- On our first virtual walking tours of the New Year, we are going back to the hogback trail for a walk above famous Paradise Valley, fictional location of the Dutton Ranch. The views from this perspective never fail to blow me away and we caught the late afternoon light on the Absaroka mountains. It's a short one but a nice workout for your treadmill videos.

I enjoy your videos. I am 75 with some health issues. When I was younger I would get out and hike in places like you film. Now I follow along while I am on my treadmill.

Henry, thank you so much for sharing this! Montana is my favorite place,and I dont get to visit as often as I like. I Hiked a trail outside of Kallispell in oct 2014 similar to this one,reallt enjoyed it. I think it was a park close to town,worth a look if you are in that area.

I looked up Music Ranch Montana. Sounds like a neat place, but something I probably wouldn't spend concert prices for either. Would be neat to experience it once though.
It is fantastic of the people owning the property, opening it up! If that was in Ohio, you'd see garbage laying around, unfortunately. I hope it stays as pristine as it looks!

What was the pipeline you stepped over around the 16:30 mark? Irrigation?
Hi Mike, I think so. It kind of runs along the irrigation ditch. -H
The Osmo 3 seems to be working well for you. How is the mic/audio? Have you tried filming night scenes and if so, how is it? Must be better than the GoPro at those things, I would think. -Daniel
Its low light mode is pretty good. Of course it can only do so much but I’m very impressed. I’ve only done a couple shots using the low light mode so far though. -H
@@CityWalks That's one of my biggest complaints about the GoPro - it's terrible at low light. And it has other faults and limitations, like the "Media Mod" solution just to add an external mic. May be time to dump the GoPro.
@@WheresMyMapmaybe but the Osmo3 isn’t really weatherized. I think the GoPro is still a great action cam but DJI is definitely on their tail catching up. -H
@@CityWalks Right. For wet conditions or submersion (which I don't do), the GoPro is the right choice. And I don't want to be too down on the GoPro - it does produce excellent 4k video and has served me reasonably well for the past few years. Just looking for better onboard audio, and low-light video. And possibly better stabilization w/o a gimbal.
Beautiful video, thanks for not bouncing! It would be PERFECT with minimal verbiage but just foot steps, or very occasional or VERY short explanations.
