Aris and Panathinaikos atmosphere was pretty cool actually. I mean its obvious from all these countries that Greece is the most hyped and most fun on the court. Not something you would see in Australia or the US. In general the fans in Europe are more crazy/fanatic. Whatever team they have in football they chose the same in basketball and they bring all this hype in the courts. Wish we had the same in Aus.

Aside from throwing random shit on the court I wish fans were passionate like this in America. I always feel alone screaming like a maniac at NBA games and I still don’t feel like I’m as wild as these people.
Well considering those are the same fans in football (soccer) games, throwing stuff on the court is the minimum they usually do.

The point is, that almost the whole of southern Europe has multi-sports clubs. So if you are a fan of a certain club in football, it is obvious you are a fan of the whole sports family. One day you go support a football club, and the next day you support the basketball club. Basically the same club. And you support it the same way.

The other thing is, if your father supports a certain club, you will support it too, otherwise... there will be no otherwise.

It’s because the NBA is filled with overpaid divas who are just not relatable to their fans. As a result fans in America are just not as passionate. The closest we get to this is College Football, because those are our “kids” out there playing for our schools and/or home city/state. NIL risks changing that too as players in college are now making upwards of Millions of dollars to play….but as it relates to basketball, NBA arenas will never have this type of atmosphere, that ship sailed long ago. The players are simply to rich and quite frankly soft. Why would someone get so invested in their NBA team when the biggest stars in the league can’t even be bothered to play 70-75 games in an 82 game season? 🤷♂️
