Great tips, thanks. I like your videos a lot. They are informative and your explanation is clear. I just got my TM6 two weeks ago. I wonder if you have tips for getting rid of the onion smell on the rubber ring on the lid and the simmering basket?

Thank you for your lovely comments 😊 I'm so glad the videos help. Re the smell, rinse with white vinegar and that will help. 😊

My bowl gets a thrashing as I use it daily .. I tried the egg shells but didn’t still get it all :/ on the first week of purchase I did butter chicken and the whole thing stained yellow from the turmeric and it’s never really polished up since. Considering buying a second bowl but won’t be using a lot of turmeric this time

Try using white vinegar. This will be your friend! ❤️ I love turmeric but yes it stains! Soak your lid and bowl with white vinegar and then clean. If the lid is still stained and you'd like it back to clear, you can leave it in the sun for a little while too

@@ThermomixingwithSophia awesome thanks for the quickest response ever! Yes White vinegar is already my friend... I tried but I didn’t try the sun. Good idea. I will try when winter has passed on in Tasmania 😊Thankyou for all the helpful content too. I get my new blade cover/peeler tomorrow

@@tombstone7577 also you just need the sun (once it pops out) not necessarily heat x

It's seems everyone is concern of cleaning the bowl but never the lid? I have this issue that some residues were trapped in or under the rubber of the lid. So may I know how we clean it ?? Can we take the rubber out from the lid to clean the residue ? Thanking in advance if you could revert

Hi Shirley - for the TM31 model, the rubber seal can be removed. For the TM5 or TM6 model, the rubber seal does not come off. When I have stains or smells in my lid after cooking, I lay it on a flat surface with rubber seal facing up (no measuring cup) and fill the lid with white vinegar and soak it for about 5mins. Hope this helps :)

@@ThermomixingwithSophia Thank you so much for your speedy revert with much appreciation. Will give it a try but doubted it. Cause the residue had seeped under it. I made soymilk yesterday and while washing the residue seeped in. I just worried in long run it will have those yucky black mold under it as it happened to most products with rubber insulation. I just don't feel good. Thank you so much for your revert

@@ThermomixingwithSophia Thanks. Probably Thermomix should look into this for further improvement in cleaning the lid or have it removable. My 2 cent as opinion. Thanks so much Sophia and have a good day
