Hi Annie. Great question. The TM5 (2014-2019) and TM6 (current model) have very robust scales and it wouldn't cause any issues with calibration. The TM31 I would remove the bowl to give it a good rub as that model (it ceased in 2014) was more prone to scale issues. I hope this helps :)
@@TmxingAdventures thank you for that answer - it’s a relief to know that the scales are now more robust - I have only had my TM6 2 weeks and have been terrified to even push the lid on, having been warned to not damage the scales! Of course I will still be careful … but not terrified🤣. I am glad there is a lock for the scales if you move it about anywhere though. I do enjoy your videos - they are really helpful - thank you.
Oh Annie. Don't be scared of the scales. Unless you drop the TM, you really can't break them. I travelled in our caravan and we drove on horrible corrugated roads and they didn't have any issues at all. Try to always lift, never drag and the transportation mode will lock the bowl in place so that it doesn't bounce around. I hope this helps and you are going to love your Thermomixing journey. Have fun and enjoy the videos x
Do u know by turning the mixer bottom of the mixinh bowl you csn take off the blade in 2 seconds? Will be so easy to clean wo the blades on.
does the citric acid solution affect the blade seal?
I am wondering if the pressure put on for the scrubbing is not good for the scale?
