I’ve been a New York resident since I was born here in 1980. I’ve seen it change drastically over the 40 years. Being a former EMT who was part of the rescue efforts after the 9/11/01. I live a couple hours north of Manhattan. I would definitely not recommend living in the city at this point in time due to the fact that our government has gone through a massive drastic change for the worst. I wouldn’t even consider visiting the city for the foreseeable future thanks in part to the lack of security and increased crime and costs associated with the illegal entry of migrants from the southern border. Very unfortunate. I miss the New York State that I remember growing up in. I give you guys huge props for visiting the city and of course having a good time while enjoying some New York Pizza! Great video guys. Maybe one of these days I will once again visit the city.

I agree taxes are crazy. The pizza is overrated. And nobody gets the iconic cheesecake.

I hate NYC. To much. Crime. And people. I'm 3 hrs north of it. And still not far enough away.
I delivered to all the Burger Kings in all the Boroughs 5 days a week for a year straight, visiting NYC is one thing but living there is something totally different, someone tried robbing me every time I went there, cab drivers constantly running into me. Traffic is a nightmare not to mention the cost of living is astronomical. Don't get me wrong, there are some really nice places and things in NYC, heck I was born in Staten Island. NYC is an acquired taste lol. It's fast paced and I'm more of a laid back country man.
Dubai would be insane to experience for you guys but the girls would be too hot over there

I lived in Chicago in my early 20s for about 3 years. It was a blast, and that was me going to school, living in a small apartment with no money. When my wife and I were dating we went to NYC once a year to visit and then another 3 years after we got married. It was fun but last time we were there we looked at each other and said we’re done. I don’t think you could pay me to visit let alone live there. If you’re down for the pace and the vibe I’m sure it’s fine. Me personally at some point you want to slow down, and NYC is too much. I think you guys are in a good spot to experiment depends if you want to deal with weird homeless guys and sirens all the time. I’m truly an introvert, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I did enjoy my time living in the city but it really made me appreciate being in the 717. It’s not perfect but it’s a happy medium of city and country.
One of the 2 states (california) you DON'T WANT TO move to. Visiting is one thing, living there (NOW) is a bad idea, I know so many people who have gotten away from there and some who can't afford to who feel trapped but want to get away. Knowing your political BG it's definitely a bad idea.
It's convenient sure but New York's laws are so constrictive that I couldn't. Last time I visited there I got asked and hounded for money every half hour or so. Theres scammers on every corner.
You "have to" give up your guns to be in city. Idk if they come check or not. Some of the buildings are nice. Some of right areas have banging food. Oh and of course some Italian Bronx guy is going to very annoyed at you ordering but he just sounds annoyed he though hes not

For me, there is only 1 reason to go NYC now, and that's for the Animal Medical Center. It used to be shitty but now it's a super shithole thanks to Mayor Adams and his illegal immigrants.
