Wow, so much more easier than the previous generation. I have to take the whole door panel off to replace my old switch

Thanks for the video. My trunk switch was not working on my 2014 Sonata. I procrastinated for 3 years, using only the key fob to open the trunk. Finally I ordered the $18 part from eBay. It took two minute to swap the module, plus the buttons look brand new. Everything works again. Thanks!

Perfect!! I knew there had to be any easier way than paying $450 at the dealership ‼️😡. Thank you 😊

Sometimes the plunger in the back breaks too. You'll know if it's that because the manual cable in the trunk won't work either.

I feel like this is a really dumb question. How many springs are there in the original design? When ours broke I found 4 springs, that's all that's there, right? Since it's all kinda encased in there I I worry about one of the springs getting trapped back somewhere.

My fuel door button does not work but the trunk works, does that mean the fuse is working since they are connected to the same fuse?

Ok, so my 2011 Hyundai Sonata has the same setup. Neither of my buttons work, but also the trunk button on the keys as well. If the buttons aren’t working, would that also cause the trunk button on my keys to also not work?

If the one of the buttons does not work, both won't work? Or is it possible trunk would work and fuel filler would not? This is a much easier fix than trying to replace the entire Fuel Filler Door Opener Assembly.

Yes it is possible for one to work and not the other. this comes down to the copper contacts on each and if they're not touching this would cause it to not work however if the contacts are damaged that could be another issue. Easiest and fastest way is just to replace the part.

this is my issue right now. my trunk button works but not my fuel but i bought the buttons for both so might as well change both.
