I came down here to literally comment on it that is totally not what I hear every time lol.
I dropped straight into a bug hole last night
Make sure to get all the rare samples near the butt holes.
The most useful bit in the guide... You making sure your OUTFIT is in order... You cannot spread DEMOCRACY while not looking your dandiest.
though all helmets technically have the same stats, I maintain that the drone master one is objectively the best

There are two different Point of Interest symbols that you will see on the map, one that looks like a diamond (shape) with a ping, and one that looks like an actual diamond with a outline. The one with the outline means there is still loot to collect, it only counts Samples, Medals, and Super Credits, and will change to the other symbol once all of those have been found.

Pro tip for super uranium farming: pick a planet with easy visibility to spot the rock easier. Was farming the planet "Estanu" last night. Only appears on Difficultly 7-9 can be done solo, look for a Blitz mission which is a smaller area to find the rock, once you do just hide and don't aggro the bugs. Wait for the timer to end and extract. Rinse & repeat. You extract with your samples even if the mission isn't completed. Good luck farming soldiers!
Just dont do this on a planet that other Helldivers are actively pushing to liberate, do it on the 10-20% planets with lower pops

@GeneraI_Motors if you are only getting uranium then just run around and don't kill anything, they are always bunched up together. Get those and run to the extraction point and wait for the timer and hide
Orange Rare Sample Tip: if you do the new defensive automaton civilian extract you can easily walk away with 20+ rares a run. You get a 40 minute timer, the map is small, and in my experience the rares come in large clusters of 5+ due to the limited number of POIs

@wjt764 @iretrixi9252 Me and my homie were running the new civilian extract on 5 (sometimes 6) so we could duo it. Then we’d spend the 10-13 minutes we had left over searching the smaller maps POIs for rare clusters
They boosted the difficulty of these missions a LOT since this video FYI. Take into account that you may be chased by a lot more bugs now along with 2-3 bile titans at any given moment. I'd revisit this kind of video again if it is updated for the harder difficulties.

They made the higher difficulties a lot harder recently, pretty sure this was filmed before those changes

If you want to run away from the bugs rather than fight I suggest taking smoke airstrikes/orbitals. avoid taking smoke grenades cause some POI's have crates you want to blow the doors off of. The bugs will move where they last see you enter a smoke cloud then you can run to a cover after running through, and the bugs will clump and lose you.
My team and I came up with a strat where two would go scout/sample duty and two would do clean up/distraction duty. Clean up crew is also a great way to distract hordes away from the scouts in case things go awry. If you're clean up crew, try to drop on a very tall perch/hill. It's the best way to waste the bugs time and you get to reenact any dramatic "last stand" scene 😂
I don’t have this luxury, the randoms I play with are mostly sticking as a squad. So my playstyle that has been very intense but working very well, is a crack-induced speedrun build. I use jump pack, grenade launcher, and light armor for speed. I literally sprint across the map speed running bug holes grabbing all the samples. Teammates love me clearing them all and holding 30+ samples, until it’s time to extract and they see me running over the hill followed by a massive horde including 2 Bile Titans 4 Chargers and loads of regular bugs
I mean this is just how the game should be played if you aren't brain dead, unless you like wasting time rewalking the map for no reason
Basic tactics are no longer strategies, this isn't the stone age

Be advised, aiming for legs is better than the head of the normal infantry bugs since they can still come after you after losing their heads.
They bleed out really fast without a head so it's way more ammo efficient. The personal shield will absorb any attacks you can't dodge.

@@feral_orcWrong. Breaker blows their head off in one shot at close range, needs two shots to kill if shooting legs off.
Theyll charge forwards without a head so you only have to sidestep them.
Another important tip is if you're doing this, don't do it on a planet that's got a decent amount of liberation. You are actively losing the galactic war for other people if you fail or abandon missions for sample/super credit farming. Do it on planets that are as close to 0% liberation as you can.

@@Idlepit2 Nice getting +1 and -2 liberation is a great W for us.
By the way the Scout armor has a feature - as you can read in desciption - ping the map and you can see enemies around the pinged point, more over if you hover your mouse pointer on Point of interest, it will show it. I do not know is it working with this blurred planet, but in normal planets are working fine. I tested many times. In clear planets you can find many of these point by checking the flashing yellow "signs" if you see in the distances, but some point are hidden (for example the Mini Nuke). Here can help this armor.
all armors let you do that, i've been using legionaire armor which has Servo Assisted trait and i can still ping for PoI's.
That same scout helmet, on page 7, adds stealth stats not shown on the card. Lowers your armor, improves run speed and stam regen.
And lowering your armor right now doesn't matter since armor values don't work as intended, i.e. takes 6 hits from a basic mob to die in heavy armor and 6 to die in light armor
i didnt know the helmets had stats...tought they were cosmetic only. how'd you figure this out?
Watching other videos. Decided to try it out and yep, sure does! I didn't try the other helmets yet, but this one does when you compare it. Probably a bug, but every little bit counts!@@SaltAndVi

I'm about 99% sure it's only a visual glitch. I've been running with groups and I'm not any faster or can sprint any farther than anyone else in good light armor.

