Thanks for posting, and for give us so many minutes of marillion. They sound as good as always with Nick beggs, and i am glad to see they still play first period classics like sugar mice.
The set lasted an hour at least, so there was much more. It was interesting to hear Nick Beggs on bass. He is a remarkably prolific musician in his own right - as well as the writer and illustrator of a funny series of children’s books. We really enjoyed the Marillion performance. This cruise was a voyage of discovery, because we were unfamiliar with most of these bands. In the past, CTTE featured many members of Yes and Genesis, but many of them have passed on or for whatever reason are not doing the cruise, so there were mainly the wider field of prog rock bands.
Oh, Hi! I recognize your name. I love Wishbone Ash! You guys are fantastic. We discovered too late that you were touring up the East Coast, but we hope to see you in the UK someday.
Hey guys, thanks for sharing. Looks like it was a great time and the bands sounded great. What a great way to spend a cruise with some very talented bands. Love the Marillion bits. My fave band and have been following them since the early 80's. Thx again!
Wow, we had never heard them before but I can see why you have been a fan for so long. I walked out of that show with them being my favorite. We are now going through all of their albums on Apple Music. Marillion was fantastic.
Sorry we didn't get to meet on board. It was my 7th CttE. Best 7 vacations of my life. For me after all these years it's as much a family or summer camp reunion as it is about the fantastic music. Next time check out Late Night Live! Love love love the Tolkien quote at the end.
Wow, your 7th trip, that is awesome! I can definitely see why you like it. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation on CTTE. If we go back next year we will look you up! I love the Tolkien quote too, it is so true. He is one of my favorite authors.
I hate to generalize but in my experience many prog fans seem to be LotR nerds, as well as sci-fi, Star Trek, bad puns and Monty Python fans.@@GlennaRedcliffe
You get to see them around on the ship and Johnnie Luca, from Adrian Belew Power Trio, introduced himself to us at lunch one day, after we told him we enjoyed his show. Very nice guy! I probably could have met more but I’m a bit shy. 🙈 There are Q&A sessions with most of the bands and that was very cool.
Hello my friend, I hope you are doing well 🤗🌹....this was such a wonderful tour views and beautiful boat 📹..I enjoy watching your video. it is entertaining and superb sharing...🌺 Keep going. You are doing a really great job 🤗👍.. Stay connected 🌷❤ My greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 🇨🇦
I LOVED Marillion! Their show was captivating. It was not only great music but the performance by Steve Hogarth was theatrical. Everyone in the band was top notch.
I have never been on a cruise but I wouldn’t mind going on one. The tour of your room looked big. I’m guessing you upgraded. I hear the rooms are usually tiny. Very cool that you got to see the bridge. I would have assumed that it would be like on an airplane and you couldn’t get anywhere close to look at it. When I was in the Navy in San Diego I used to go on the bridge all the time to drive my ship, the uss cowpens. It looks like you two are living the good life. Lots of great food and attending concerts all day. 👍
We would have loved a tour of the bridge but just getting to view it was so cool. We had one of the larger cabins with a balcony. It was spacious and it was nice to eat some of our meals on our private balcony. (Especially since we are both introverted. 😂) We’re glad we went. The progressive rock genre is fascinating and the musicians were incredibly talented. Very different from mainstream, which is why we enjoyed the festival so much.
Nick Beggs did a superb job standing in for Pete.
He is extremely talented.
Great cruise! Fun to hear so many bands on the ship- a real music fest!! Your food looked amazing!! 👌🌟🌟🌟
The food was amazing. We enjoyed the cruise so much. It was a lot of fun! 🙂

Nick Beggs is fuckin brilliant. As a Marillion fan I'm gutted I didn't get to see him play with the band in the flesh.
Yeah, he is! Absolutely fuckin brilliant 💯
