For over 40 years now, I've always stuggled with those pesky yellow-black alternating colors on the primary and alternating ejection handles and now **BOOM** 30 seconds later and I now have an AMAZING method at my disposal to make them (at least the alternating handle :-)!! I SO appreciate these extraordinary guides and tips! I cannot thank you enough! Your work is stunning and videos are informative, easy to understand and they tend to hold one's attention. Thank you so very much!!!
So many guys here on youtube, who thinking they are modelers, but they produce trash for garbade, but you are a really perfect example of a good modeler, the whole way of making your videos i like, you give informations beside your build, like air pressure, nozzle, what kind of colour, the mixing ratio and always copy of the instruction plan, please stay in this way and make many more videos like this, i would appreciate it so much. Cheers from Germany
This is an anonymous post, so I have nothing to gain by saying this. I am a IPMS National award winning modeler and I am happy to say that I can still learn and be motivated by others in this hobby. The method you used for the ejection curtain blows me away. I have spent decades perfecting the painting of these things, and apparently it was all for not. Thanks!
I just learned more new detailing idea's and techniques that I'm guessing are completely your original idea's (no matter, I've never seen many of them before) and the result was an out of box cockpit that is BEAUTIFUL my friend. Love the format using instructions super imposed as you build along with what paint mixes, colors, what type of air brush, air pressure etc. Best scale modeling production value on your video's I've seen on a modeling video on you tube. Your skills are fantastic and you have just moved into my top 5 favorite You Tube channels of ALL TIME! Thanks for sharing, I'll never miss one of your video's. Great stuff !!
You know it's gonna be a good day when ya see scale-a-ton has uploaded a new video. As always, a pleasure, and inspiration to watch a master at work. :)
Excellent insight as to the build of this kit. I've had the itch to build an F4C in Robin Old's markings representing his lead in the Thai Nguyen Steel Mill raid of March 1968. I now have the kit to do it!
I love the new format or rearrangement of the info! LOVE IT!! as usual the best you tube teaching video about this wonderful hobby; keep up the excellent work!
Bloody awesome! Appreciate the ratios and air pressure info. For someone getting back into this hobby it is great. I will be using this as a guide for my SU-27 build. I have subscribed.
Love the ejection handles technique! Found this because I have a Hasegawa USN F4J kit on the way. Going to use that technique for sure. I also love that you got results this good with kit parts. It's rare to see such a clean result without resin and PE parts. Well done!
Awesome..I've been watching lots of build videos but this is another league. The ejection handles was mind blowing! Your now on my Patreon pledge list :-)
love what you are doing , I am mainly into sailing ship's . but I do have a go at plane's , learn something new off of you everytime . which make's modeling a whole lot more fun , thank's .
Brilliant. When I saw you painting half the wire black and half yellow I suspected it was going to be the pull handles. Didn't know how you were actually going to make them though!
Looks really good my friend. I can see why there is so much controversy about Z.M. kits. For $75 in a 1/48 scale I want a PE safety harness and instrument panels. And only ONE decal call out? Sorry not on my wish list. Thank you as always and LOVE your builds and seeing you progress compared to when I first started watching your channel.
When you are replacing the Black and Yellow Ejection Seat "Handles" with Painted Copper Wire, do you have any problems with the Paint "Cracking" or "Flaking" off when you twist it???
Must have missed something but what happened to the checkerboard paint job on the stabilizers ? Besides that what else can I say ? Perfect. Masterpiece. Awesome. Your skills can be compared to those of a swiss watchmaker.
Scale-a-ton What a great idea for making the yellow and black ejection handles. They look better than even the PE ones! Do you know what size or gauge of wire you used for them? Keep up the great work. You are a very talented and awe-inspiring modeler.
Thanks a lot! Mouse, speaker and headphone cables are good source for gathering various diameter copper wires. I take and use one of that looks right. Don't know sizes
As always, I'm blown away with your work, and always learn something new. But could you explain the "stretched sprue?" Are you heating then stretching or what?
You need a heat source (lighter etc.) attach one end of the sprue to something like a vice, carefully heat and pull with your other hand. Heat and stretch as you go. That's the way I've done it, sure there are other ways
Amazing attention to detail! One thing that puzzles me is the small amount of glue you use. It doesn't look like enough to hold things together, but it obviously works. What kind of adhesive it that? A CA glue?
Outstanding!!!! Great new format. I love the Phantom, one of my all time favorites. Looking foreword to the finished product...what paint scheme you gonna go with?
It's cheaper than thinners and works with Tamiya and Gunze acyrlics perfectly. If you don't build 20+ models per year like me, go with original thinners.

