I've always wondered about games in which you go somewhere abandoned, yet there are lit candles and/or torches throughout the place. No one mentions it within the game.. why are these candles lit? Who lit them? Nope, not a thought about it.
That thing skittering out of a door and up the wall gave me the creeps. I reflexively looked up at the ceiling of my (dark) room.😱 And some of the other jump scares got me good. Scariest and saddest bit, though, is that the description says the characters and events of the game were inspired by rl cases of abuse in Russian orphanages. Impressive indie game. Aside the fact that this character could have put on a good old pair of sneakers, but even the monsters have heels so, it’s fair… This was brilliant! It has everything I like. A good-looking game, there’s a threat but you can easily hide, you can find lighter fluid pretty often… Scary but not impossible, that’s how I like it.I would have avoided just the jumpscares. Best highlights ever, Chris. XD The ghosts dancing Thriller choreography were really a bonus.
The quality of indie horror games has really come a long way. I love the artform - they don't have to be graphically demanding. The mood, the sound design, story and quality voice acting. The jump scare timing and the character design for the scary guys have also evolved nicely. Thanks for all of the hours of entertainment, that I really enjoy on a regular basis Cheers
It amazes me how some of the bigger names are making shite games for triple, and more, the cost of indie games like this one. This one is done so well, they even provided enough lighter fluid for the most part. The scares , even though expected, are effective, quite impressive. Job well done developers! I saw to stick around till the end for some dancing. Never knew I needed to see a ghost/zombie do the Thriller dance in booty shorts, but I was not disappointed.

the atmosphere is cool but it relies way too much on jumpscare. they have a pretty cool stealth mechanics, they should have used that more to deliver its horror elements. not saying those jumpscare didn't get me sweating, i just think this is sort of a wasted opportunity for something much better

Nice to see another gameplay from you once again, are you able to play the Fatal Frame/Project Zero series on the PS3? I believe you can download them on the PS Store for the PS3 but I am not too sure if they do it on PS4 version but trust me you will enjoy that, it's worth a shot. It's a classic franchise that came out on the PS2 in the 2000s so hopefully you and your other fans will enjoy it, it's one of my favourite Japanese horror series of all time. Please give it a try.