At the base of the giant mushrooms for secondary objectives tend to be alot of samples aswell.

I just land on high ground , find the rock from distance (rocket the spore spewer if you can’t find it ) crawl and creep to samples, then hide around the corner from the extract. When it’s just landing , sprint to it bypassing all bugs 👍
Actually tried this but left my lobbies open and actually found people who were helpful by helping with the bug holes and being separated from me so they and I could all benefit from getting super rare samples.
Did this on Suicide Mission at least 5 times and they were a success; even when it was just with 1 extra helldiver, it was still doable, let alone on 3 different Terminid planets and other hazards included.
This surprisingly still works if you state from the start how you’re playing to grind for super rare samples to randoms/friends, and if they want super rare samples too, it only helps everyone.

I don't have any friends who play it either, but I play with randoms. that's fun too.
Yeah in general this type of mission is probably the best for farming because worst case scenario you can just bum rush a few holes to clear them out asap and even sacrifice a few lives to do so. And then once that's done you can go full stealth to try and collect more samples, especially the super samples, and then rush for the exit.

I drop my samples on purpose (hold x on keyboard) outside of battle zones so I can complete the objective. And pick them up afterwards in case I die or get chased

Think I may prefer the GL for these missions just due to the ease of closing buggoles/blowing open the containers, but it does make chargers more annoying since they then require stratagems to deal with.
When did you record this video? Today or a couple days ago? Because it seems that it was recorded a couple days ago, as the difficulty for 7, 8 and 9 wasn't bumped up significantly yet. I also do this solo mostly, but there are sooo much more enemies now. Multiple chargers and 10-20 hunter patrols, not even talking about when the unavoidable breaches happen and you get 2 more chargers and countless more hunters in.
i’m playing on hard difficulty and i am encountering enemies at this rate… along with multiple bile titans at a time. not really sure how to play the game without getting absolutely destroyed.
@lou13.v4 the game isn't designed for solo. For anything with even basic armour you need specialist equipment to damage it frontally. The bile titan won't even get hurt from a lot of medium armour pen without hitting weakspots

@@the_takibo Yep there was apparently a bump up in difficulty, or so people say. The railgun was nerfed to smithereens - takes quite a few shots to down a Bile Titan now :(

Most likely safe. If there was a bile titan then that’s when you switch or a charger
Idk, its mostly only been common samples I'm lacking. Which btw, the defend mission for automatons, The blitz mission to kill so many of them, has 10 common on it, you can do it on medium, and you can beat the mission in like 5-8 minutes.

Nice, I havent been able to find any games with other players so its basically become a solo mission unless my friends are on, and they are low level and for some reason dont want to bother completling anything but main objective. This will help. Unfortunately I'm not level 20 yet
The new patch today has fixed matchmaking, just click quickplay when searching to join someones ship or start a mission on your own and throw an sos beacon. Was getting full lobbies all night
Same here! It's so much more fun playing infull lobbies than by myself. I also didn;t have to wait to be let into the game due to servers being full. @@Parcel1908

How are you inputting the stratagems so quickly? No per input sound or anything. Do you have macros for that?
You should also kill spore mushrooms as there are usually a lot of samples under them ( like 6 common
are samples on difficulty 8 )
The last spore tree I blew up had ONE common at it that was it. I felt so cheated lol

Level doesn't really matter. You can get the skills pretty low level
@@ian0669 Shield generator and Railgun are Lvl 20 though
For solo probably. Both the personal shield and the rail gun are only available at level 20. If you have a group you can definitely get it done before level 20.
11:10 the bugs who calls for breaches are the small red ones, you see them spit red smoke in the air, its not the big ones who keeps moving after dying.
was thinking of picking up the legionnaire is it any good? currently using medium armor for more syringes but not sure if thats what i like since it seems most of my time is just running

