This past winter, Republicans had a chance to approve $1.4 billion in border security funding for new guards, virtual borders, drones, lighting, cameras, access roads to crossing locations, etc..

this goes beyond immigration… republicans act like everything was perfect when trump was president and it wasn’t. the economy crashed under trump. jobs went away under trump. inflation started to rise under trump. Supply and demand were out of wack causing all of the above under trump

I worked for a brilliant business owner who would tell me " Don't come to me with a problem, come to me with 2 solutions to a problem". @@montecristo1845 I think they thought that Roe was less popular than it was, that they would do better in the midterms, and that they could then use momentum from Roe's overturn and their planned majority in both House and Senate to push for a federal abortion ban. But then all that blew up in their face, at least partly because of Roe's overturn, so now they have to fear-monger about immigrants and drag queens instead. It would be hilarious, except for the fact that the fallback "plan" is equally disgusting, and that mutes the hilarity.
