My dad was a truck driver and he's talking about trying to get his CDLs back, but I love listening to his stories of when he drove. That's why I can't wait to turn 18 in 3 months

Good luck! I’m almost 21 and can’t wait to drive across those state lines lol. Time flys tho, felt like yesterday I was in your shoes waiting to be 18, I got my permit and drove with my dad for a long time, had to even renew my permit once. But I have been driving locally for a while. I live in Albuquerque so I’m not a huge fan of this city, but I love driving, it’s so addicting lol. I love when I get a few longer hauls across the state though, just open road, late nights, it’s amazing 🤩
@@jacob2483 Yeah I'm not a fan of over the road but if I did it would be in an old pre emissions truck no eld junk for me! It would be fun to see the country and get payed tho
@@ricochetey yeah Occasionally I’ll be out driving in the state but picking up reefers and stay overnight at truck stops, I love it and since we are local, when we do go out farther than 150 miles from home we can use paper logs.

Man I wish I could’ve seen ya while you was in jc-Johnson city, my hometown is right down the road about 20 minutes little town called limestone. Our trucks run across Sam and Buckner gap all the time going to hickory always a beautiful view all year long. Also if your hungry the next time you go to hickory exit 90 Nebo exit on I-40 there’s a little bp station that’s got a grill the cook is a little crazy but she makes amazing food

One time I was pulled off and I was going to hop back in the sleeper but I guess I stayed on the driver seat and had one of those dreams and when I woke up in my dream I woke up from the dream if that makes sense and I just gripped the steering wheel so hard and freaked out then realized I was off the road and parked lmfaoo sooooo trippy never again...🤣🤣

Man I love these videos. My dad just started his own lil trucking gig and I'm begging him every time I have a chance for him to take me on a trip. His is a 2019 cascadia so nothing close to as fancy as yours but dang I love everything. Going to classes to get my A&P (Airplane mechanic pretty much) certificate but if that falls through, I know what my backup will be

How are the king pins in the front end? Seems like you are making alot of minor corrections to go straight. I had mine replaced and it cleaned up the steering alot. Great video bud, I really enjoy your videos

I drive a international eagle and once they replaced the king pins and spindles it was like driving a new truck.

Thanks man really appreciate it. I think it’s habit from when the king pins weren’t done. All new king pins in it and I can actually let go of the steering wheel and it’ll go straight for a long ways. Before I had pins done it would always pull one way
@@TheMilkMans when me and my wife started dating i noticed she drove an automatic with both feet, left foot on the brake and right foot on the gas, lots at the same time. i broke her of that bad habit, took a while, i put her in a standard shift and she soon learned the correct way.

Hahaha oh yeah! I’ve done that too! I was pulling the flatbed once and ended up having to wait in line. Hadn’t slept in a good while and the forklift operator came over to get me. Well, he honked the horn and literally jumped up thinking I was headed into oncoming traffic. Shits wild out here 😂 I’m just glad I’m not the only one that this happens too

Sounds like you was in Siler City Nc. They have a chicken plant there. You have to dropped your trailer and park outside.
