A really spine-chilling video! I'm surprised the authorities have not blocked off the gap in that crypt. How disrespectful throwing empty drinks cans into other people's resting place!
Magnificent finds here! Those mausoleums and stones are not just memorials to the dead. They are works of art in their own right. How talented those stone masons were because they were not carved by a machine I'm guessing. Thank you so much for these videos, GV and Sue. I really look forward to them.
Hello GV & Sue, This is one of the best kept cemeteries which makes for a pleasant walk around. That mausoleum looked as if vandals had pried the side stones apart just so they could damage the family who were laid to rest and while they were at it they threw their empty beer can at the skulls, disrespectful vandals 💔
Ahh GV, another beautiful tour in a clearly very old churchyard! The first, slightly open crypt was just wonderful. They are all snuggled up together for eternity, how sweet. 😊 The bone on the headstone is not human. Mebbe a disrespectful joke. The headstones are beautiful and covered in lichen, which shows their age and how pure the air is in that area 😊 The child coffins and graves are of course heartbreaking but they are laid to rest in a wonderful place.❤ The birdsong and the afternoon sun makes your tour complete, peaceful and perfect. Thankyou 👍 ❤
Love your video’s! The atmosphere and history of the graves and old buildings. And of course the accent makes it even more special. All the best from the Netherlands! Eric.
On the past not everyone was buried in a box. Some used shrouds. Often a whole family was buried in a crypt. I still say when you're dead you're dead. RIP.
Wow, very interesting. That bone looks awfully thick to be human. I like the idea that the small casket held all remains in the crypt. That would be the respectful thing to do for all the bones found scattered and strewn about in those old mausoleums.
Such history and beauty. So very glad to see that they are looking after these incredible crypts and mausoleums. Thank you so much GV and Sue. Much appreciated xx Teresa 🇦🇺♥
So nice to see people like me who often go to grave yards just to appreciate the beauty of some of the stones, and the history of those who have passed.so glad I found your channel.love from wales
Hi there GV and Sue, what a lovely graveyard. So nice to see that it is being Fixed up. The Tomb stone with St. Patrick was very beautiful and had so much detail. Some beautiful mausoleum's and interesting crypts . I hope in my heart that this woke generation at least could respect the dead. Oh no it was an animal...no twit not with the can next to the skulls.(I discuss with me,myself and I). Well Im glad in my family our tradition is to be cremated. The good old ashes to ashes. Thank you so much for all the hard work you do in order to show us these magnificent places. God bless❤
Love your channel! I have lived in the countryside most of my life in Northern New York. I have fished and hunted, I have hiked paths and mountains and have gone camping many places. I am going to cremated and scattered in the woods back home when I die. Its where I have always felt at peace. Love from Connecticut❤
Thank you for your videos. I truly find them fascinating, whilst listening to your lovely accent. Well, with this one, when I heard the name Aubrey De Vere, my ears really pricked up. In 1836, my GGG grandfather was convicted of murder in County Limerick, along with his brother and one other. Sentenced to hang, their punishment was commuted to transportation to Australia. My ancestor worked for Aubrey De Vere and he was one of many who petitioned for clemency for him. Whilst waiting in a prison hulk, my ancestor was given a full pardon, but he sailed to Australia two days before the pardon would have reached him. He served as a convict in Sydney for 5 years until things were sorted out.
Beautiful Mausoleums+tthe workmanship put into them is truly stunning…the castle one+McArthy are certainly beautiful+poor wee Alice…so sad at such a young age!!! May they all Rest In Peace!!! This is so sad to see, forgotten people. I don't see any flowers on the graves. There must be some family left. People don't care anymore, so sad. I wish you both the best, and stay healthy guys.
Yet another fantastic video - thanks. You are quite correct - visiting these places is all about learning about death. Nobody can escape it, and some of those Crypts are amazing. Those bones have been resting there over 200 years, in total peace. I don't find it creepy or spooky at all, it's all part of the circle of life. Thanks for taking us along and finding these lovely places. Take care 🙂

