PLEASE NOTE: The UK government have announced an increase in fees from 4 October 2023. We discuss this in this article which we update on the first or second day of each month: www.migrate.org.uk/spouse-visa-uk-fees-2019/
Thanks again, Jason! I recently applied for a visitor visa for my partner and was baffled when the "decision has been made" email arrived with no further details. It's good to know I am not the only one!
Hi @FelucyCesar, The priority service unfortunately has been unavailable for Brazil for some time now. This is a decision the Home Office makes on a country by country basis. The availability of the priority service does change over time, so you may decide to check back at a later date. Since we can't predict when the priority service will resume, however, it may be quicker to submit a standard application. I hope the above helps. Kind regards, The Migrate.org.uk team.

Are you supposed to make the biometrics appointment before or after the application is sent? And do you submit supporting documents before or after the biometrics?
Hi @hotdaniel5066, You can only arrange the biometrics appointment after you submit the application. If you choose to self-upload the supporting documentation (which is what we generally recommend), this must be done before the biometrics. I hope the above helps. Hi @zaka2091, The Appendix 2 form is not a general requirement for a spouse visa application. All the best with the application. Kind regards, The Migrate.org.uk team.
Hi, I have a question. Can I fill out the application form and submit it and then later add the supporting documents. If I do, do this, then when will my application be counted as submitted? I have ALL required documents, the only thing I'm waiting for is my English exam which will be in another 2 weeks but that means we'll be reaching another payday and I don't want to be editing the bank statements and wage slips again. So my question is can I submit the application, and most of the supporting documents and then before the biometrics appointment is booked can I quickly upload my English exam results? What date will the application submission be, will it be the day the form is completed and paid for, or will it be when all supporting documents are complete and uploaded? Please reply. I'm worried.
Hi, If I have a visitor visa, and applied for a spouse visa outside UK, am I still allowed to enter UK on the visitor visa, while the other one is pending?

When extending spousal visa from the UK, it's recommended to apply not earlier than 28 days prior to the expiry date this is to meet 2.5+2.5 years to make it eligible for 5 year ILR later. However what if my visa is expiring on 24th Dec and I apply on November 26 (28 days before) and pay for a priority service for 5 working days to get a decision so I can travel for Xmas would that force me to extend twice? Thank you
Hi sir I have some question, regarding with this topic. I used to apply for a uk tourist visa way back 2014 and then I got denied, and now this month I’m planning to apply for a uk fiancé visa. Thank you for all the work you do on these videos, It has been quite overwhelming reading into the processes but these videos streamline everything and answer a lot of questions I have floating around in my head! I will be applying for my wife to visit soon, we are just trying to get the costs together for the fees - With the recent news about costs going up, from your experience with price increases in the past, do you think this is something the government would bring in with no prior warning? or do they generally nominate a date? (they have barely spoken about this but I did read its potentially increasing up to 66%!") I appreciate you might not be able to give an answer but i was just curious about previous price increases!
Hi @jonh1626, You are of course most welcome! I'm glad that you find the videos helpful. Whilst we won't speculate how they will approach this, in the past, visa fees have been increased with immediate effect. In light of the above, you may want to consider submitting the application sooner than later if practical/feasible. Kind regards, The Migrate.org.uk team.
@@MigrateOrgUk This was my concern, considering their reasoning behind the rises, id expect them to do it sooner rather than later! Bad timing! Thanks for the response
Hi @IsraKaulitz, The Immigration Rules states that, to make a partner visa application from inside the UK, the applicant (your partner), cannot be in the UK as a visitor. Therefore, applicants who are in the UK as a visitor will generally be expected to return to their country of nationality (or legal residence) and submit an out-of-country application from there. I hope the above helps. Kind regards, The Migrate.org.uk team.

Hi @clintonamoateng4430, Even if an applicant has previously been refused, they can still apply for the priority service for an out-of-country application. In such a case, both VFS and TLS state that "your application will still be put at the front of the queue at every stage of the decision-making process." However, both VFS and TLS stress that the Home Office may be unable to process the application within the 30-day timescale if there has been a previous UK visa refusal. It's not the case that an applicant who has previously been refused will never receive a decision within 30 days if they pay for the priority service. Rather, depending on the particular circumstances, the application may be less likely to be processed within 30 days. I hope this helps. Kind regards, The Migrate.org.uk team
