    The mom developed a drinking problem after being trapped with only the dad and Adam for company for decades. I feel so bad for her. But I guess they would be dead if they didn't go into the bomb shelter.

      Well then why the dad and the son didn’t develop a drinking problem because of the same reason?

    • @lizzyrank5405
      @lizzyrank5405 2 года назад +69

      @@achannel6677 sometimes people deal with stress differently that's what some use medication, drugs, alcohol, gambling, exercise, food etc. It's mainly whatever that they can use. Adam and his father exercised(boxed everyday)for the most part while the mom cooked, cleaned and tought him about social skills. It could also be that she already had that habit of drinking since it's also a very social act but not as heavy as when in the shelter. Unfortunately for her she didn't have any female partners to confide in and Adam and his father did.
      As for Adam not drinking I think it's cause they didn't allow him to, even though they were very loving parents and taught him everything they were still protective. Heck the dad didn't want him to know about adult stuff to the point he said that the av store was highly radioactive.

    • @callielucas1197
      @callielucas1197 Год назад

      That's a very judgemental statement about people who lost their home. Being homeless does not automatically make as someone dishonest and criminal. Maybe many are, but many aren't. You don't hear about the honest ones, because they are just trying to live, to survive... And to survive judgement people's treatment of them. So please consider rethinking your opinion by learning how easy it can be to lose your home. More and more people are, all over the world. Many good, decent people. Ok. In regards to the movie characters, they were down and out people who were looking for hope in life, and joined a rather ridiculous "LeaveMyElevatorAlone" church created by the self-appointed "Archbishop Melker. They may all be rather off, but not criminal.

    I've seen this and it was soo sweet. I loved the adult store bit. I also loved seeing the male lead and the ex boyfriend actors in the same movie and wished they were in more

    How could the authorities believe them to be killed in the crash when they didn't find any dead body?

    I almost died of laughing in the process of watching this film. Please be cautious. It's dangerous.

    One of my favorite movies. It's so wild watching it once when I was a kid and seeing how much the world has changed since then when I watched it again a few weeks ago. Things weren't that different in some ways but drastically in others.
