It's a shame that a band like this is mostly remembered for their biggest hit "Love Shack" ,therefore people think they are a catchy pop band. Far far from the one hit wonder label this band was cutting edge to the core. Cindy Wilson gets my vote for coolest performance by female ever in music video. I can't get over her crazy dance moves especially mid way through this song. Eat your heart out Madonna as MC Hammer says ".Cant Touch This"
If you know analog synthesizer's Ricky's synth is proof of the pudding. Analogs had a slightly out of tune effect live this made them cool and original with endless posibilities!! The only sound they mimicked was pure electrical current!! Check out Jeff Beck Live with Jan Hammer Goup -Freeway Jam or Darkness Earth you will hear when analogs ruled the earth.
Dear lord, that perfomance is just flaccid. The show I saw back then (promoting Whammy) was ELECTRIC and WILD, we danced atop the benches for the entire show. No one ever sat down.
The B-52's deserves to be in the Rock and Roll hall of fame .

Where do you get these ratings from?
Keith was playing guitar on some of the tracks for Whammy and Bouncing Off The Satellites. Ricky also played Bass in some of the BOTS tracks.
The only band in existance that could make a catchy dance song about of all things, butterbeans.
