@@brusselseastside3546 dude i dont even remember at this point. must have been in like june - august or something like that, i found him through his song "SALLY II"
Makes me so happy to see this actually get reviewed. While I didn’t love it, the dudes been working his ass off for years and I’m happy to see him get recognition
imagine being a new artist that does everything themselves in an underground fashion and receiving the same score on your project as mbdtf from fantano..... truly a blessing. I hope he continues to prosper with his creativity and mindset.
happy to see this reviewed, its a good project with a lot of potential. cant wait to see what jimmy brings in the future with his uniqueness and creativity
Oh wow what a wild turn of events. Literally just discovered this guy this week through his Uncultured video, and was surprised to see he's pretty low key. Cool of you to review the record Fantano.
I'm glad you reviewed it, JIMMY has still a long way to go but has got the potential to do something really beautiful. Plus only W comments from all the people here that support him
I’ve been getting this album recommended in RUclips feed so often and it never clicked with me personally. The way it got pushed in my feed was just very bizzare to me
@@Deventerous yeah I respect His grind but it I watched a couple vidéos from him, I think its pretty easy to tell he is an industry plant but his shit is still fun
WOWWWWW! JIMMY is really one in a billion, GHETTOLAND is a wonderful project that has so much blatant effort into it. It’s amazing that you can boost his platform like this
I found this guy awhile ago and immediately started following him. I think he'll get really big some day and I'm happy to say that I've been following him since the beggining
LET’S GO!! I’ve first listened to JIMMY live back in 2016-2017. Really loved his old work even though he was still learning to become “better”, when I knew he had a lot of potential. Fast forward to 2021, still seeing his progress, my boy Sniper got invited to be apart of a secret music video, which I got invited as well and got to see JIMMY’s creative plan on the music video. ENJOYED EVERYONE THERE AND JIMMY HIMSELF. Funny guy. Now seeing him on a bigger platform makes me even more proud of him. Anthony, please take a listen to his whole discography! Much love to JIMMY!
WAIT A MINUTE HE ACTUALLY DID IT been a fan of him ever since the very drop of *GHETTOLAND. its great that your showcasing such an underrated and lesser known artist :D he clearly has great things in his future
Hey Anthony, I hope this reaches you. I feel like alot of the most innovative music nowadays comes from the UK. I feel like it's super underrepresented here. I really like what you are doing, and I would love to get a review of Two Shell's Icon or some of Tirzah's songs. I'm sure you would enjoy them. Electronic music is alot more than edm, and it produces some of the most relevant contemporary artists. It's time people outside of europe become aware of it.
Hi Anthony! Could you consider reviewing any album by the English duo 'Ider', or even the band itself? I'm deeply fond of their song 'Saturday', but aside from that am not sure what to think of their other music and work, or what they're about, for a lack of better words; I really respect your insight and point of view so I'd much appreciate your take!
@@yungxgreenbean what a way of putting it 😂 He hasn't built enough rep to speak this way.. Dave Chappelle is an OG in comedy but people just generally like hearing him speak and his ideas. A start up stand up comedian can't do that
meh, i think his attitude is legit. he's been grinding for long, *GHETTOLAND is his 5th album. he seems to know who he is and what he wants to bring to this rap industry. and i'm supporting the hell out of it
found JIMMY in my own musical growth journey a couple months ago and he had ab the same viewership I do currently. definitely a motivating force ! enjoyed how different the album was and hope to see something more personable released from him.
surprised you didn’t mention couleurs, one of the best sounding tracks in my opinion, yet it was cut short in order to continue his “burger joint skit” thing. i like the album but damn that was like, the staple moment of some songs not being fleshed out.
Would love to hear what you think about Ak'Chamel The Giver of Illness. Their new album A Mournful Kingdom of Sand is, in my opinion, top tier psych music combining numerous cultures instruments, folk music, chants, drones, and more familiar elements of psychedelia. They have one of the most original and unique discographys I've had the pleasure of finding lately. Big on the concept album side of things though.
I find JIMMY to be a very intriguing character. I love his passion and heart. His influences are also my favorite artists, so fits right up my alley. But the mixing is a big mess, the singing doesn't hit, and the narrative can drag sometimes when he starts jumping around topics. Over than that, the writing is good, the production is soulful and pretty. I liked the listening experience of *GHETOLAND, but it's hard to go back and enjoy it. I'm gonna keep my eyes on JIMMY...
Dude, I literally just saw an ad with this dude saying that ghettoland was supposed to be his breakout record and that when he started that he wanted to be like Odd Future. This is trippy
Hay Anthony, I think the Ep from crosses “ permanent radiant” is very beautifully put together in every corner, Id like to see you review it, chino says he feels he’s in the same boat with this EP with when deftones did “white pony”
Ghettoland is pretty good for what it is. Jimmy will be someone to watch from now on I'm sure. I will say though, Heavy Heavy by the Young Fathers dropped recently and that has gotta be one of my personal favorite albums in a long time. Personally it's damn near unskippable. Ululation is the only one I might skip, but the rest I added to my playlist in a heartbeat.
HE ACTUALLY REVIEWED IT. Such a unique album, can’t wait to see JIMMY’s growth
RIGHT I'm so psyched to see this
The dudes been pushing music for years and years with little growth and the fact that this is getting praise is absolutely amazing to see
@@PwrShelf me too
Frr wordd a talented brother
My sentiment precisely 👆
This is so crazy considering JIMMY’s “studio” is a laptop inside his car
He recorded this whole album on a computer in his car??? That’s dope asf
Hell yeah someone giving this guy a bigger platform 🙌
