    This is my first bike. I enjoy it a lot, I’ve taken it to 115 on the highway without trying to make it go faster (that was fast enough for me), and it got there effortlessly. I am more of a twisty roads guy. Our highways aren’t really straight either a lot of curves so it works.

    The only problem I've had with the R7 is price. Used these bikes are 7 grand. And insurance isn't cheap if you're a new rider.
    That's the only faults I can give this bike though. If you have the money and really want this I'd go for it. But it is a lot of money to invest into one bike.

    • @ThatGhostR7
      @ThatGhostR7  3 месяца назад +10

      @@dylanarchangel2673 got to agree with this one. Very expensive bike for no reason, and very expensive to insure especially in the UK. I reckon it’s because of how new the bike is though. Prices should go down eventually

      @@ThatGhostR7 Depends on a lot of things. Mainly, how often the bike is stolen or crashed, what area you're in. etc. It's varies with insurance just based on your location.
      Example. Me as a new rider, one years no Claims Bonus, was quoted for £3,000+ for a years worth of insurance on a USED 2020 model of the R7. As much as I wanted this bike I just couldn't do it. Granted, this would've been my first 'big bike' after my 125. I've since moved towards the CBR650R 2019. It's a Sports Tourer, so you get decently cheap insurance even at Comprehensive.

      @@ThatGhostR7 I say that just as I switched options LMAO! Found a decent deal on a MT-07, and funny enough somehow insurance isn't as bad on the MT as the R7.
      The guy also already has it A2 restricted which I'm currently on the A2 license. Going to see it tomorrow! Quite excited, love the crossplane engine sound.

    • @williamlu4394
      @williamlu4394 2 месяца назад

      I feel like the R7 is a newbie trap, beginners upgrade from 300cc and be like 'ah yes, torque'. It has a horrible engine for its cc/price and the only reason it's so popular is because it has more appeal on social media, than in person where it looks like an r6 withdrawing from crack. A used Street Triple A2/660 is considerably cheaper, and 90+hp via $150 bluetooth ECU dongle vs. 70hp via expensive derestriction on r7, is not even a contest. Commuter bike for poser squids especially in its Special-Clap-Project-without-baffle form. Tbh I loved the R7 before I actually knew anything about motorbikes, but now I understand it to be a new-age fake-Harley-sounding meme-like existence that somehow won't die off, to impress people who know nothing about bikes, whose owners enjoy pretending to be fast on the highway whilst too scared to lean beyond 15 degrees yet blowing the eardrums off everyone around them, rather than improving their riding in the twisties. It appears the American cancer had also become malignant in the UK.

      @@ThatGhostR7 do you have any socials where you can see the wrap well? Is there a name to the wrap that you have next to the white? It looks amazing, my next bike is an R7 and this is the cleanest I’ve seen, would love to know some details so I could get mine wrapped similarly. Thanks in advance! 😁

      @@HvrryLife Your clutch doesn't wear out by pulling it in mate, when the engine and transmission are disconnected there's no wear on any component, when they get matched is when the clutch disc gets worn, and then, it is actually what it's designed for.
