- Hey everyone! I’ve decided to post a video showing my morning routine. Not much has changed on how I put my teeth in, or do my makeup... so here’s a not so epic update!

Mmm extensions. #hairgoals I’m with you on the clean slate. I look all blahhh till I’m done. Some days I can’t be bothered, and some days it’s a full face of drag makeup. Most days it’s in the middle lol. I’m not judging!

Last night I had my dentures in for 13 hours before I had to take them out. That's how good secure denture adhesive is. My lower jaw has lots of bone loss and gums are not much there. I ate gummy bears last night and today I had some sunflower seeds in the shell and had no problem eating any of them.

i work as a surgical tech in a hospital and i am about to start my journey also, just a little tip- put a old towel or paper towel in the bottom of the sink while cleaning just in case you'd drop them it would decrease the chance of breaking them!!
I’ve been lucky knock on wood! I had a couple close calls. I do things much different these days. They go from mouth to cup in 2 seconds. The safe zone! You got this!

In 2 weeks I am beginning the initial extractions. I am so scared and anxious and nervous and any other adjective you could think of. I don't know ANYONE that has gone through this so I am so so happy to have found your video. Thank you doesn't seem enough, but, thank you for posting this.

I’m so glad it was able to help some!!!! I was so curious about this process before doing it, and I wanted to help the next person. It’s really not as bad as we will make it in our head, going into this.
I have been using secure denture adhesive for 2 years now they are zinc free on my lowers, and I can keep them in for about 10 hours. I use poligrip powder on the uppers which is zinc free also. I love the secure denture adhesive alot.
I’ve heard a lot about secure. Do you get the initial burn when you put them in?
@@MyReason2smile the first time I put the adhesive on my lower dentures I spread a thin layer on and put them in and it had a warm sensation for just a second. That's all and it was just the first time.
I had my uppers done in 1995 I had 15 teeth pulled at once and then the intermediate teeth put in. I had my lowers done in 2018 I had all the lowers surgically removed due to bone loss. The powder adhesives didn't work for the bottom neither did most of the cream adhesive. When I found the secure denture adhesive for the lower denture I will not go back to the other adhesives. I now have the upper and lower dentures permanent dentures. I am 60 years old. I was 36 years old when I got my uppers.

Hey beautiful!!! Good morning! I’ve got a couple ideas for some videos coming soon. Finally some inspiration. I wish you didn’t have a bone spur :( that makes me sad. I don’t like most people to feel any pain. Doctor probably knows best.... I try to follow their advice, unless I’m being stubborn per usual lol

The bonespur I hope they don't have to do surgery they had to surgically take one out after my E day and I was not happy about that But oh what a relief to get it out of there I hope this one doesn't come down to that thanks for the reply my friend your inspirations I'm sure will be great can't wait to see it stay safe and be blessed
I just found your videos and I am hooked! You are gorgeous and I love your personality! I have an appt. tomorrow with the dentist and I am going to tell him I am ready to get the rest of these teeth out and get dentures. Long story short I have had nothing but problems with my teeth for the last ten years. I only have 18 left as all my back teeth top and bottom have already been extracted. Now I have three more cracked teeth and one broke off down to the gum line. I'm tired of being in pain. Anyways thank you so much for giving me the courage to start this process! ❤️❤️

How long do they take to actually stick seems very quick in the video. And you didn’t have to hold them in place. And lastly, how tight do they feel? Like do they ever feel like they can still fall out when talking or eating once the adhesive is set?
Are you still using fixodent on your bottoms ? Do you add it during the day ? It is horrible when food gets mixed with it isnt it ? Take care.

Okay Kayla, talk to me about DenSureFit. Do you use it and what’s your feedback on it over traditional adhesives. Getting my new dentures at 11:00am Tuesday morning!!! Can’t wait, well I can, I’m still nervous as hell but it’s happening anyway
Hey! So I never used all the product they sent me. I have a ton of it, but off principle on what the company stands for I declined. It may work, but I don’t know from personal experience. I’m excited for you! Congrats on the new journey. It’s okay to be nervous, you’d be weird if you weren’t lol
@@MyReason2smile - What’s your preferred adhesive? My Prosthodontist tells me i have small gum ridges and he’s sure I’ll need to use an adhesive or DenSureFit

I’m liking it so far. I haven’t managed to get the right amount without it leaking out the back. Today I used too little and they weren’t perfectly secure. Glad you were able to laugh! I’m all about humor!

This is my third video I have watched of yours thank you so much for making them I appreciate you so much. I have been doing videos on and off for quite a few years mostly I'm makeup and skincare and doggies and stuff like that I have talked about some surgeries I've had and some other issues but that's about it with the personal stuff. Never once has anybody ever seen you smile in my last few years of videos. I am because of your videos I think I am going to actually make a video today talking about how I just got dentures and why and I'm scared to death to do it I don't know why that you're inspiring mean and I know if I don't do it today it I probably won't I'm only on day 5 so I'm still talking funny I haven't been able to eat all right so anyway you know what thank you again I'm definitely going to do a video today before I chicken out and tell everybody I hop dentures and talk about why I got them my videos won't be as good as yours but like I said you

I’m glad you’re ok with my rambling self! The world needs as many voices, experiences, and stories as possible. This isn’t a secluded thing you know? It’s all over the world! You can literally reach someone in China, and help them. That’s why it’s so worth it. I would love to see the video! I’ll be looking for it over the next couple days. You deserve to smile. Also, this portion of the process is super helpful. You can actually show your speech and how you progress with time. It’s an awesome thing to do. I try hard to put myself out there. Take me or leave me is what I tell myself. You absolutely deserve a smile love! I applaud you and making videos. You’ll be able to reach someone you will never meet, and change their life. Go for it!

@@MyReason2smile the top no pain but on the bottom I had a broken tooth with a long root so he had to really dig in there , only my lower jaw is swollen. Looks like I got a gumball in there lol. But watching your journey and tips makes me confident it gets better on this denture adventure!
How did you like the new adhesive you show in this video? Did you ever order the Secure adhesive? You Have been a fountain of information so I thought I better check with you before trying something new.

I’ve stopped using it again lol. I was basically using it as a crutch? Like I don’t need it at all. The adhesive in the video is still very very good though!

Awesome! I’ll take a soul sister! You’re so sweet. My dentist told me not to sleep in them. The mouth needed at least 8 hours a day to rest, and self clean. So I’ve followed that.... for the most part. There was a period of time that I was staying with a co worker, and I didn’t take them out at night for a long time. He found my videos and said I could be comfortable where I lay my head. Since then, I do not wear them at night. Other than someone seeing you, what’s the point? None. Free gum girl! You deserve it lol

Do you know that Fixodent has Zinc in it? Which is not good for us. I did my research, so I am using Poligrip, it's Zinc free.
I know :( I wish they wouldn’t. Poligrip just doesn’t work for me. I’ve tried!

I need to. I haven’t tried it yet. I’ve been loyal to the old zinc factory fixodent!
I bought the secure denture adhesive online 8 tubes and they cost me around $5.99 each tube. Total cost plus tax was around $54.00. one tube will last me for a month. I keep one tube in my purse. Oh, I use a qtip to spread the adhesive on my lower denture into a thin layer.

Are they temps, or perms? That will make a huge difference. I don’t have to use adhesive on my perms, but I choose too. It’s just easier

For me I have found using 2 different kinds of fixodent's in my own pattern is best for me
I do love some fixodent. I’m going to give them a little call and see if they’re willing to adopt me lol! A lot of people are using the paste, powder combo! Whatever you need to get them to stay cemented down babe!
