lights and one side came where the middle section of the turn signal don't work (can't bend and twist like they say). Amazon let me keep them and gave a full refund last night and I'm about to order a new set but this time im going with LEADTOPS brand because they have the highest star rating everywhere out there. Plus I didn't realize that the edge with the scissor marks (labels) are supposed to be hidden.

No it’s safe!!
Corrosion will set in over time as t-tap expose the wire. Been there. Done that.
It is safe but it will eventually corrode the wires. Btw if you are still planning to tap the wires, DO NOT do it so close to the plug/socket. Give yourself room for error and space to work, maybe offset the taps a bit too. I’m sure it must’ve been tough to fit all the taps so close together, now imagine having to service that in case of failure. Lastly dielectric grease might help with corrosion.
I thought you shouldn’t touch the bulb if it’s a halogen because it gets hot.

Not much I can try and find out exactly but my vault meter hasn’t changed still reads 13.8

I have a Ford focus mk3, I installed some drl strips from aliexpress, the drls work great as I unlock the car.. As soon as I turn the ignition on and the car starts, the drls are flickering and don't work. Please HELP if someone knows how to fix this .

@@bigbanka5572 I measured with a voltmeter 12V on 2 wires( so I wired the red at V++ and black to the ground). When the car is running it runs 12.5V on the wires but I don't think that this change of voltage creates this problem. Thanks for your quick answer
I installed the LED strips and the problem is that when the white light is on, there is no yellow light. When I turn off the white light - the yellow light is on.
