I can't speak on Chicago, never been there, but I can speak on Indiana. Been there, not a pleasant experience. Just riding with my uncle on his truck, stopped in a small town for supplies and was monitored by police every second we were in that town and followed to the city limits. Even the clerk at the store in a friendly way told us that Our People were not really welcomed in that town. I can see why he wouldn't say anything about Indiana because he's probably scared he won't be able to go back home. If he told the truth, those Con servatives would throw him out on his A--😂😂

It is so heartbreaking to see this young man man with a slave mentality in 2023.
I turned sixty-five this year and was born and raised in a suburb outside of Chicago. I remember when I was in elementary school in the sixties, there was a huge gang war going on between the "Black Stone Rangers the Disciples the Vice Lords etcetera. The violence was so out of control with these gangs that the authorities had to issue an eight o'clock curfew for adults with the exception of those going and coming from work, and a six o'clock curfew for anyone under eighteen in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. The streets were completely void of people. That is my first memory of my parents and others addressing black-on-black crime. My mother was on the board of trustees and she and the other members used to meet with Mayor Daly about such matters including many other issues that needed to be addressed in the black community. My case and point is this: This young man has no idea how long black people have been trying to fight black-on-black crime. He really needs to be educated on a lot of things going on where the black community is concerned. Thanks, Roland, for bringing this information to his attention!

I choose to believe that the majority of police officers are on the force to "serve and protect." In many Police Departments, IF the "good cops" try to stop or report the "bad cops," they are punished because they are seen as being unfaithful to the "blue line." Not only are they not protected, their chances for advancement is reduced to destroyed.
I started judging myself for beginning to feel bad for this guy. This is why developing some level of expertise on an issue is so important. We’ve gotten to a place where every person with an opinion can present their ideas without evidence and many people believing it to be true. Ignorance is dangerous!

Not so funny thing here in California there was two mass shootings in which both shooters are Asian males, and all the victims killed or injured involved are not Black. Yet some Asian person made a post stating that black people harm more Asian people than Asians do themselves.

@thandocezula9219 that is how often it happens and to whom. Police interacted with the public 61 million times. Out of 61 million encounters in 2022, that is how many people were killed. Take the number killed and divide by 61,000,000 and that is the chance of being killed by the police.
I have no clue why someone said that this means cops can't be the problem when I was showing how often they are a problem and to whom. This doesn't give a breakdown of how many were armed or not in the encounter.
