bro just wanna say you were a massive part of the reason I started riding, love your videos and can't wait to see what is coming and the future of the channel. Also got a f4i for my first bike!
660 doesn't have the aftermarket support, or as many well documented examples for working on the bike. Sourcing parts and taking responsibility for maintenance will be much easier with the R7. A simple bike with several years in production makes a great platform for riders that will push the bike hard. There's a reason track guys and stunters love it. Was a big reason I just chose it over the 660 or 8s. 660 does have a nice torque range so if happy to pay the dealership for maintenance, or really wanting the gadgets it can make sense.
Man outta all the 1000s I like the R1 the most. It sounds insane with a full system, looks damn great, can't say I regret getting my gen 3 hayabusa but I def know what I'm aiming for as my second bike.
i think the r7 is best for someone thats a bit smaller , i’m around 150lbs and the power to weight ratio is perfect . You can definitely notice a significant difference in power if you are riding with someone and their your backpack
Back in the day i went from an R6 (1999) to the R1 (2000) and i had to sell her pretty much after one season. It felt way to heavy for my build where the R6 i could proper chuck it about and it felt way more comfortable in the corners..
as someone who has a 23 r7 i have to say i agree w a lot of your points. Although it may not be the fastest bike out there it is certainly a fun one considering you can really push it to its limits without going that fast
Stock suspension is a pogo stick, but the R7 is the best track bike by far. $600 fixes the suspension, throw a system on it, throw rearsets and clip ons on it, put the quickshifter on it, yoshi airbox, get it tuned, delete abs = all of this for less than the price of an R1 exhaust+tune. Then proceed to be faster than every big bike on track and giggle as you pass them. Great bike.
How much is your insurance?? I tried to get one yesterday and 3 different agency’s tried to tell me it would be $360 a month. I’m 25 with 0 points on my license
Once you get cold it takes forever to get back warmed up. I'm from Ohio so I rode in 28 degree weather and dang it gets to you. Winter months sucks around here. I ride pretty much all year round as long as snow isn't deep. I need to get heated grips. R7 is the MT07 with fairings. I have the MT09 and rain mode works in the snow, feels like a dirt bike on steroids. Thanks for sharing 👍
R1 and R6 are the best bikes for the track hands down for experienced riders, a 300/400 is a great first bike and track bike that's a cheaper option. R7 can't compete with the R6 if rider skill is the same. This is a fact around the track and racing, my information differs from those doing straight line freeway runs and many won't like that. A lot of people go for big bikes then crash months later because people say "you'll be fine" until a turn comes up or you have to emergency brake or swerve. Don't let your ego get in the way, grind on that 400 if you're a new rider then bump up. I've seen 400's pass R1's, it's all skill. The 1000's ain't going no where, and they're overkill for the streets, take your time if you're new and honestly the FZ09 is a great street bike. Wish more content creators would use their platform to push the correct information, this is coming from someone who races at an expert level so I can speak on this. Ride safe, everyone!
Just bought a '21 Kawi 636. Feels just as light as a 400 in the corners, and it's the fastest in its class. Also has a quickshifter stock. Kawi 636 is the best dedicated track bike IMO
Youre by far the best and most humble motorcycle youtuber there is. I love you bro😂❤. These kinds of videos we need. I got a h2, zh2, gen 3 busa, mt10, zx6r 2020, gsxr1000k7 and gsxr750k10. And now i need something toootally different but fun. But just like you know, we ride the ultimate bikes, and i cant find no other video of someone who ownes something like an h2 reviewing an r7. Thanks bro.
I’m a bigger/taller guy like you (6’4” 230) and my SV650 sucks on the highway too. Feels like it dances underneath you every time it gets hit by a gust.
For a person of your size, please remember the upgrade path of what ever you get is. Protection then SUSPENSION set up to you then breaks then....then motor upgrades.
I would say the r7 is a bit less of a beginner bike especially for a smaller rider, from 0-60 it’s faster than the r6 in many cases bc of the low down torque and gearing
R7s gets so much hate it has a good amount of power to have fun and sounds great You don't need a 1000 If you have an r7 be proud of your bike and have fun forget the haters
With that ride u must have comms men, or u should try a dual vlog like for example, her 1st impression on Rain while riding it and ur 1st impression on the R7 while riding it. Just a suggestion for the channel. Keep hustlin' bro 🤙🏼👌🏼 #fastlaneD #fastlanegang #roadto1mil #baaayyybbbyyyyy
Starting on a 600 with modes was def best choice I’ve made. I started on a Yamaha R6 “600cc 2019” model. Had only 500miles on it, bought it brand new basically. Has close to 3k miles now probably even more I havnt checked… My experience with it: Have owned it since October 2023. Been riding for about 6months now, thankfully no drops… thankfully no falls…, it’s honestly been perfect. At first I rode everyday, getting used to it and getting more “skilled” not “comfortable” as comfort leads to mistakes… I’m always very vigilant and ride very conservative on the road. I live in busy SOCAL - Los Angeles, a smaller beach city named el Segundo. I typically do not ride to work and only ride on days off now for anywhere between 4-7 hours on average each day I have off. So basically riding all day. I ride from redondo to Santa Monica and sometimes take highways… I’ve always been interested in riding and have never rode dirt bikes only jetskies which weirdly are very similar to riding motorcycles in regards to “physics” and how both machines work. Id recommended a 600cc to anyone who is comfortable on a 400cc and would recommended to only use B mode for first 3-6months of riding. I have had to take it out of B mode and I’ve probably hit close to 130MPH. Speed isn’t my thing really I just love the look and nimble ness of a superbike. I don’t care about making content or going 160-180+ on highways with pot holes anyways, just not my thing personally… I took my MFS course rode a rebel 300, waited a year and didn’t ride anything - only watched videos “thousands of videos & hundreds of hours”. By the time I got my R6 from Del amo motorsports in Long Beach I had it delivered because I didn’t want to jump on a freeway coming home. Once it was delivered it sat for about a week and I took it down the street on my first ever ride… After that I was hooked. Have had 2-3 close calls, however no issues that couldn’t be controlled - watch Dan Dan Fireman. It really helps with situational awareness and your “logical reasoning” and how to respond to specific situations. I’ve watched almost every video from him, and I also feel like I’ve been able to do anything I’ve set my mind to because I feel like I’m also gifted with picking things up easily… Be safe, best of luck! You won’t ever know until you try.
My personal opinion of the R7 is that it is a great sounding bike good in corners comfortable & a great daily bike but, at the end of the day it is still a V-Twin. I ride my 2008 650R ninja as a daily ,and love the 80hp it gives me, and still has good torch but, if I want to do a track day I take the 600RR or the gsxr 750R. The 4 cylinder is a completely different animal ,and on a lot of tracks you can dominate 1000's .... at least till ya hit the straights 🤣🤣🤣
I laughed when she mentioned S1K as a follow up bike, because I was like wait girl are you sure? After you ride the R1M you might think different. 😆 Even if you get a bigger bike, you get used to the power of that as well. 😆It's and endless loop. 😆 As for a track bike you wanted, I think bikes like the ZX6R, R6, CBR RR, GSX-R or even a RS660 or a 765 or 675 Triumph can be great options as well.
Not having the quickshifter on some bikes or one of can be a good thing lol so having to ride the "old school" way every once in awhile keeps you honest ha -also, I'd suggest a 600 for a track bike w/you being a bigger guy and used to speed
Just picked up the r7 last month. I'm a new rider, can you explain how you are riding without both hands? If I let off the throttle I have a ton of engine breaking

