For some reason I always keep forgetting that no additional tools are required and you can just use the key that you pull out. Getting the battery out of the packaging usually takes longer then replacing it lol. Great vid.

Great thank you. It worked ecactly as per your instructions. People, be firm when pressing the key to push into the slot which pops the back off and don't be afraid as it takes a little force before it pops. My little tip.

Hey I recently washed my key fob and dried it! This solved the issue. I simply opened it and noticed condensation within the battery and the board and I just sprayed it with compressed air and wiped it down with tissue. Comfort access working and car is turning on! Thank you!

Did you know, when you bought your BMW it comes with two stickers, "1 & 2" that you can apply to the top-back of the fob so you know which fob presets are saved for each one, seat, mirrors, nav maps views, etc, super convenient if there's more than one driver; just open door and everything auto-adjusts...

changed both BMW batteries on 2 key fobs and both fobs fought me putting the back cover on, they didn't just click on like in this vlog....it took about 15 minutes to finesse the cover back on.

Hi Brian and many thanks for this video! Took me 30 secs to replace the battery indeed. Did nit use a flathead screwdriver tho, used the pointy side of the battery door (the plastic panel). Battery comes out without any resistance so I do not think there is a chance to break it.

What is the problem? What is so remarkable about it? There is no influence on the size of the fob. And the weight of the BMW fob is more likely to be regarded als too light than too heavy? I bigger battery lasts longer before you have to replace it.

Hi, I replaced the batteries of my two fobs (F30) after one of them made a warning pop up. A few weeks later, this fob still makes the car give the same warning.
