I have music from almost every punk band of the 70's-90's, and only discovered these guys last week...what F'n rock have I been living under?!?! This is brutal stuff, indeed. I'm going to the record store today!
While others worship Hendrix, and I can't disagree, I bow to Mascis. No player has more feeling in his solos. I could listen for hours on end, and have. this is a classic.
If I was young, talented and could write music I would wanted my band to follow the route of the jr.Never sold out with a cult following spanning 3 decades.True class
At 2:40 when J kicks in that distoration/flange it sounds so awesome. He does the same on Freak Scene live. It's like he unleashes the power of a jet fighter out of his guitar.
I just saw them a couple weeks ago in the States. My ears rang for at least 3 days afterwards. An incredible live show. I broke my thumb in the mosh pit! One performance I'll never forget.
what Dinosaur Jr. has going for them is that raw edge of a band that is melodic yet fierce at the same time. Their sound has an intoxicating quality to it.
I first saw them live 20 years ago in Manchester and last saw them live in Birmingham on their last tour. A timeless band who were sadly overlooked when the Seattle sound came to the fore. Great to listen to live or recorded.
Stunning live performance. Interesting to see how extremely tight J's rhythm guitar is during the first part of the song when he can concentrate fully on playing and doesn't have to sing lead vocals. ...and those fills by Murph are to die for. So glad they're back together again.
"Your living all over me" is the name of DJ's second album. "Get" is informing the respective person that he/she should put "Your living all over me" be at the top of the list of old dinosaur Jr. albums to buy.
What an incredible performance. The guitar work, bass, drums, vocals, everything was just phenomenal. These guys are definitely an overlooked band who deserve more recognition for their talent. Sadly most people are just to complacent to listen to cookie cutter radio freindly shit and never discover what real music is.
i just saw them two weeks ago. AMAZING...AMAZING live show. i can't stress enough how good their live show is, SO much better than this video. i've never heard solos improv'ed like that in my life
Agreed. When I first posted that comment, I was only just starting to get into Dinosaur Jr. I've come to appreciate Mascis's voice now though. It's not flashy but it has character
Lou sings on: Dinosaur (1985) - Forget the Swan, Cats in a Bowl, Does it Float, Gargoyle, Mountain Man You're Living all Over Me (1987) - Lose, Poledo Bug (1989) - Don't Beyond (2007) - Back To Your Heart, Lightening Bulb Farm (2009) - Your Weather, Imagination Blind plus every Sebadoh, Sentridoh, Folk Implosion and solo release :-)
Somehow they are actually BETTER than they were the first time around. This is fucking AMAZING. I hope they stay reunited forever. Jesus. I've got chillbumps.
i love the way rollins talks to the camera like some English toff ( no offence to anybody ) it's just the way he cuts it he is an awesome performer and entertainer and i laugh my guts up when he does it.
I was lucky enough to see them when I was in HS on the living all over me tour -- it was awesome all around, but I was particularly struck by lou's chord work on the rick -- thunderous and subtle -- great to see and hear that again here
i saw them a few months ago at minglewood hall here in memphis. they played this. Lou Barlow played his bass lying on the stage. it was pretty fucking great.
J, Lou and Murph back together again..whoda thunk it? Great..although having Lou sing a lot helps J. keep his voice from falling apart..and lets him play free and easy!
You are 100% correct. Loud certainly doesn't always equal awesome. I've seen plenty of loud bands who sucked. I was just trying to make the point that a youtube video doesn't give a listener the full Dino Jr. wall-of-sound experience. I happen to love them and J. Mascis is one of my all-time favorite guitarists. If you don't, that's perfectly fine for you. There are plenty of bands out there for everyone.
The girl from the introduction was clearly reading Henry's writing and she delivered it quite well while being very attractive. As for Dinosaur Jr., it's one of his favorites.
Lou Barlow has to be one of the most talented and unnoticed musicians of the past 20 years.
he got as noticed as the market allowed. He had his chance, and it was better than the rest of us from the block.
My left ear is really enjoying this.
I have music from almost every punk band of the 70's-90's, and only discovered these guys last week...what F'n rock have I been living under?!?!

It's ridiculous how perfect every single second of this song is. It can't get any better.
The new album is incredible. Live, they're incredible. This song is incredible.
Dinosaur Jr. = incredible.
And so are Fugazi. Both life changers
One of my favorite Rollins Show performances.
it's like he could tell stories with his guitar!
If I was young, talented and could write music I would wanted my band to follow the route of the jr.Never sold out with a cult following spanning 3 decades.True class