Has anyone found a way to tell where to click on the drop map so you can land close to it maybe like a hint at least so you are not running around for ever trying to find pink samples?
On the map look for building like structures on the map that aren’t objectives
You should use the Infiltrator hooded helmet, it makes you slightly faster.
Can you put a date in your video when you recorded the game?
10:55 Actually that thing is likely to be intentional, cause it does also occur in the real world for example cockroaches can survive without their head for few days, so it's not that weird that brood commanders also can survive too as they are also bugs, but space bugs. We all should be happy they only live like 3 second not few days without head
I like using mortars before infiltrating an are saves you from having to deal with bug breaches
This is great for late night runs! But solo divers it’s as easy as quick Reddit search for friends. I have 4 separate groups I can team and chat and laugh any time. Just little effort in brothers
Put the helmet that goes with that armor for more move speed. It's one of the only two helmets that do something.
taking off the head of commander lets him still do things for 10s before the game considers him dead
A lot of bugs, ants and wasps for example release pheromones when killed to alert the hive.
The trailblazer helmet is bugged right now. Use it gives you a bit less armour and more movement speed.
Armour is also bugged right now, so it's technically optimal to wear the helmet on any armour set.
Movement speed is identical. Its a visual effect / bug on your screen only.
Have yall ever ran into samples under a small rock pile how do you get them ?
You can also run with the map open. While running hit Tab. I come across a lot of people that don't know you can do that. Also the Diamond symbol will change to a pin if all resources have been picked up.
Should tell people to rebind the map key because hitting shift+tab in the middle of a mission Is a bad idea
@@iamapotato3191 You can rebind it or turn off Steam overlay. I have steam overlay off completely though.
Even if you had friends to play with , queuing up with them is more difficult than the suicide mission.
What Grenade is that for u to one shot the bug holes? Impact? Cos impact I also have go near and aim down
As long as it goes in the hole, pretty much in the orange part it blows them up. It is harder than the other nades considering they can roll down, but just takes practice. For automaton factories you kind of want to aim just below the vent, or simply wait for the door to open and throw it in there

free tip, turn your samples collected display to be always visible.
How are there so few enemies? Is that planet specific? Since when I do it, I get at least 3 ttans and 10 chargers

What booster do you use?
How are you doing stategems so fast? Is it some kind mode for binding buttons?
binding the keys for up down etc to arrow keys for exmple. you still keep your movement keys to WASD but utilize the numpad or whatever for up down left rght
The brute commander head off calling for reinforcements is not a bug, cockroaches can live without head almost 72 hrs to be able to lay eggs if they have some, so if we follow the same logic it is rational to think that the commander can call for reinforcements after being decapitated
If you want common samples you should do the tiny map (better if lv4 difficulty for medals) and you can get 10 common samples and 3 medals every 3 minutes of drop time + the long post game scene.
You really don’t need to farm common samples… You’ll earn more then enough from completing missions and exploring the map…

How are you running so fast? I have stamina and the light armor and helmet. Does the muscle enhancement make you run that fast?

How is your mission so chill, while when i do it with friends, the bugs call for a breach IMMEDIATLY, and they will always spawn 2-3 heavy bugs.
Also at every end of the mission, we fail to extraxt, cause there are TWO Bile Titans waiting for us....

How would you suggest doing this now that the railgun is nerfed?
Third time trying this method and I cannot find more than a few common and 3 orange samples a game. It takes me half the game to clear out one area and then the other half running around trying to find a single sample
What difficulty are you doing that on?
Give it time. You'll get more efficient at it. I used to struggle and being good with airstrike placements and landing your shots helps immensely.
This strategy requires at least tier 7 difficulty to be able to get all samples let alone a good amount

Yeah, things have definetly changed... it's way way harder to manage bug as of now. I haven't been able to complete a 'sample farm' run alone.

The limb health buff. The hellpod optimisation can be mitigated by calling down a supply drop at the start of the mission.
Takibo is the real deal. Doing high level missions like that by yourself is the epitome of skill.
I recommend 8 because you can get 5 super rares, but that’s just me
Maybe do another video on how to find the sample rock. Because I've ran through this over a dozen times and haven't found it once. I don't get how the hell anyone finds it
just as much common samples in a run on medium difficulty as there is suicide. just run easier difficulties depending on what type of samples you are after. only need to run high difficulties for purple samples

It's intended, the commander can survive without a head. Shoot the legs off for a quicker kill
His point wasn't it staying alive without a head, his point was it shouldn't be able to call for a bug hole breach without a head. Seeing how the cry/smoke they emit is what calls the bug hole. Should be pretty impossible to cry/blow smoke with no mouth or head lol

10:50 is actually not a bug, when shoot there heads off, they will keep moving for ~5 seconds u have to aim for the legs on theese to kill them instant

maybe it is fixed, maybe its on me but i loved those impact grenades but they dont close the bug holes. They blow up in front of hole...
The explosion needs to hit inside the ring, so you gotta aim for the back wall of the orange part. They definitely still close it, and it's fully intentional.
It would be cool if arrowhead would add more gear specifically for soloing missions. Maybe even something that you can only use if you are solo (for the sake of keeping the game balanced) A lot of people actually enjoy soloing in games like this. I also have no friends that play this.
Nice mission. Did it myself like that in the beginning. But know im using just modded lobbys lul, always 100 Samples in like 5min. If anyone is lazy aswell hmu

They reference is to chopping a chicken's head off.
You're better off shooting off their legs rather than their head.