Ibwas thinking the same thing
Most definitely 😂

lol FastLaneD might be a bit big for it but bro that girl is too small for it :D Bike is made for 175-180 skinny guys lmao
bro just wanna say you were a massive part of the reason I started riding, love your videos and can't wait to see what is coming and the future of the channel. Also got a f4i for my first bike!
At that price point I’d consider the RS660. That’s a super fun bike on the track.
And everything about the 660 is better. So many more stock options come on it. And from the handlebars and windscreen looks like a 1k.
heard the reliability is trash
660 doesn't have the aftermarket support, or as many well documented examples for working on the bike. Sourcing parts and taking responsibility for maintenance will be much easier with the R7. Most people don't know how to properly adjust the suspension is also part of the problem. Out of the box the suspension is not dialed well.
Just bought my ‘24 R7 and I’m totally addicted to riding it. Sick seeing it featured here and gives me ideas on mods🤘🏼🤘🏼
How much is your insurance?? I tried to get one yesterday and 3 different agency’s tried to tell me it would be $360 a month. I’m 25 with 0 points on my license
Literally was minutes away from buying it and I just couldn’t because I refuse to pay that much just for insurance
Man same I got my 24 R7 2 weeks ago
Cool to see people living and loving the bike life. Riders are of a different species.
Great content D , love the girl riding your bike. That is how you spread the love.
Yeah you spread that love brother. Spread it spread it.

Yamaha R6 08 and up. Kawi 636 2013 and up or gsxr750 06 and up best ones for track.
R7 is the best bike evveerrrr.... don't kill yourself on litre bikes and just have fun on this baby 😎
R7 comes rather corked from the factory. The bike wakes up a bit on the hwy with a full exhaust, intake, and a solid tune

Honestly everyone should start on a 400 on track to build skill.
It's not meant to compete against a R6 soo....
U sure? Gotta do your research.@@Brett4517
Would something like Yamaha champ riding school after 1k miles on a ninja500 be the move to prepare me to be able to move up in displacement faster ?
Just bought a '21 Kawi 636. Feels just as light as a 400 in the corners, and it's the fastest in its class. Also has a quickshifter stock. Kawi 636 is the best dedicated track bike IMO

He said the r7 isnt a highway bike as if there isnt people like me on 400 on the highway.
he rides a 1k its not a shock he wants something with superpowers. i love the R7 it was my DREAM BIKE when i got it and love riding it everytime