Thanks!
Excellent techniques shown here. Man that dry brushing on the side controls really made that detail POP!

Love the new format! Much easier to know what you are using this way vs the way you used to do it! Great job and thanks...;)
Absolutely incredible work. Craftsmanship worthy of a Faberge egg. Simply stunning.
Your model building videos are the best and most informative on RUclips. Love them!
You make it look so easy. It’s anything but that. Awesome job! And I love the background music!
You certainly have set the highest standards in model building and video presentation, amazing all around!
You know it's gonna be a good day when ya see scale-a-ton has uploaded a new video. As always, a pleasure, and inspiration to watch a master at work. :)
You do beautiful work, my brother. I learn something from every video I watch. Keep up the fine work.
That copper wire thing for the ejection handles...GENIUS
Enjoying your builds very much. Now for part 2, can't wait.
Excellent insight as to the build of this kit. I've had the itch to build an F4C in Robin Old's markings representing his lead in the Thai Nguyen Steel Mill raid of March 1968. I now have the kit to do it!
That ejection seat alone is better than any kit I`ve EVER made. FML.
twobyfour aye, the quality of some of these guys make me wonder why I even bother to build sometimes.
Twist the yellow and black wire, it's brilliant.🚧
I like the way with the parts of the instructions displayed in...
I love the new format or rearrangement of the info! LOVE IT!! as usual the best you tube teaching video about this wonderful hobby; keep up the excellent work!
Awesome painting love your videos
Instrument panel painting was brilliant. Will have to try some of those techniques myself
Absolutely incredible. Love the technique You Used for ejection pull Handles.
Stephen Smith Agree. It is one of those things where you see it and think, so simple why didn't I think of that.
Love the format, always great to see a new video, cant wait for the next part.
great new format. by far the best on youtube. well.done
Bloody awesome! Appreciate the ratios and air pressure info. For someone getting back into this hobby it is great. I will be using this as a guide for my SU-27 build. I have subscribed.
Liking the graphics at the top. Very neat.
Level of detail is jaw dropping.
Amazing level of details it look awesome
make everything easy, with a great video ... big passion

Excellent build and paintwork, and those ejection handles! Brilliant :-)
skills talent and great imagination. solved that pesky ejection seta handle issue to perfection thanks for sharing keep up the bueautiful work

The ejecta pull handles brilliant will have to try that, great detail
Stunning work love the new format
I Love The New Intro and my Favourite Jet The F-4 Phantom
Awesome..I've been watching lots of build videos but this is another league. The ejection handles was mind blowing! Your now on my Patreon pledge list :-)
Thank you very much for your support for the channel Nick!
Can hardly wait for the next part!
love what you are doing , I am mainly into sailing ship's . but I do have a go at plane's , learn something new off of you everytime . which make's modeling a whole lot more fun , thank's .
Fantastic work as always!
I just finished the Revell version myself and wrapping up my video series on it. Its always a challenge painting this model.
great video made me go out and buy this kit just to build alone
Always learn something new!
it is always amazing to see your work, regards from Mexico.
Brilliant. When I saw you painting half the wire black and half yellow I suspected it was going to be the pull handles. Didn't know how you were actually going to make them though!

Im currently doing the Revell version. Any F-4 is always a fun challenge.
When you are replacing the Black and Yellow Ejection Seat "Handles" with Painted Copper Wire, do you have any problems with the Paint "Cracking" or "Flaking" off when you twist it???
Awesome job!!! waiting for the continue...
Top Video, top Musik, top model, top build. It is awesome 👍👌👏👏

Always amazed by your attention to detail - great job!