What an amazing amount of people in that one small crypt. I wonder why it hasn't been closed up properly. That masoleum that looked like a castle was phenomenal, especially because we got to peek inside. Purple is the color of the sacristy. WOW GV you hit a home run on this video The open crypts were amazing As for the bone sitting on the grave looks like a cow bone surly not a human bone looks like to me someone was playing a joke and placed the bone there .. Take care and enjoy your Sunday with Mrs GV
The cloth on the coffin looks brand new. The cloth is purple and doesn’t that stand for royalty? Would that be someone in the head of the church like a pope or someone of royalty? Thanks for sharing this interesting cemetery, and all the history. In the one tomb that you looked in with all the skulls, were all those people originally in caskets or coffins, and they just disintegrated? That’s so sad 😢💔
To me, that looked like an animal bone. It was very thick and quite short. I don’t know where that would be anatomically 🤷🏼♀️ for a human. Great video and Great histoy the fist crypt I think coffins just rotted away and the bones just fell into one another. The scond one I think the same happen so they place their bone in a ossuary and coved it with a new shard that would explain the new lock's on the door. the third is a that is a human femur bone why its there Idon't know perhaps some kid took it out of that third crypt and placed it there if you look at the bones in their they are bleached white like the one on that tumb stone. The Forth cryps that beam I think is the bottem of a coffin and the bones are from more that just rotted away hole is to small for a man to go in it.
Magnificent graveyard! The crypts are especially interesting. Could these be shroud burials? Great walking tour, thank you very much GV and Sue. Take care 😊
Beautiful graveyard and stones! Even in my bad shape I'd crawl in the crypts and clean them out being careful and respectful of the remains. Then get help to close them up again to be sealed. Wow amazing finds as usual. As always stay safe and most of all stay healthy!

Someone needs to come and fill that in. Whoever oversees the cemetery needs to be contacted. Remains could be stolen from it. Animals can get to it. Someone is throwing trash in it. Please fill it in yourself if nobody else will. Please protect that family.
In New Orleans standing in front of a small maybe 2 space mausoleum with a list of twelve names. How? As each member of family die in turn, the casket is removed, the bones are shoved to back where there is an area that drops to recieve remains. Thus maybe 1 or 2 caskets but twelve dead. There are also"oven crypts" in near by walls that can be "rented" for a year. After a year the casket is removed and bony remains are placed in communal "pits".
When something gets in that condition, it is more sensible.Just to fill it in was earth and cap it. It looks like all the mortar in that one structure is basically gone. The other barrel vault is not too far behind. A mason's nightmare..
So glad you found some of my Dads Irish family. ‘Irwin’. Ive been told by some that live in Limerick that still some Irwin’s. There. So sad someone threw trash in the crypt knowing full well there are human remains there. Same here in America. Nice they redid the mausoleum for the mccarthys. My goodness! We’re they ALL buried together then? The scull with the teeth, the eye didn’t seem to have wasted away either! Was just as if it was looking at you both!! So sad to see them all jumbled up like that, and of course some eejit had to throw an empty drinks can in there….such lack of respect angers me. 😡 And then you came across the crypt which had the coffin done up! And draped in a nice purple drape with the sign of the cross embroidered on it……Such a nice act! …..But after the previous mass grave it got me thinking, do you think they have collected up ALL the scattered remains from in there and. Put inside just the one coffin?? Just an idea and a sensible, respectful one.!🤔. Well done both of you..have to rename you Holmes and Watson! 😂 love and light to you both…Helen xx🥰💐
A beautiful work being done to make the graveyard gorgeous...the stone work on the grave stones incredible. I loved the SaintPatrick stone. I sure hope they could gather the remains and put them together in a new coffin and cover it in a beautiful drapery, then seal them all for good. You guys hit a gold mineon this one. To say i enjoyed the video is an understatement. Totally superior with everything. Thanx GV and Sue. You're the best. Love ya guys❤😊❤😊
Thank you GV for another lovely walk. I wasn't shocked. I would have been shocked if instead of bones there would have been someone alive inside the tombs. You know I'm going to ask: What are those cute little white flowers scattered about at this location? 🌻🥀💮
Seems strange there were so many that were just jumbled in there in the raised mound. Wonder if they were interred that way or if vandals messed with them:/ Unfortunately here in the states, many old isolated cemeteries are messed with:/

And then you came across the crypt which had the coffin done up!
I think they all in the one coffin
A beautiful work being done to make the graveyard gorgeous...the stone work on the grave stones incredible. I loved the SaintPatrick stone. I sure hope they could gather the remains and put them together in a new coffin and cover it in a beautiful drapery, then seal them all for good. You guys hit a gold mineon this one. To say i enjoyed the video is an understatement. Totally superior with everything. Thanx GV and Sue. You're the best. Love ya guys❤😊❤😊
What can I say but awesome vid GV 🍀

Hi Abigail good to hear from you I hope you are doing OK x we are getting close and working hard on the content as always
What a nice graveyard with beautiful stones.
Very interesting. So sad that many lost their lives at such young ages.
was there any inscription on the old crypt indicating dates, would be interesting to see the age
It was faded away
Thank you GV for another lovely walk. I wasn't shocked. I would have been shocked if instead of bones there would have been someone alive inside the tombs.
You know I'm going to ask: What are those cute little white flowers scattered about at this location? 🌻🥀💮
No idea to be honest I'm useless with flowers lol
Seems strange there were so many that were just jumbled in there in the raised mound. Wonder if they were interred that way or if vandals messed with them:/ Unfortunately here in the states, many old isolated cemeteries are messed with:/
