the manequins wont pass any light sourse, not even street lamps. thats why they stop at the street lights and turn around. the light is like a wall. while, on the contrary, those monsters are atracted to light. so, if you should ever encounter both a monster and a manequin you would find yourself in a catch 22. what do you do? shine the light or keep it off? either way, somethings going to get you...

Game had potential. It needed to integrate the riddles better - like say having to find the objects - and get some actual voice acting or at least some way to distinguish between you and Cyrus's dialogue with Cyrus's lips moving and in general look better than just an asset shoved in there.

Honestly, I've been so desperate for some classic let's plays that aren't all mainstream games like minecraft, fortnight, etc. It's so refreshing to watch someone play some indie games, like early Markiplier and Jacksepticeye. So you just earned yourself another avid subscriber

i feel that every time i cant open any random door in a game that takes me out of the inmersion, if im lost in an empty town let me go to the buildings and see the things, if i cant that makes the whole thing seem like those old on rail shooters or a cheap movie

I love the lack of handholding with that first mannequin thing. Like the Devs could've easily said "shine your flashlight at mannequins to get them to freeze" but then that ruins it. Much more satisfying when you discover that yourself, As 99% of players will do in the first 30 seconds of the encounter
the best part of this game is the look. It looks amazing. I'd overhaul everything else. . . . audio, gameplay, method of delivery, monsters, battle, etc. I think you are smart to be getting all these riddles. Great content from you as always, too bad the game fell short of expectation.

The thing is that this game had potential. It has a good atmosphere. Great graphics (especially for an indie game). The monsters were genuinely inspired. But it was poorly designed. Poorly written. The riddles are more frustrating than fulfilling and they were obiviously there to pad out game length. The game was too short. The story made so sense. There are far more questions than answers and not in a good way. It is a shame. The people who made it obviously have some talent, but this so the definition of "Meh"

I think this game missed the point entirely; if you have puzzles and riddles, then there needs to be hints around for the answers. Otherwise it's tedious and, really, just poor game design. At least the game saves. But it's just premade assets on a premade map. I enjoyed your playthrough, not the game, though.

Not being picky or saying its a bad thing, but quite a lot of the assets, especially the environment, are stock assets of the unreal engine 4. Like the entrance of the subway was straight off the "matinee sample level" from the unreal unreal engine samples. I think its still OK if they would use the free assets from the unreal engine in a creative way, but just using the matinee sample level AS IS for the subway entrance without editing it in one way or another is cringe-worthy.
The entire thing seems to be an asset flip, I just realized that when the game start and the first letter you find is a cube with a badly uv textured letter, not a single fuck given with the attention to detail and lots of assets used as stock, also the dialogue system is horrible, you can't know who is talking, for a game made in ue4 the lighting is pretty cheap and dull, no global illumination baked, no well placed reflection probes, I mean, you can argue the over excessive contrast and dull point lights are an artistic choice to immerse the loneliness in the game or whatever, but it just seems to me like lazy devs. I liked the concept of monsters that freeze with the flashlight (like we've seen in many movies already, but never seen in a game at least for me.) I like the idea of a riddle based horror game that gives you Metroidvania access to a city but it absolutely feels like an asset pack with a few things plopped in it, not really a developed world or story.

The riddles ARE easy. These riddles are ALL common riddles. Honestly, needing to look these up was kinda a surprise to me, I got most of these very quickly when I played.
I feel like the developer wanted to gradually open up the town through gameplay rather than have it all be accessible from the start, but had no clue how to accomplish this. Hence the riddles were created, and honestly they rapidly become annoying as all hell. They need to be removed in a post release patch.
Sound is really glitchy, when I clicked back to main menu after completing the first level all the sounds looped over and over. Bad Ice Cream 3 game on hudgames
I'm not sure how I feel about this one. Sure, I love riddles as much as the next guy, maybe even more than most (only couldn't solve maybe two. For whatever reason I couldn't think of the ice or doll ones). That being said, the riddles could have been implemented so much better. The monsters were fine, as a whole. The mannequin/weeping angel thing has been really overdone, but adding in those lanky, glowing eye monsters on the upper floors worked pretty well. Visually, it looked fine (even with that damn lighting glare when you get too close to something. Practically an Unreal engine standard). But the whole map and everything in it are just the same assets used by practically every Indy game dev nowadays. I get that building a game is hard, but when everyone uses the same assets over and over again it just feels lazy.
I'm sorry but The only good things about this Game is that You can Freeze The Mannequins with The Flashlight and The Amazing Graphics everything else sucks The Riddles are Channeling but They don't belong in this Game

That "doll" riddle... it's not an answer you'd think of because it's not clever. It could equally well just be a corpse at that point.