Fantastico,come sempre.grande.grazie.bye silvio.
Muy buen trabajo y una gran maqueta.
Exellent work and presentation!
Ejection handles... I know, few guys before me commented, but I just HAD TO!!!! THANKS 😊😀🙆🙇!
What gauge of copper wire did you use for the ejection seat handles? Your way is brilliant and I'll be doing that method on my Hornet and Phantom!
Had the same question and was hoping for an answer....
Amazing work - technical question - why do you sometimes use leveling thinner and sometimes isopropyl alcohol?
Astonishing !
Absolutely great presentation and really helps us newbies. Are there subsequent parts to this??
Thank you! I think it will be completed in the next part. It will be a little longer, but better than a boring "gluing/sanding/gluing/sanding" video.
So looking forward to your release of Part 2!
By the way, what is the gauge of the wire you used?
Awersome work 👍
Finally the Phantom...
Must have missed something but what happened to the checkerboard paint job on the stabilizers ?
Besides that what else can I say ? Perfect. Masterpiece. Awesome. Your skills can be compared to those of a swiss watchmaker.
Me likes the twisty wires! Me wants to try that!
Ellerinize sağlık, mükemmel olmuş.
what kind of paint brush are you using in this video , very nice work by the way
Scale-a-ton What a great idea for making the yellow and black ejection handles. They look better than even the PE ones! Do you know what size or gauge of wire you used for them? Keep up the great work. You are a very talented and awe-inspiring modeler.

You need a heat source (lighter etc.) attach one end of the sprue to something like a vice, carefully heat and pull with your other hand. Heat and stretch as you go. That's the way I've done it, sure there are other ways
Hi! Super great video! I've a question, why do you use sometimes IPA and sometimes Mr Hobby Leveling Thinner for the same paint type (Acrylics) ?
Do you use a paint booth, if so, which one? Thanks.
top... awesome video
Amazing attention to detail! One thing that puzzles me is the small amount of glue you use. It doesn't look like enough to hold things together, but it obviously works. What kind of adhesive it that? A CA glue?
Thanks a lot! It's MEK but Tamiya's new Quick Setting is works like that too.
Very Nice
대단 하십니다...멋져요 ^^.
uf diyorum, kutudan çıkan decal olacaksa kuyrukla şahane duracak hayvan.
Excellent video!...Love the copper wire trick.....what gauge wire do you use?
Those are from an old earphone cables. No idea about the gauge
@@Scaleaton Interesting...thanks for replying...going to try 28 guage....
Outstanding!!!! Great new format. I love the Phantom, one of my all time favorites. Looking foreword to the finished product...what paint scheme you gonna go with?
Thank you! I will use the decal set comes with the kit.
Subscribed - great stuff.
What gull gray wash did you use or make up from?
You need to sell strands of that ejection seat wire in bulk
Великолепно, мастер.
Super!!!
working with epoxy like its puff pastry, good job :D
KitchenAid would be better :D
Hello great video when will you be doing part 2 ??? as im building along with you
thank you Bill
Hello Bill, I am working on it. It will be completed after "Gustav Comprasion" video series. Probably in the first half of April. Have a great day!
Amazing work. What gauge is the ejection cabling?
I use the thinnest gauge I can find. I stripped a old mouse cable.
Tökéletes ! ( Perfect )
Fantastic stuff! Just noticed one small thing; is the pilots right side shoulder strap buckle missing?
Thank you! Yes that's what comes with the kit. Zoukei-mura sells some details like "DLC" for their kits.
You have the patience of a monk
Outro grande video, obrigado!
for the instrument pannel what was the exact paint?
Awesome!
Hi tell me please why you use isopropyl alcohol when painting and he is better than thinner. Thanks
It's cheaper than thinners and works with Tamiya and Gunze acyrlics perfectly. If you don't build 20+ models per year like me, go with original thinners.
Nice!
alot off EDIT work in your movies, BIG PLUS for you !!!!!
You're so skilled it almost pisses me off.
what do you use for dry brushing?
Mr Color Steel. But it's from my previous build. Fresh or excess amount of paint cause paint chipping and metallic effect. Be careful!
hmmm good