thanks, i just cant express how much i love their music
Last saw them 15 years ago, seeing them again in London end of the month. Still as good as ever.
Hell of a guitar solo!
Seeing J play makes me want to buy a Jazzmaster.
that was the idea and now look... Fender sells a lot of them to people like you.
10 odd years later they still sound incredible
Dinosaur JR.! Amazing... plus J really looks like Sauromon rocking out on the guitar. He's casting musical spells all over the world
They all 3 just tear this song apart. I love it. Can't wait to see them again.
What an incredible song & peformance. Unbelievable solo from J there as well. Man these guys are overlooked, they are outstanding musicians.
what Dinosaur Jr. has going for them is that raw edge of a band that is melodic yet fierce at the same time. Their sound has an intoxicating quality to it.
I first saw them live 20 years ago in Manchester and last saw them live in Birmingham on their last tour. A timeless band who were sadly overlooked when the Seattle sound came to the fore. Great to listen to live or recorded.
That's would be so amazing. Two of the greatest guitarists in the world. They both write amazingly beautiful, melodic songs and solos.
I've had there first cd in my car for 3 weeks it's all i listen to in there and i drive alot. One day i'll move onto another one haha
I think J. is an alien, he's not from this world. That guitar sounds always amazing.
Stunning live performance.
Interesting to see how extremely tight J's rhythm guitar is during the first part of the song when he can concentrate fully on playing and doesn't have to sing lead vocals.
...and those fills by Murph are to die for. So glad they're back together again.
I saw these guys a couple of nights ago and when they played this song, I was in awe of how amazing these guys are!!
What an amazing solo.
my favorite song of all time.love you....
I love the way they did it that night i could listen to these guys all day long you just don't want heir songs to end
"Your living all over me" is the name of DJ's second album. "Get" is informing the respective person that he/she should put "Your living all over me" be at the top of the list of old dinosaur Jr. albums to buy.
wow. they've still got it
I've always liked D Jr.
But as they got older they just got so much better at their instruments. This is a flawless performance.
The whole song is super, the chorus melody gives me the goosebumbs everytime i hear it.
Kick ass! I'm glad the original guys are back together.
What an incredible performance. The guitar work, bass, drums, vocals, everything was just phenomenal. These guys are definitely an overlooked band who deserve more recognition for their talent. Sadly most people are just to complacent to listen to cookie cutter radio freindly shit and never discover what real music is.

The best ever band ever ................PERIOD
No, seriously, I am in heaven listining to this. Listen to reakscene if you want to get into this band.
Awesome performances.
Gracias por el video, lo he visto 50 veces!!
Superb performance. One of the best unplugged I've ever seen. Great band.
Agreed. When I first posted that comment, I was only just starting to get into Dinosaur Jr. I've come to appreciate Mascis's voice now though. It's not flashy but it has character
Great performance of a great song.
When you think about, this is pretty much the most rock and roll video ever. This is rock at its pure essence.
Truer words have never been spoken!!
Lou sings on:
Dinosaur (1985) - Forget the Swan, Cats in a Bowl, Does it Float, Gargoyle, Mountain Man
You're Living all Over Me (1987) - Lose, Poledo
Bug (1989) - Don't
Beyond (2007) - Back To Your Heart, Lightening Bulb
Farm (2009) - Your Weather, Imagination Blind
plus every Sebadoh, Sentridoh, Folk Implosion and solo release :-)
Yeah, I'm from the Netherlands too and I saw them twice too (in Vera and at Lowlands)
They are so awesome!
dinosaur jr rules. they need to tour to florida again. i missed them last time.

What A song What a Band Awesome
I just saw them in burlington on the 4th. Blew my mind as well.
This Song's a Masterwork!
I have all their CD's because I'm 46 years old.. One of my all time fave bands, if not THE fave.
I saw them last summer at leeds festival (I saw them in 2005 aswell) in the UK, it was amazing.
True godfathers of an entire genre!!!
Good post. Henry is a legend and this is one of my favourites from the first Dinosaur album which also happens to be my fave album of theirs. Awesome.
this is the first song by this band i have listened to. i like ir.
JUST GREAT SONGWRITING AND PLAYING;

Good stuff! One of my all time favorite bands.
Dinosaur Jr. is GREAT !!!
Good song, I regret not listening to them back in the day.
Somehow they are actually BETTER than they were the first time around. This is fucking AMAZING. I hope they stay reunited forever. Jesus. I've got chillbumps.
Just Great!!! Thanks
i love the way rollins talks to the camera like some English toff ( no offence to anybody ) it's just the way he cuts it he is an awesome performer and entertainer and i laugh my guts up when he does it.
this is freaking rad. im gonna see them tonight.
Mascis is the gandalf of the guitar (y)
when he grew his beard he became the Saruman of guitar
Amazing song from an amazing band!
forget the swan never fails to bring tears to my eyes
just saw henry rollins interview them and before a concert it was awesome
Met all of them last month! Soooo coool!
Kick ass performance, really reminds me that I should listen more to Dinosaur Jr.
killer drummer
I was lucky enough to see them when I was in HS on the living all over me tour -- it was awesome all around, but I was particularly struck by lou's chord work on the rick -- thunderous and subtle -- great to see and hear that again here

dinosaur jr es lo mejor!!
a master of the jazzmaster
I couldn't hear shit for 3 days after a D Jr. show. But it was worth every minute.
whoa, full grudge and from the era survived heroin. double + thumbs up!
J, Lou and Murph back together again..whoda thunk it? Great..although having Lou sing a lot helps J. keep his voice from falling apart..and lets him play free and easy!
@DrumShag1986 you rock dude! ive been listening to them since i was in jr. high(im 33 now) after jr. i never looked back. enjoy!
Yeah, "You're Living All Over Me" is the best one. You can't go wrong with the new one either.
one of the greatest songs...ever.
totally awesome.....
Hells yes! I love Dinosaur. By the way, due to the shirt he's wearing, J obviously likes the Wipers, one of the greatest bands ever.
12 years later...indeed!
These guys rock so hard
Great Wipers shirt J!
So good!
Round of applause for Henry Rollins for going from Black Flag to television
I just remembered why i fucking love this band

lou's voice....so good

Loved Murph's drumming in this one. Lou and jay were OK...
