I ordered mine today. I got my car programmed by a guy two years ago. Never knew about this. Have been looking to order this for a while. I am already excited lol. I listen to music very loud and I forget to lower it for the morning. Lol my niece wakes up dancing early morning coz of my loud music. Hahaha

I had a button I could hit, but couldn't understand why there was an option to make it automatic. I watched your video, bought the Veepeak adapter and Bimmercode app for about $65. I had it set up in 10 minutes! Wonder what BMW would have charged lol. Thanks again!
The newest version of the application supports more functionality on more vehicles, but requires the UniCarScan Bluetooth OBD adapter or the ODBLink adapter for some features, such as Brake Force Display on a G01 X3 for example.

Interesting topic - what mode to start the car in. I have an M4 and i find eco mode warms the oil up quicker? Sport and Sport+ must change the temperature that the oil thermostat opens, and it definitely runs cooler.

Great video! I'm new to bmw. Are there any risks involved in coding your car? To me it seems like a way to "jailbreak" your car just like people do to phones. I suppose you brake the warranty...? Could you potentially ruin something? Like, if you lose connection in the midst of rewriting coding.

Hey John, many thanks for this very informative vid. I like the idea of simple and safe ECU mods because I want to reprogram out many of the annoying boring default features of my car. The only thing is, that I've spent a lot of money (with a renowned firm) on a remap to get my 435d from 310bhp up to 400bhp already. I've gathered from this vid that the bimmercode will reset to factory settings before adding any new features so I would assume that it would wipe out the remap I've already had installed before updating my new preference. Is this the case? Would I end up losing the newly gained power just to, for example, turn off the auto start/stop function or door opening functions? Thanks in advance...
I’m not entirely sure tbh, I can however say..my car is tuned with bm3. And when I code features it does not effect my tune at all. I would suggest asking the people that tuned your car, and gather their thoughts

Is anyone aware how to code door handle LED’s to stay on for the period you’ve coded welcome lights to stay on for ? (60 seconds). Mine go off after 10-20 max :( can’t find an answer anywhere!! The same for the low beam headlight, can that be coded to stay on for longer with welcome lights? Switches off after 20 seconds and looks silly !

You can check on the Bimmercode website for a list of approved OBDII scan tools. They no longer recommend any of the V-gate wifi or bluetooth models. I got the Veepeak OBDCheck BLE which worked well. I used it on a tablet and avoided my phone. Be sure to have in Airplane mode while programming. Also be aware that one needs the upgraded version of the Bimmercode app.
Great video. Question: I had bad internal wiring on my right xenon headlight. 2008 E93 328i. I bought a new assembly but the hi low bulb still does not work. I tested with drivers harness and it does. I was told it needs a relay reset. Will this app do this or will it have to be in expert mode. I have been trying 6 months to get this headlight functioning. I even bought a BMW coding hard drive for a laptop but the tutorial is blurred.

Appreciate the tutorial. Super awesome. I purchased bimmercode and coded some functions I wanted, is there a reason why a function wouldn’t work when being activated?. I activated the folding mirrors open/closed automatically when locking and opening the doors. It states active on my app but nothing happens. I still have to fold the mirrors manually. Any ideas?
I noticed that you mention Kies Motorsports. I own a 2018 X1 F48. It's a 2 litre twin scroll Turbo 4 that produces 228 HP and 248 TQ. I'm interested in the Burger Motorsports JB4 Tuner and a CAI. Do you need to have this unit plugged in to the ODBII port all the time. What do you do when you're vehicle is under warranty and you need service at a BMW dealer? Do they give you a hard time?
For the comfort opening/closing. I have mine set up just like you have yours but mine won't fold the mirrors in with the key fob. Only if I lock the car from the door handle. Know what else I can try? And the comfort closing start delay is set to no delay as well

Greetings. I just had a new ECU installed by Mini in our 2015 R57 Convertible. I don’t want to screw anything up but is there a way to code my headlights so they come on when you unlock the car and stay on (say for 30 secs or so) when you pull in your driveway; shut off the car and lock it? I installed a new aftermarket headlight TMS module. Now, the angel eyes and turn signals work, but not the low and high beam headlight. Can the iCar Pro be used with the BimmerCode to program the TMS module?

Eco pro coasting is awesome though. I also don’t use other modes until the engine heats up. Definitely using start in eco pro mode

Unfortunately, your only option is going with an aftermarket setup like oneeighty or vivid. There just aren’t many xenon alternatives on the market

Hi love the channel thanks. I have the Vgate which you recommended. I tried for one hour to try and connect it to my phones Bluetooth. Plugged in the port have the red light but can’t detect it. I then tried my wife’s phone same happens there. Am I missing something or do you think it maybe faulty.

Greetings. I just had a new ECU installed by Mini in our 2015 R57 Convertible. I don’t want to screw anything up but is there a way to code my headlights so they come on when you unlock the car and stay on (say for 30 secs or so) when you pull in your driveway; shut off the car and lock it? Unfortunately I purchased a Blue Driver Bluetooth but now I am using a Lufi XF Revolution and I have an ICarSoft EU Pro scanner for diagnostics so I would have to but the I Car Pro for BimmerCode app (yes?). I installed a new aftermarket headlight TMS module. Now, the angel eyes and turn signals work, but not the low and high beam headlight. Can the iCar Pro be used with the BimmerCode to program the TMS module?

Hey John, I am trying to figure out how to stop the flickering footwell and dome lights when i start up my 2011 328xi. I changed them with LED bulbs but in your videos I haven't seen interior lighting codes in the Front Electronic Module. Would you be able to help me out with that?
The sock lights are Holden so the very in voltage when it lights up led need a stable source of power thts why they flicker

I have a fully loaded X2 and want to have my mirrors fold automatically when I lock the door. Now, I have to hold the button which is annoying.
