New terminal of Guwahati airport to be ready by 2025
Guwahati is all set to get it's all new state of the art airport terminal. To be built at a cost of over Rs 1,650 crore the new terminal would be completed by February 2025. This has been told to Northeast Live by the Chief Airport Officer of Guwahati International Airport Limited Utpal Boruah in an exclusive interview. The new terminal will be having modern International Airport facilities. The existing terminal can presently handle 450 departing passengers per hour. But when the new terminal comes up, the handling capacity will increase to 3300 departing passengers per hour. The vision with which the new terminal is coming up is to make Guwahati a regional hub where any passenger from Guwahati can touch any big city in the country and come back withing 24 hours.
