    It looks great! I feel like a bit of heat is helpful for manageability and seeing less single strand knots. I’m approaching 40 and starting to get grays so I think way to have long silver hair. So the goal is growth. But at your age I had a bob as well.

    Again just what I need at the right time. 👏🏾 ever since I got micro locs my scalp has been sooo dry and flaky 😩 I’m running out of shampoo and conditioner so imma have to add these products to my list. Also I think you should cut it. Don’t be afraid to cut and have fun with your hair it will grow back. I feel like when people see someone with long beautiful hair and we want that for ourselves the advice it to keep it but you do you girl!

      Tbh I don’t do much to keep my silk presses up! I just try and wrap it every night (if I’m not lazy), I use a dry shampoo every 2-3 days. And the gymwrap headband keeps my edges LAID during workouts.

      I don’t do much, honestly! I try and wrap it every night (alternating directions each night), spray it with dry shampoo every 2-3 days, and if you work oul, the gymwrap headband keeps edges from frizzing up (I discovered it on TikTok and it’s literally a miracle headband lol). That’s really it!

    How did you find a braider that was gentle with your hair? I’ve been wearing wigs for years and want to get back into braids but I’m scared the person doing them will rip/pull my hair. I’ve also thought about sew-ins but will probably get a closure install since I don’t want any leave out. You look great btw ❤️

    • @Naakie
      @Naakie  Год назад +7

      Girl it took A LOT of trial and error. I’ve been to some braiders who straight up snatched out all my edges 😩 it’s not ideal but I def experimented a lot. Something that did help was asking for recos from my stylist and friends who have healthy hair.

    • @lindashankle9645
      @lindashankle9645 Год назад +1

      I get very close braids without scalp gaps. Ask your braider to start the braid at the end of a rattail comb for about an inch, then start braiding your hair. The 1 inch pieces will be sticking out and you will look strange, but B-A-B-Y, then she will sew all of those pieces together in a cute angle around your face and you won't have your edges pulled at all. A good braider will know how to do that; however, only my shop owner, her cousin (who quit), and one other braider at the shop knows how to do it. Those three wonderful ladies at Braids R US in Missouri City, TX are light with their fingers and never hurt me.

    How do you work out while you have the wig as a protective style? Would be interested to know if you go around with the cornrows or if you use the wig in all settings. Also, did you choose a glueless closure wig? If so, how were the combs to your hair? I've found them to be very damaging on those areas.

    I just watched a video on how to grow hair without protective styles and the girl mentioned she does twist outs so I looked up how to do that and your old video came up, but seeing you now have grown your hair with protective style which I'd like to explore together with the twist out so my question is what do you think of twist out when trying to grow hair (I understand no particular style grows fast) but can I still incorporate hair growth treatments while maintaining a twist out, won't my hair shrink? I have THE 4c hair.
