You need to sue them for endangering your health. I know it can be inconvenient and a hassle of a process, but it's worth it. Especially since I bet, they're gonna do this to the next tenant. Just plaster, paint, then try to mask the smell for as long as possible.
I know mold like I know the back of my hand and that is absolute mold and for it to expose itself that means behind the Walls is a lot of mold. You need to bring your lawyer and let them take a look, and what your management office need to do is to relocate you to another apartment same size same rent.
Absolutely! Thank you for saying that bc I KNEW it was mold and they tried to play like I was delusional or dramatic. Thankfully, they let me out without any issues!
@@KiannaDei your respiratory might not show signs right now but it's going to because the mold spores are in your system. When you sleep it attacks you even more and it goes straight to your lungs. You need to call your lawyer as soon as possible while you are still in that apartment because the minute that you leave your landlord will get rid of the mold and call you a liar, and claim that your respiratory damage had nothing to do with them.
I hate mine too! For one thing, there is never anyone at the front desk. There is a smell in my unit and I've told them about it. They come and check it out and thought it was my aor freshner. I unplugged it, threw it away, the smell is still here even after hours of air purifier and leaving the doors open to air out. I tell them again and they say to clean my unit first then we can come back over. One, that is very rude and two, it wont help if the same people come over because they arent going to be able to smell it since the air freshner is gone. Im pregnant, but its not me because my husband can smell it as well. I want to move out of this unit. Should be able to but America just sucks that way. There should be a law if the case is reasonable enough. Im throwing up constantly from this smell which isnt healtht when trying to keep weight on for my pregnancy.

Mold, especially BLACK Mold can unalive someone.. I actually lived in an apartment with my parents breathing in BLACK mold.. if I saw it I would wipe it with cleaner.. I was a teen and young adult (21 years old) back then and I’m smh 🤦🏽♀️ cause I didn’t know mold was dangerous
I think you did the right thing bringing it to the management because Mold is nothing to take lightly it very serious and like you said you don't need to have a health issue 5 to 10 years later and such a shame that's a very nice apartment and so spacious it's really very nice but nothing is more then your health and your a young woman you don't have time for any Shenanigans l put this word here with the hopes you would get a good laugh this was one of my brother's favorite words Lol And he use to crack me up with this word so l hope the made you feel a little bit better and better things will come to you and l feel your right how you feel. l have a question l hope you don't mind but why didn't they put you in another apartment like that one or very close to it that even if it's in another building l believe they at least owe you that.? Shenanigans is actually one of my favorite words lol but I did inquire and they didn't have any other available units because the most recent ones had just gotten rented out by new tenants. Truthfully, after the constant back and forth and them seemingly taking the situation anything but serious, I just wanted to leave. Thank you for the sweet message! I really appreciate it! 💚

Yes... Sue. I was exposed to black mold in my bldg bc and became sick. I had to terminate employment and now on permanent disability. I'm 😡.
