Greetings, there are many places in the SF county area to explore, and toward the Southern end of the Sandias. As well as SFNF trails which you have probably seen. You can escape the heat usually by heading there. And in all directions from SF there are many sights to see. It is not boring out here if you have reliable transportation and an adventurous spirit, just getting to know the geology in it's own is great, in my mind i want to be like that grandpa who knows all the tales and rich history of the west (South West).

Wow! Love this! We are going to have to put this on our list for next round - we absolutely LOVE New Mexico!! Loved the lizard spotting! Agreed - I bet snow would be BEAUTIFUL in this area - and horseback riding would be a great way to see it! Funny - we often talk about this being an area we could wind up in - so amazing!
